Thai people all have an eardamage already because of the loud music on parties, cars, temples, concerts, and all kind of other activities.. They have to scream to eachother. Here in my neighbourhood there is a family too with a daughter that only can scream when talking, we can hear word by word what they are talking about... Probably same in this case.. Young people don't care about others, parents who never tell them to lower their voice and when somebody makes comments, they get angry as they think that they are not allowed to have fun, with this kind of results.. It is no wonder, but again no enforcement of laws and lack of capable police.. The police will only say .. they have the right to have a party or make fun..but nobody shows up with decibelmeters or come to tell them to lower the noise...Because in the wild west of Thailand you could be killed, shot, or assaulted , and the richer or higher ranked they are in the society the more they think is allowed.

Instead if 500 THB fine it will be now 750 THB fine and you can drive on after payment... Only 1 week every year all other days don't matter.. And read the articles today on Aseannow.. All accidents and that is not because the drivers felt responsible for their actions..and speeding is another problem if you watch the pictures and see how the cars look after the accident

With no parental guidance, with no enforcement of any law by the policemen, with no severe punishment by the judges, all the mai pen rai feeling, and the keeping face policy, and no change to fail for anything in Thailand, I am not surprised that these things are happening .. It will be more and more and more.. just like to ride on a motorcycle without an helmet , 3 or more on motorcycle, wielding knifes or guns, and parents do whatever they like to put underaged uneducated drivers on motorcycles or cars without a license...

What is exactly reckless driving in Thailand??? I read many times " prosecuted for reckless driving" but when I drive in my car on the roads I see a lot of people reckless driving in my opinion... Motorcycles on the right lanes or in the middle of the road speeding with no helmets, cars driving at the wrong side of the road, Overloaded trucks on the right lanes to block traffic, which makes people pass on the left, and many more examples.... or is it just as the policeman in charge find it is reckless to write a fine?? A good lawyer in that case would cancel that fine than.

Random??? IN my country if there is a checkpoint you are obliged to blow....Not looking if you have paid your tax and drive on but everybody... young, old, local, foreigner.... and there is a drivers license check... Nothing random and 24 hour a day

So what?? Even with 80 nobody drives that they all speed much more and nothing is happening...Think it will be different now?? Start with the trucks and overloaded cars to fine as they use the middle and right lanes. They will obstruct more

Thank you xenophobic person... better should show respect to others instead of shouting go home.. If all foreigners should leave there is not much left of Thailand.. Look at the factories that are leaving already and tourism is going down.. The Government is begging.......and trying to attrack more .... but people like you keep them away

I don't have problems with the law.. There are too many outdated laws for a country that pretends to be a modern country..the laws here are all fexible.. look at the date when you can do a same sex marriage.. Nobody knows yet if it will be the 22nd or the 23rd of January.. They make laws but don't enforce them, or don't know when they start.. And lwas should be for everybody the same and not for foreigners different than the own population

In my country the police will come in the middle of the night to get their money for the fines if you don't pay.... In my country the fines are for everybody the same, no matter from which country you are and in my country people are not so xenophobic as here, only when it about the money out of tourism Thailand promotes their country but as soon as you are in you will be scammed

It is not the group that is affected.. It is that people here never know what or when a law is working in fact... Nothing clear. And for the Same Sex couples it is a disgrace that a group is being ignored like this

And wondering why less tourists come to Thailand with people who comments like this

Silly Thai laws.... a ticket is an official document.....destroying it will be punished......How low can you go

This Government indeed needs a leader.. Nobody in the whole country knows when the Same Sex Marriage will be possible it seems. Is it the 22nd of January or the 23rd?? Apparently a judge has do a verdict .... whil it is so simple 120 days after publication... But even this is for the Government to difficult to announce... and so many couples, Amphurs etc are waiting for the date.... A true Government makes a law and gives a date, no judge needed...

Signs are only signs... , sometimes they appear suddenly at roadworks, nothing before, sometimes only in Thai ,sometimes incorrect about km distances, sometimes nothing a foreigner can read and nobody who can help them because almost nobody talks any English...This is Thailand and its tourism... The most signs for roads are ok as the picture shows,

My parents had brains, maybe these have money but no brains I don't no which is worse.. I am wondering what would happen if their boy died.... A big funeral, but all their money could not compensate that loss.... Although I am wondering if parents in Thailand know what love their children means

16 year old and driving a Mercedes... I think I miss something, but I have a normal brain... In my country my parents bought me a second hand car when I passed for my drivers license, because it is common to learn to drive first when you are passed. Small mistakes but damages on the car is normal... Here apparently somebody with a high position can drive as a 16 year old a Mercedes.... Not even a drivers license needed and no parental guidance...Happily nobody injured of even death.... but who cares about that in Thailand a wai, a few thousand baht and live goes on

In The Netherlands the police is even coming at night to wake you up to pay the fines...

No wonder there are so may accidents... Thai laws are worthless... Don't pay fines and nothing will happen. Just continue living and in this case even worse the culprit get compensation for not paying fines and go to court ... a bonus and reward. And in the meantime again a blame for the RTP as they don't do their work properly... In my country if you don't pay your fine and at a checkpoint they see it that you have to pay you can pay first before you can drive on... and if don't pay within the normal period you get extra fines. NO court will agree with you if you can't pay your tax if you have fines to pay.. They will fine you even more with all extra costs for your account as it is your duty to pay in time...But this is Thailand the country with laws that are not enforced a RTP that is not working, and have no clue of laws and too lazy to lift their asses.. and a court that is not independent. Unless you are a foreigner..........than everything works very well and they will empty your wallet

Schoolbus or cattle truck?? There is no safety in this kind of schoolbusses and kids are being exposed to danger, by truck and driver

In 1 week they can't change the driving behavior of the uneducated drivers and incompetent RTP who don't know what and how to fine or punish them... The RTP is too busy on their cellphones and mostly check your tax payment, instead of alcohol check , blacksmoke, licenseplates, lights, or overloaded cars... Besides it should be done 365 days a year instead of only at the holiday season

It is the same as last year, and the years before..... It is the same old song... and the results will be the same...

If I read the headline I am wondering what is worse the accident, the injured or the damaged streetlights... I suppose it will be the last
