    re-entry

If he doesn't have a long history of visa-exempt entries he should be fine. He will probably need to show a flight ticket leaving Thailand within 30 days of his next entry (12th May) in order to be able to board his flight.
  4. No I don`t. That was the whole point. If you keep reading what you wrote and my reply, you might just figure it out; its not all that difficult...
  5. Not to mention the ever so tiny detail that you need to be over 50 to qualify for a retirement extension!
  6. Which party? The stalker? Or the victim (who quietly posted the issue on social media)?
  7. Considering the OP doesn't seem to understand the purpose of a deposit, how do we know that any hard-sell really took place? For all we know, the agent just said something like "I have other people viewing this property so I can't guarantee it will still be available [tomorrow/next week/next month/whenever] without a deposit".
  8. It's just marketing speak isn't it? You must have seen the same bowlspit all over the internet? $99 dollars is "the price" for a full year. Pay $99 and then get an extra 18 months "free".
  9. Yes. Following scam twitter links is doing things the wrong way! You've identified several red flags in your OP. Knowing all the evidence you have presented us, you really shouldn't even need to ask if this is a scam.
  10. Removable batteries are all but dead in the smartphone world. You may find some quirky chinaphone somewhere that has one but even if it isn't infested with spyware/adware, you'll have to make so many compromises on specs and features as to make the whole idea a no-go.
  11. Either that, or it just didn't happen at all. Like most ghost stories there's a surprising low number of witnesses to the supposed event...
  12. Until now I've been a bit of a sceptic when it comes to paranormal activity. But when you're presented evidence as compelling as this one really has no choice but to reassess one's beliefs...
  13. My understanding is the reason citizens of some countries get a 90 day stamp is because those countries have a reciprocal agreement, and Thai nationals also get 90 days when visiting them. I could be wrong, of course. So, as always, if anyone can confirm or refute I'm happy to stand corrected.
  14. 45 day visa exempt. I'm not being pedantic, it's a very important distinguishment in the context of your question. For visa exempt there's a limit of 2 by land per calendar year. There's no hard limit by air, but IOs can get picky if they don't like your entry history; it's always a gamble going in visa exempt if you've had more than a couple in a row. For entering with a visa, obtained either at a consulate or online if applicable to your country, there is no limit. It can start to get difficult obtaining said visas after a while, though.
  15. How did you subscribe? If it was via the Android app you can cancel your subscription via the Play Store.
  16. Check the batteries on your sarcasm detector.
  17. No! Because if you manage to even get one, you'll then re-enter on the non-O extension that you're trying to alleviate yourself of; it'll render the entire trip pointless!
  18. While offering double the price is a bit of a drastic first measure, if you love that table in particular why not at least ask the landlord if he'll sell and at what price? If he's willing to sell then it seems an awful lot easier than any if the other options! (and if he won't sell, he may at least be able to tell you where he got it...)
  19. @Pib Thank you for clarifying. My original advice to the OP still stands then; get the hell out of Thailand right now before anything has the chance to go wrong, come back in with a tourist visa or visa exempt - then worry about the long-term options after that.
  20. If he leaves the country before immigration catch up with him, will this still apply? If so he's screwed already. If not, then he needs to leave the country as soon as possible and come back in either on a tourist visa or visa exempt. All this talk about elite visas is very nice but it means nothing if he gets caught out by this overstay. The absolute most important thing right now is to re-enter the country on some form, any form, of legitimate temporary stay (if possible; somebody else please advise). Only once that is done should he start worrying about the longer term.
  21. The 3-day scheme is for Thais entering Laos without a passport. They need to obtain border pass at a government office in Nong Kai before entering Laos. It's not really relevant for your situation, but worth clarifying. Unfortunately I don't know what the situation is for a Thai entering with a Thai passport, which would be much more helpful for you. I remember going with my girlfriend (at the time) a few years back, and I don't think she needed any kind of visa, but I could easily be mistaken.
  22. The usual reason people on this forum need a VPN is to circumvent geo-location restrictions when attempting to access particular media streaming services.
