  1. It depends if they mean soda water, or soda as in a sugary fizzy drink such as Coke, which will certainly contribute to dehydration.
  2. There's plenty of money in the UK. It's just in all the wrong places. And that's a direct result of "what he is [and isn't] doing". "I fail to see what Labour could do other than make things worse." Well luckily for all of us, you'll have the opportunity to find out after the next election how they can improve things.
  3. It's an extremely quiet, some may even argue silent, way.
  4. If you know the voltage it requires and the size of the barrel jack you can probably find a usb-c adapter that will work with any* modern usb charger that supports the Power Delivery (PD) protocol.
  5. Who in their right mind would be in favour of legislation that makes it harder to leave the country and spend time in foreign country in exchange for no tangible benefits...?
  6. Most exciting thing I've done in Thailand? There's a lot. It's difficult to pick one out in particular. I bought some beer between the hours of 2 and 5pm once...
  7. It's not just that you don't need to supply evidence of flight bookings, you can't provide evidence; there's nowhere on the application to provide such a document. The UK is not quite yet downgraded to developing nation status, and I guess the department responsible for setting the rules are well aware that many flights can be cancelled, refunded or altered, and therefore a flight booking is not particularly useful evidence.
  8. We can fly that cheap because of the other subsidising our fares by flying business and first class ????
  9. I think some people have problems imagining any situation that doesn't specifically apply to them.
  10. I'm not going to search around for bargain flights because I'm not in the market for one. But here's the first search I did for a flight between Bangkok and Malaysia with a price of just over 2000bt. So a 1000bt tax is still a nearly 50% increase which is still significant.
  11. The OP seems to think he'll be able to find his existing power supply. As for why bother, perhaps the OP has something on there he'd like to retrieve? Or maybe he doesn't remember what's on there and is curious??
  12. An extra 1000bt could almost double the price of certain flights so, yes, I'd say it's significant.
  13. I was going to say the same thing. If that's not a severe mistranslation then I hope the police are keeping a very close eye on the person who said that.
  14. I believe the OP is planning to leave on the final day of his current extension. In which case I'm pretty sure he doesn't need to cancel. Can anybody clarify?
  15. Is it one of those magic eye pictures that you have to squint really hard to see?
  16. Is everyone else seeing a different picture than I am? ????
  17. Did I somehow read a different OP than you did...? [Edit] Nevermind. I see the title of the thread talks about "controversy". It's odd that there's nothing in the OP itself about the apparent controversy, though.

  19. I said it's your first clue. I didn't suggest it was the entire solution.
  20. If they worked, there would be...
  21. Count the bars in your local town. Now count the bars in just a single Soi in Pattaya. That's your first clue.
