I would too agree to get a fine if everybody in Thailand was wearing a helmet, and had a driverslicense... Not because you are not Thai you get fined but we leave the Thai to do as they want...Start to solve the problems with your own people first before sticking to the laws with only foreigners as victims

So you claim work till you die or retire and do nothing.. Everything you name sounds nice but it is not...Try to play bridge..or even try to get or bring friends or family to the airport. last week you read what will happen. Even working in the garden or cleaning is not allowed as it is a protected job and the views are being disturbed by boing boing boing music from miles away... Siting on the beach or in coffeeshop after 14.00 you can't buy a beer or something till 17.00. No nothing is allowed in fact so tell me why should people come to THailand to retire

S Korea, Japan, Dubai are countries that have problems with overstaying and illegal working Thais... but in Thailand they pretend that only foreigners are the ones who do this...Maybe see the beam in your eyes before complaining about the mote in the foreigners

They have clue.. They see all foreigners as tourists for a few weeks to spend their money here and leave. Long term expats and retirees are allowed here to sit at their home travel around the country and drink coffee, and the latest pay tax.. But they are not allowed to do even some volunteer work which on a retiring visa is impossible because you can't get a workpermit for free work on it. So sit at home watch TV and go drink coffee and sometimes travel around ... That is retirement in Thailand and they are wondering why there are no people coming. You need a work permit for everything that a Thai can't do, so no jobs left for long term expats

It shows the conservative education. Students are brainwashed and will give the answers they want to hear..That is the easiest way to do. Other answer are seen as a matter of national security and make you fail. Even for us adults it is impossible to respond on several topics on the list above here. Discussion means that things are being thought over and maybe changes could make things better, but with a conservative education we see that MFP is now going to court for fake reasons to be disbanned, as the dinosaurs explained to the people their opinion, instead of what really was wanted..So brainwashed answers and no problems

That is what I wrote it is a lifestyle...But in Thailand they pray like it is a God and they offer things to the image...That is more religion like. And if Thais would understand they would have more respects for life, they would not like to gossip, and they should show more respect to others.... but instead they pray for lottery numbers and other things.. And the Government who dares to speak about Buddhism is even given a bad example as we have seen with the last elections...and still chasing their opponents instead of thinking about cooperation and forgiveness....No I am sure Thais don't understand maybe a few but most not

It is true that news is full of bad farangs, but there are so many good ones but there is no news about... By highlighting the bad ones it seems that every farang is bad..but how many Thais are doing the same or worse?? But look at the news.. If you want to come on the news you have to murder, fight, get an accident, or whatever.. Never good news only the bad things are being highlighted. Besides that Thailand is a very conservative country with outdated rules and laws and it looks nice but living with it is something else, as Thailand always be in favor of Thais and always against non Thais. Sadly but very true

The best thing that happened till now... The current Government is more busy with the Thaksin family than making the country better.. Nothing is achieved so far although the promises were hopeful, but in fact we could know it already as the old Government dinosaurs are still in power as they were in previous years but only with Pheu Thai now in an office

I know Buddhism is a way of life, but here in Thailand it is a religion..I see people praying at Buddha images sometimes more than other religious people, but I am wondering if Thai people know it is a way of living....

Thai Buddhism is not the real Buddhism...It is a mixture of all kind of religions. That is probably why monks act different than real Buddism monks.

Friends are coming to Thailand on a holiday and I informed them already to stay away from Phuket and Pattaya. It are not the places to be in Thailand
