Many Brits i meet who live in Thailand, are on some sort of benefits from the generous UK, more so after Covid. Absolute parasites. Then they pontificate on muslims.. Awful.

Thai Ranger Calls Out Italian Tourists for Damaging Coral Reefs
DonniePeverley replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Go to Patong Phuket for the same experience. -
Arrested for overstaying visa? What sort of work was she doing? Judging by her videos, there is probably one a few things she has any talent for. If she is claiming benefits she should be reporting back every few months. She's got plenty of kids apparently. At first i thought she was trolling, being outrageous - but this is something else. I doubt any of her story, even the suffering in jail tale - the gofundme setup always raises suspicion.

Thailand used to be such a beautiful, serene place. WHat's happened over the past few years? Oh wait they opened the borders and let them stay for a time. -
Thai Ranger Calls Out Italian Tourists for Damaging Coral Reefs

Have you ever been to Benidorm? Quite literally the worst place on earth. Thailand has some areas that are fast resembling it. Just British council estate chavs, no attempt to get into local culture, walking around without tops, excessive alcohol and drugs, and the evening ended with mass violence. Just ghastly. -

Is it the few thousand immigrants that come on a boat? LOL Behave mate. Those people are not the reason the country is struggling. -

You seem quite traumatized by this subject. Has something happened to you in the past ? -
And so the exodus of quality expats begins. This time it's personal
DonniePeverley replied to Galong's topic in Phuket
Short term gain. You go to Phuket, enjoy it. Move there, buy property. Then they destroy the thing that made people move there by over building, by sanitising it, gridlocked public infrustructure like roads - and the people who bought the property regret it. Eventually you see a slow exodus. Happens all the time. You need strong government to look after the long term future of a precious area that brings in vital tourism stream. -

So you didn't get married. Problem solved. Western men can also do the same back in the UK if they are worried by assets. -
India have decided to not give Thailand reciprocal visa free entry. I am just curious as to why Thailand choses to give visa free access to India .. something very few other countries allow, due to the extreme low GDP per person that exisits in India (much lower than Thailand), behavioural issues, penchant to remain in the country for a long period (see Malaysia who cancelled visa protocals for Indians), there seems to be no binding bilateral ties between the two countries (for example as is it is with China). The old system of allowing 14 days visa, that you could secure on arrival, the key was YOU HAD TO SHOW FUNDS, AND A BOOKING OF A HOTEL IN YOUR NAME. What i am seeing on the ground is that you are getting masses of very cheap indians, doing barbaric things like 10 people sharing a room (yes i have seen this), extreme hardcore budgets. There is the issue of them praying of vulnerable Thai women in a way that is not rite. If you go around any red lights areas, they pray in packs and try to get huge discounts on a whole group. Morally it's upsetting to see a vulnerable lady having to endure that. Of course there's arguments that all forms of prostitution is bad, but seeing a lady taking up cheap offers to go with 5 or 7 men is really horrific to see. And this does happen. Now granted, there will be affluent Indians who won't behave this way, and they would have come the old fashioned ways anyways. One positive of Indian tourists, is that whilst they drag the repuation of towns down (see Pattaya) and the cheapness, and awful behaviour - on a whole they are not violent people. Compared to the Benidorm Brits and Russians they seem completely aware they are cheap and horny. They don't engage in violence or racism. Benidorm Brits take the mantle for outright racism, refusing to adapt to new cultures, and violence. The free for all demand to get tourists numbers up is barbaric. No other country behaves this way. It's wrecked Thailand.

Oddly enough walking around Pattaya a few weeks back, i would have been the one expecting payment for some of the middle aged porky bar staff standing around the bars. Thailand suffer a beauty drain quite literally, as their beauties head to foreign climates. Not just physically, but met a few lasses in a bar yesterday. Just to have that crack and joke, an intellectual conversation about politics, sport even. It's refreshing. You can't ever get into a deep veined conversation with most Thai ladies. You miss that crack. -

1) No need to marry. 2) You clearly haven't had a long term relationship with a Thai lady. Firstly if you marry a Thai lady and divorce she can still take your assets just like any other country, and vice versa for you i suppose. Those demands from Thai women far exceed anything a British women would expect. Here in Thailand you will be expected to take care of her bloody family in most cases, or at least send donations. I was in a relationship for about 6 months, and i was being pressured to pay for her brothers wedding ! Forget that. -

Air quality is interpreted in different ways. So in general you have readings that take measurements of a city on some high up weather station to give different parts of a city a report. The issue in Thailand on the ground level is vehicle pollution. Even on days of low level city wide pollution you can still be infested with high pollution walking around the pavements inhaling vehicle emissions. This is never taken into account on a city wide pollution barometer. Thailand, especially Bangkok is horrific with vehicle pollution. You don't get that in London. Debate all you want about Ulez zones, but the air is cleaner, less cars around. Less emissions around. The cold crisper air is a delight. The heat and humidity in Bangkok keeps the emissions swirrling around ground level. -

Variety is the spice of life. I like Thai women, but they become very similar in their look and body shape. So much variety in the UK ... shape, size, looks, hair colour etc Love being back. -
High Airfares in Thailand Set to Stay as Demand Stays High
DonniePeverley replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
If you are travelling to the UK, no amount of saving is going to make me fly to China from Thailand, and then have a long stayover, and then add extra hours to a flight that is already insanely long. No saving is worth that. -

Air fare prices are crazy. Paying double now from the UK pre pandemic. Would have thought it might have kept the Bendiorm Brits away, but they somehow managed to make it here too. -
Any Jewish people in Thailand noticing local hostilities?
DonniePeverley replied to wasabi's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
We noticed in Pai the locals were sick of them. But nothing done so it's being tolerated. -
There's a British lass on Instagram doing the same thing. She was even highlighted by a prominent journalist on twitter to not do it as she. Cost was extorniate. Her response was same arrogant, entitled response you would expect. Loads of mainly British and Russians are doing illegal tours. Most of them straight aout adveritsintg on social media.
