I have not been keeping notes on this. But over the last 20 years I would say western farang deaths by motorbike are quite a bit higher in Phuket as compared to Pattaya... Pattaya has weekly even daily sometimes Thai deaths by motorbike, but surprisingly, farang deaths by motorbike are almost, but not quite, uncommon in Pattaya.... I think one reason is that all expats are almost forced to get a motorbike in Phuket...No one wants to deal with the awful taxis in Phuket....
