  1. Bought an EV here in Thailand. Honestly it's doing my head in. First week we drove out to Pattaya, and we charged in the hotel - downloaded an app, topped up by QR code, no issue and charged it. Albeit it's still a rip off as you can get the remaining balance back. Now back in Bangkok. Our condo has a horrific app you need to download. This app requires a degree in nuclear physics to operate it. It has levels to it which are not explained. Then the creme da la creme of beaurachy - it requires you to sumbit your tax details. Now i have never heard this before in all my years of fuelling up, even in the UK parents EV cars never had to file any tax information. They claim this is to send you reciepts ?!?!!!? So we were like F this, we going to need more time to research and information before we just sumbit our information. Go to a superfast charger in a mall. This time another app. My god this app required a degree in astrology to get around it. We gave up and somehow on 2% got back to our condo. Utterly bat sheeet insane it is. Not one universal app. Each app designed in such a junky way that will know is very special to Thailand. But my point on asking for your tax reference number is slightly murky. Anyone got information on this ?
  2. It's the Benidorm British lot i can't stand. They are the worst. Followed by the cheap British party tourists who come for a rave and fight, walk around without tshirts and 'av it. Followed by the racist old British men in Pattaya.
  3. Disney share price is pretty where it was July 2022 . and has hovererd around the same price since then. Slight fluctuations and falls are normal. People were going crazy saying Tesla had collapsed last month, but then it quickly rose. If you follow closely you get these up and down troughs all the time. Whilst Disney isn't as high as it was during it's peak years in 2021, it's about the normal price it has been for a decade, and certainly far higher than it's lower years.
  4. I don't like Trump. But on this i agree. We've seen it in the UK ... the vast swathes of the country have had their industries taken away, that were providing jobs, and exported to Vietnam and Bangladesh for cheap labour. I believe it does make mass bulk ordering of clothes cheaper, but the main profiteers are the owners whose profit margins go massive. If you can get industries back your own country, and reduce the tax rate burdon of them then it's a positive outlook. For example get clothing manufacturing back to the UK. Reduce all business rates for anyone opening a factory, reduce the tax burdon for these companies. THen all you have for companies is the wages essentially. No tarrifs and you get a local market. The cost of shipping products over from Vietnam can be closer.
  5. Is the Indian gang bang thing strictly budgetry reasons? Kind of like the European Union - get many countries together to increase your buying power and get a cheaper rate?
  6. Say no to Chinese casinos. Once they open the box to allow this, there will be loads. It wrecked cities in Cambodia
  7. This has been there for years. You don't have to use it, plenty of other toilets around. This is just a little gimmick / laugh.
  8. Mollecules eh .... i'm trying to contain my excitement
  9. Need to go back to old visa system for some nationalities. No more 10 men in one room. The visa system ensured there was a hotel booking in persons name.
  10. They'll make a movie about it in 30 years time. For now, Thailand can't do anything .
  11. TikTok is vile with British influencers - absolute cess pit.
  12. Take a deep dive. Pay up. And get some companionship. It will be your first step. DOn't be a cheapo.
  13. Does anyone know if they use asbestos in the painting, plastering, tiling?
  14. It's not low season. Thailand is packed with tourists. Most of these are cheap tourists, who spend nothing - thanks to the policies this current lot have set out.
  15. Thousands dying in Myanmar .... complete destruction in that zone. Thailand meanwhile is looking at a loss of tourism - that won't even happen. Absolute cretins.
  16. This is the dude that has basically allowed shop lifting in California. Also since when has the 'other side' been accepting of opposing views?
  17. I've seen up close how UK councils work ... gravy train galore there if you work your way up, you are quids in. The way contracts are handed out are a joke. In saying that i've also seen parents like these .... there is most likely more to the story than the sensationalist headline.
  18. Pattaya was packed out like never before. Alot of Bangkokians must have driven out.
  19. Why are Chinese involved in the construction of the condo ?
  20. There are customers. There are 40 million tourists. Just cheap ones.
  21. They are importanting mass cheap tourists - who would rather eat a 7.11 cheese toast than dine in a restaurant. Service charge and VAT fees bill padding is not a great look i'll be honest.
  22. solution is to have more polluting flights, and more tourists to eco damage everything. Welcome to Thailand logic.
  23. You open the papers .... all you ever hear from adminstrators is 'we have to do this to booost tourism'. It's literally every little thing - BOOST TOURISM. 40 million visitors, crumbling infrustructure, awful behaviour all round - and they just seek boosts. How much more boosting can they do ?! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOST
