British man dies in failed parachute jump from Pattaya condo
Hamus Yaigh replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
If you see the video of it brave doesn't come into it. Both cameraman and jumper come across as clowns. If you do the math of this, the building is only about 100m high, so about half the minimum height for a parachute to open on time. Thoughts and prayers to the unfortunate witnesses on the ground who would have been needlessly traumatized by the acts of the reckless. -
Gender/identity is important if funerals are being done. If you look up and study context, pass the exam on it and come back here, it will make you a better person, and save us some bandwidth. A win win all around I say.

What is the point of selecting a single office in Pattaya for your argument other than characterizing yourself? -

How on earth can one get that impression from a news item that has no mention of getting new injections? Isn't it more a preconceived built in reaction of the self obsessed individualists who perceive their own personal rights being tested as others die, whilst at same time suffering vaccine fatigue and social media misinformation? -
Why the thanks. Its just another opinionated anti China Youtube channel, not worth the time of day.

New Thai Tax On Remittances??
Hamus Yaigh replied to giogio's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
The guy said he has no income. Generally, transferring cash from one savings account to another, even if those accounts are in different countries, is not considered income for tax purposes. -
The word Tesla as a lead word in the headline and the implication can be particularly problematic for car manufacturers, as it can create negative associations between their brand and unsafe driving practices, even if their vehicles are not actually at fault. For this reason, journalists and editors may choose to avoid including the make of a car in headlines about accidents, unless the make of the car is directly relevant to the story or the cause of the accident.

Our condo has key cards that operate gates so we can enter to building at higher floor levels to lift access either on foot or car. We don't have to walk through the lobby.

The walk of shame? I wouldn't worry about it, if you've already made your bed in Pattaya.

Guys, some of you must have missed the thread title - two pages of no answers at all. He wants a new laptop, not tips of installing RAM, SSDs on ancient CPUs or Linux on aging CPUs. He can buy a new laptop cheap as chips these days. FWIW I was running Linux on a 10 year old Intel CPU laptop, and whilst it works, it cannot surf the net, YouTube or do graphics as well as the chips are too old. Get a new PC and no it does not need to be a Mac.

Does our illustrious news reporter not consider it relevant to say where the heck these airports will be located? -

Investing offshore

Do you actually have a bank account outside Thailand that isn't Wise or similar? In either case you can open an international account at any online broker overseas using usual KYC documents as mentioned in a matter of hours/days. Fund it with your bank and return profits to any bank as needed. Its easier if the bank is outside Thailand also, but a Thai bank that does international transfers out/in should work also. -
Iran says it helped broker release of Thais held in Gaza
Hamus Yaigh replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Despite the fact that Iran is Shia and Hamas is Sunni, Iran has been a major backer of Hamas, providing financial and military support. Iran sees Hamas as a proxy force in the struggle against Israel, which it views as a major threat to its own interests in the region. Iran also sees Hamas as a way to counter the influence of Sunni Arab states like Saudi Arabia and Egypt, which have historically been aligned with the West and opposed to Iran's ambitions. It's a complicated relationship, to be sure, but the fact is that Iran has been a key supporter of Hamas since its early days. -
