  1. who will now hand out drug laundered bananas to potential cobra MP's at times at censure? This very time it was the PM itself in his cabinet at the parliament house. But that can't go on forever. Thammanat can admit publicly that he, indeed, hands out bananas at each censure debate. But for the PM constantly doing it sounds a little inappropriate. Investigation into this accusation is still ongoing and nobody knows yet what factual material was gathered. Might be the case, that somebody recorded conversation with an offer and walked out from it
  2. he was conspiring together with prawit. their plot was discovered and swiftly torpedoed with 5mln bananas at the office of the very PM, as alleged by an opposition MP and yet to be investigated by the house speaker. It least 10 MP's, that includes some 5 from the future forward, turned cobras (bite back at their parties)
  3. those over 4.5mln donated by the other countries vaccines were given to support also healthy democratic society, including foreigners. So people can freely go on the streets and protest, if they wish so. They were not donated in support of authoritarian rule by the government
  4. but somehow this case is not being used. The guy had some allergy, those patients are exclude from vax programs. Same as some the other groups (children, pregnant, over certain age, contraindicated underlying conditions). When I go for any vax at travel clini, there is always doctor's interview with careful notes being taken down for medical history. Once happen to me a younger doctor left an interview room and consulted her superior. After coming back she offered me a different vax. There is always declaration of consent to be signed and always sitting for 30 minutes under observation. I have witnessed one patient feeling unwell just a minute after a jab and promptly wisked back in the treatment room. Looks like medicine made some progress since the above case over 100 years ago.
  5. he was released from prison yesterday. Charges against him were dropped by junta, looks like him a tool against opposition and will try to stir again religious hatred, to divert attention from human rights issues of burmese population at large. He turned himself in in November 2020, after being on the run from May 2019. https://www.khaosodenglish.com/news/international/2021/09/08/firebrand-myanmar-monk-wirathu-released-from-prison/
  6. so the government is dishing out bank holidays in just less then 3 weeks before that day. What does it tell how well organised are they? How far in the future they do plan running the country? Looks, like calendars are rewritten on the spot, just to please certain coterie. Where would it end? What's the point of holidays in the middle of 4rd wave and in the middle of the rainy season?
  7. In bangkok not possible without booking and unknown waiting time. Go to pattaya - bangkok hospital pattaya. Just a few days after registration you got booking. They had pfizer and that's how I have grabbed it (I travelled from bkk). You can even try walk in in the morning, they might give you a booking for afternoon (some forum member succeeded). After that you can get some holidays on the beach to get some iodine
  8. yes, new york, bangkok, the other world metropolis can be compared in density to city-states as singapore, monaco, makao. Villagers live in detached houses (traditionally in raw of houses, but still large and private), they walk to their field behind the village and spend all day cultivating plants, with food taken from home. They might not encounter anybody there for the whole day. Density in 22 mln Dhaka is 20x higher that Bangladeshi average. But there are also the other multi million cities. Remote countryside might be just a few hundred per sq km. It's large, but tens times less, than cities. Bangladesh is still agricultural country, as oppose to industrialised countries with large cities and highly mobile population (even those travelling hundreds km per day to and from work)
  9. yes, this research is the largest, yet. I think the main purpose was to educate villagers on mask wearing. But that's one is of thousands tests around the world since pandemic has starter. And many more research was done for over a hundred years, since masks were already used during spanish flu. Also Bangladesh was not affected much by covid, deaths per million are only slightly larger, than in Thailand. The world average is 4x higher, with Peru 40x higher. Rural communities in Bangladesh is a poor representative of what communities are affected the most. It's large cities, like new york, bangkok, with very high density. People commuting to work, schools by public transport, eating out, shopping, social events. Living in multistory tower blocks. And those very same people travelling large distances to the other provinces, abroad and doing intercontinental travel. The danger is not a local hotspot, which won't spread and will fizzle out over time, but mutations crossing borders. As to masks, now, since delta came to thailand, many people started to wear more than one mask. I do wear 2. Probably yet another one would also help. I am not a fan of surgical masks, they are too flimsy, don't fit to nose, move around even when not talking. But they are the cheapest.
  10. contact spanish consulate and ask, which visa you should chose. There is vax for all over 40 at bangkok hospital pattaya. They use to have pfizer, but still do the AZ and sinovac. They had 4 programs to chose from. Need to register, within a few days there is a booking. They don't ask about visa status
  11. if the passing by drivers would just ignore those 58 year old antics, she would go to her own car in no time. Exhibitionists thrive on attention of spectators. I would also think she was coming back home from the last night party, probably under influence, hence traffic accident. I don't think that at 7am on Sunday there are many cars on the road.
