  1. there are 4 separate and non-cooperating commissions - swedish, danish, german and russian. Only russians made conclusion. That even without access to blast site. Poland and ukrainian still blame russia. They made this statement shortly after blasts, without any investigation or giving any proof. Radek Sikorski, former polish minister of foreign affairs and minister of defence, tweeted just after blasts: "Thank you, USA", with a picture of sea above the pipe. He is a polish hawk, married to the equally howkish american journalist. Hardcore on russia, short of provoking russia into balistic nukes in west ukraine. He is polish nationalist, rusofob, he served in afghanistan with mujahedeens back in the 1980ties against russia there. The usa want's to send their own divers, as soon as they are allowed by the local authorities. Swedish and Danish police are patrolling those waters and not allowing anybody within zone. There might be some debris on seashores, but nobody claims anything. There should be an international commission under UN, rather than partisan run shows. Russia, the UK (as implicated by russia), ukraine, poland, germany, denmark and sweden should be invited. Problem with war sabotage, as is the case, is that they can classified for long, some 25 years. In case of diplomatic involvement (Truss case), it might be longer or never. Chelsea Manning, assange are behind bars, snowden was forced to run. There won't be more american whistle blowers for decade. So what is heard now from sweden might be everything we will ever know from them. They have already warned about it earlier. They might share with the usa, because they need their expertise. But they don't want co-operation from germany. this winter will be crucial for survival of many european governments, partially thanks to nord stream
  2. date of your article is 27.01, but Biden threat was made after that vote, on 7th February. So Biden was uncertain of future for nord stream and made plans then. That way europe, and especially germany, was betrayed by the USA and is forced now to buy american controlled overpriced fuels. On the day war has started, Biden made another statement on nord stream. It's clear those pipes have strategic importance to the usa. "Since Russia began deploying troops to the Ukrainian border, the United States has worked closely with our Allies and partners to deliver a strong, unified response. As I said when I met with Chancellor Scholz earlier this month, Germany has been a leader in that effort, and we have closely coordinated our efforts to stop the Nord Stream 2 pipeline if Russia further invaded Ukraine. Yesterday, after further close consultations between our two governments, Germany announced that it would halt certification of the pipeline. Today, I have directed my administration to impose sanctions on Nord Stream 2 AG and its corporate officers. These steps are another piece of our initial tranche of sanctions in response to Russia’s actions in Ukraine. As I have made clear, we will not hesitate to take further steps if Russia continues to escalate." https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2022/02/23/statement-by-president-biden-on-nord-stream-2/
  3. based on trump clear statement that he will shut nord stream by whatever means, by daily mail revelations about Truss hacked phone and incriminating her in conspiring in clandestine operations I do think that russia had enough data to pin it on the UK. Russia, as well as Germany, should be allowed to enter blast zone with or after swedes. Even if it's now, some 2 months after the blast. Their own initial investigation is already finished. That would increase chance of transparency by swedish investigators. That is important for this investigation to be internationally monitored, as germany and russia were the main losers, not sweden itself. Why not set up an international commission? Many governments won't trust Sweden, as they have recently applied for NATO membership. They are part in a military conflict, not neutral as before the war. Even more so disgruntled population of countries directly affected by winter freeze. Just exactly as ukrainian army was allowed to enter missile blast in poland, to conduct their own investigation to contradict findings of polish investigators. Do you see double standards here? I did no believe war would happen, I have based my trust on zelensky multiple public statements - there would be no war. I have believed he was going to follow minsk 2 agreement thus preventing conflict. That he had back channels to russia as well as intelligence reports. That is exactly what the majority ukrainian citizens were thinking - there would be no war. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/08/18/zelensky-ukraine-wapo-interview-warn-of-war/
