  1. Five of them breathing the air through straws.
  2. You are a Thai citizen, you are not Thai though.
  3. Foreign sense of justice? As far as I am aware there are laws in Thailand and a justice system in place to prosecute people for crimes. Case in point - Swissman David The law is being followed to the letter in his case. The Thai doctor that was the victim of the alleged assault refused to accept a payoff, as is her prerogative, and as it is the prerogative of the victim in this case.
  4. Interesting. What is the going rate to slap your wife about? 🤔
  5. Both Singapore and Malaysia no longer require stamps. Fully automated entry and exit through e-gates in both countries.
  6. I just used the e-gates to exit this morning on a UK passport. 😂
  7. How to differentiate the mentally ill from the clinically insane, as this man obviously is? Most Thais I know exhibit symptoms of mental illness.
  8. There is no higher power than the backers of who he is in conflict with. Hope that clarifies.
  9. Just because they call it Grand Prix doesn't mean it has any relation to formula, which means open wheel racing. There is no formula racing of any kind at Bang Saen as far as I am aware, it is only modded production cars and pick-ups.
  10. Laem Chabang is full of dodgy businesses. The one I used to work for was illegally majority owned by a criminal foreigner, and was under investigation by the DSI in Bangkok.
  11. It's like when you ask a child what they want for dinner. Outwith cannabis water drinks in the 7/11 and other gimmicks, 99% is recreational.
  12. Normal for anything that the Thais do in my experience.
  13. Who he is in conflict with has far more power than his backers have. See @bamnutsak post earlier in the thread.
  14. “To die hating them, that was freedom.” ― George Orwell, 1984
  15. It is a clever way to ensure the money is spent where they want it to be spent. As with every scheme in Thailand, where the money will end up and who it benefits is always the most important consideration. Cannot have too much of the handouts going on utility bills or essentials.
  16. I would be surprised if it is that high tbh.
  17. It's glorious, isn't it? Once a basket case, always a basket case.
  18. Most Thais will do a runner. Fleeing the scene of a road traffic accident is a national pastime.
  19. All he has to do is make it to a country that recognises human rights and claim asylum. Jumping over the border to other third World countries will not save him.
  20. He was given permission from a higher authority for that debacle.
  21. He'll have to be under constant protection and surveillance in a British jail. Someone will get to him eventually. Totally different scenario in a Thai prison, where he won't face the same aggression and hostility for his offences, and where he can more easily buy privileges from the officers and inmates.