  12. in the world there are now 8 approved vax, 13 in an early limited use, and 130 at earlier, but large stages of testing. Sometimes they would have to approve validity of those vax for international travel purpose. Otherwise you will need many different, which impractical/impossible to get. Travel to your own country doesn't require vax, but often quarantine (which is really a bummer, in region of $2-3k and 10-14 days). https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/science/coronavirus-vaccine-tracker.html#jnj
  13. yes, they can visit you. Mother has to have at least 1 astra. but 2 sinovac. Because youngsters are not mass vaccinated yet, she can take a child. Child needs test.
  14. In cold countries bitches come at certain times depending on weather season. In Thailand those seasons are not that pronounced, so I would think they come to heat regularly every few months. I think I would exclude rising puppies during season, because likelihood of getting wet, catching pneumonia, bronchitis. Would getting puppies born at the end of the rainy season have health benefits? I am thinking of getting minimum 3 months old poodle/mix rase puppies. Recommendations of breeders welcome. The other option would be getting already young adults, but the risk is poor habits, lack of training from the early childhood. I have had puppies born in June and they have struggled. Those born in January were fine Now I got a young 7 month adult, which is impossible to train, because he spend all life locked in farm cage, without contact with people.
  15. probably qr code. but I would always have a hard copy back up. Also application, which I can show data, than relying on somebody scanning qr.
  16. if his major economic idea is to open country to tourists, there might be surprise, if they don't come in expected numbers. The truth is, that large parts of country is still dark red zone, partial lockdowns, curfew. That is because he failed to order vaccines in 2020. So markets, many factories, large construction sites, shopping malls, leisure industry had to be shut. The chance is export of agricultural products because of falling baht.
  17. if she doesn't reply do search on googlemaps for the nearest ones. Check their opinions, ratings, social media posts, their websites and fanpages. new places are being opened of which she doesn't know. you can also ask on sub-forum eastern thailand. Also subforum animals and plants. There is also a chance, that you will find fellow forum member, willing to help with boarding at their place. Might work out cheaper, than professional boarding. There are people running small rescue centres, they might help through their network, to make income for their projects. You can be generous with them, as they are dog lovers
  18. get it corrected at the hospital you got vaxed,
  19. the next year, when there would probably be enough doses for adults, they would do minors. So far they haven't said a word. In the USA they are already doing it for sometimes. The UK wanted to do it from September, I don't know of progress. You should go into illegal action, as less than half adults are vaxed until now. She will be singled out, all involved will face consequences
  20. so restaurants are now opened for several days, and right now there is an idea of vaccinating working there. If they got sinovac, it's fast process, but not great effect. If they are lucky enough to AZ it's up to 12 weeks. So full protection they will have sometimes at the beginning 2022.
  21. just keep chairs at proper distance. As to buffets, there should be cordoned so clients will form a line and respect distance. Because they are value for many, they tend to be crowded. But much less waitresses needed, they are serving only drinks in bottles, but don't handle plates and walk with them between many other tables and passing people. Problem with katha, that punters might dig with their own spoons. But that exactly can be a problem, when food is served in traditional manner - large plates, bowls from each for their own plate with rise
  22. valid since the beginning of pandemic, and longer before. I wear 2 masks - hospital one, which is too flimsy, and on top of it a large, well fitted valved one (even with carbon during winter pollution or busy streets)
  23. I did write that I put 2 masks. Because those surgical masks are not tight, I put a valved one, because it fits better. They allow me to enter hospital with such. So even more so airline will. Since pandemic I grew facia hair, which doesn't help to keep mask in place. I also bought 2 types of carbon masks for use in high pollution - both with valves. For bikers and builders. I am pretty sure they will also be allowed to wear over another non-valved mask.
  24. Thailand is the most dependent of tourism in the asean, and around 5th in the world. and with small chance for reopening this year because of vax shambles, things will worsen. the next year will be just levelling up. Many businesses will have to renovated or even rebuild after some 2 years of neglect. That will eat most of income.
  25. but the PM said yesterday October is not happening. Earlier on, shortly after he proposed this idea in June, he backtracked and said, that it's only a guideline, not to be taken literally. Shortly after the 4th wave unfolded. With poor vaccination program I think that idea of sandboxes might work, and that only on islands, enclosed spaces. Allowing tourists to roam 12mln capital city is a risky step. Authorities have said earlier mamy times, that because of importance of bangkok tourists won't be allowed