  4. That is clear threat to existence of nord stream. "there will be no longer Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it…I promise you we will be able to do that." That is not declaration from german chancellor to close those pipes. Temporarily or permanently. As Sweden stated they are not going to disclose their details (as discussed above already), now similarly russia is not that obliged to disclose details of their investigation. Russia called british embassador about those blasts. So it is not trivial for them, they claim they have solid proof, and they done so after over a month investigation. They did not do so in haste, on impuls - as Polish foreign ministry calling russian ambassador for a night time visit just hours after missile blast a few days ago. Those articles point to UK connection. Liz Truss personal phone was hacked by russia. That lasted for all summer. She changed her phone just 1 day before becoming the PM. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11368619/Liz-Trusss-personal-phone-hacked-Putins-spies-secret-details-negotiations.html also some details here https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11377157/Russia-claims-Britain-ordinated-Nord-Stream-explosions.html
  5. prayuth did hugging greeting with hun sen just a few days ago. I would not be surprised if Prayuth is also positive, just hiding his infection. And Xi suspects Prayuth for it. according to thai foreign ministry spokesman hun sen was hospitalised in Bali, so he had some symptoms which needed medical care. He is 70 yo and probably fragile. Hun sen was also seating next to Biden for an extended time during a dance show. I would like to know Biden's health, as he is 79 yo
  6. yesterday sweden confirmed sabotage after finding traces of explosives. Having those traces they will have chance to figure out where that explosive was made. https://english.almanar.com.lb/1732733 Russia was barred from the scene to collect traces or participate in an investigation in any other way, but conducted their own monthly investigation and blame the UK. Brits deny. Still, there is Biden statement from 7th February, yet before war started: "Nord Stream 2 pipeline from Russia to Germany will not go forward if Russia invades Ukraine…then there will be no longer Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it…I promise you we will be able to do that."
  7. just a week ago the PM praised the producer for world's first anti-covid spray and thus helping to launch their commercial campaign. He endorsed all those claims from an advert. It's available online and some few selected shops, but not in pharmacies yet. It's not much different from camilosan mouth spray, german made herbal remedy for throat and nasal infection, which is sold in every thai pharmacy for a fraction of price of that novelty. Cetylpyridinium chloride in form of cepacol original, which might work for covid, is not available in thailand from the beginning of this year. I have asked pharmacists why it's not sold anymore, but they didn't have a sensible answer. That is very strange development, as this medicine is still available worldwide
  8. that spray was never tested on humans, just in vitro in laboratory tests. It's not known, if they are going to do animal and human trials at all. The prime minister was conned into supporting commercial campaign, without checking with FDA if manufacturer claims are true.
  9. you quote 2015 article as a reply to yesterday's mearshimer's interview. as I said, that guy were advising the ukrainian government not to turn nukes to russia. He travelled there multiple times and talked to top political leaders. They have not listened to him. I have just finished reading this full interview and mearsheimer does believe, that russia has chance of using nukes on kiev without possibility of nuke retaliation from nato. There might be nukes from russia, if they are losing in conventional armament field and don't want to lose more soldiers in hand to hand battles. "If you fast forward to the Ukraine situation, assuming that the Ukrainians are rolling up the Russian forces inside Ukraine and they’re pushing the Russian forces out of Ukraine, it’s easy to imagine the Russians using nuclear weapons in Ukraine because they would not have to fear nuclear retaliation. Ukraine has no nuclear weapon, and the United States is certainly not going to use nuclear weapons if the Russians only use them in Ukraine."
  10. yesterday's interview with prof john mearsheimer on putin. https://www.newyorker.com/news/q-and-a/john-mearsheimer-on-putins-ambitions-after-nine-months-of-war john is very voiced on ukraine and advised ukrainian government to keep nuclear weapons (before they decided to hand them out to russia) and his lectures on ukraine and american international policy towards ukraine, russia and eastern europe for some 15 years are easily accessible on youtube and printed publications. His article from August from a reputable magazine "Playing With Fire in Ukraine, The Underappreciated Risks of Catastrophic Escalation" Free text after registration https://www.foreignaffairs.com/ukraine/playing-fire-ukraine or without registration https://www.foreignaffairs.com/ukraine/playing-fire-ukraine?check_logged_in=1&utm_medium=promo_email&utm_source=lo_flows&utm_campaign=registered_user_welcome&utm_term=email_1&utm_content=20221011
  11. so prayuth will use defector from the democrat party, which is barely surviving at the general elections for over 20 years. surely there would be fierce opposition to hi work by the Democrats themselves, not making easy for prayuth to form an election block (not competing in with each other) and later parliamentary and governmental coalition
  12. "Labour minister Suphatanapong Phanmeechao." he is energy minister, not labour. And deputy prime minister, not deputy of labour minister. I have never heard of him, probably so is embassy. On wednesday vietnamese president was greeted by prayuth himself and by the foreign minister Don. Yesterday prayuth was greeting Xi. Looks, like she is late to be treated this way or came in very ungodly hours of night
  13. Was is deliberate action or an accident, mistake? What was prove of deliberate murder? it's below "collateral damage" which calculates chances of killing civilians. How many soldiers were prosecuted for that crime in many other military conflicts? was somehow this sentence influenced by dutch participation in the ongoing war as a nato member?
  14. at thonburi 2 hospital in bangkok they had special offer for 15k. I am waiting for colo and gastro combo under full narcosis for 18.5k - the governmental hospital, 3 months waiting list. Probably you don't have that much time. In you place I will visit doctor, do all check ups, blood in stool, possibly parasites. If you need gastro because of strong symptoms, probably you can jump line at the governmental hospital
  15. I m deeply confused: that article from just before songran https://bangkokherald.com/coronavirus/pfizer-covid-19-antiviral-finally-arrives-in-thailand/ that one just after songran "BMA hospitals will use Paxlovid to treat Covid-19 patients" https://www.nationthailand.com/in-focus/40014766 but for me it's mai pen rai. I have my colchicine, ivermectine, disulfiram at hand. They are extremely cheap and readily available in each pharmacy.
  16. nato had it's airplanes in the border area and see live what happened, they were fully aware it's ukrainian s-300 ground-air missile. Their radars can well see into ukrainian territory. So fully aware were poland and ukraine. There was no space for "probably" or "most likely". I understand Stoltenberg is a chef of a military alliance and has it's bias, but he clearly defies already established facts. It was deliberete spin on ukrainian side to escalate and involve nato by article 5. what is puzzling for me is quote from the linked article: "Ukraine itself continues to say that Russia actually fired the missile. "I have no doubt that this is not our missile," President Volodymyr Zelensky said in televised remarks. "I believe that this was a Russian missile, based on our military reports." That is plainly misinformation, war propaganda. They are part in this conflict and intentionally deny their involvement in this accident and that would implicate them in many previous such other accidents within their borders. I do watch scott ritter's independent point of view on situation and find them convincing information and commentary on what happen. Certainly, he is not involved in this conflict, as stoltenberg, zelensky or nationalistic politicians from poland and baltic states.
  17. yes, chinese were 10mln, not 10%. My mistake. I am aware of, just typing on smartphone on my morning walk. I don't know what scale zero dollr tourism was, was certainly was a problem and thailand was trying to rectify it. Malaysians are cross border trade, they don't visit tourist attractions, resorts, spa, national parks. They might stay weekend or just one full day trip across land border. So their spending on services is limited, to compare to some 2 weeks of holiday tourists or medical tourists doing costly treatments
  18. According to @Sherylpaxlovid is not available in thailand anymore. There were only 50k courses of it around April, so long gone within weeks. There were too costly, at 10k per patient. Dr yon peddling porkies state propaganda once again how well thailand is prepared. Why state media are compelled to regurgitate his facebook posts so often?
  19. In march thailand have bought 2mln paxlovid, that is only 50k courses, for 500mln bht. They are long gone, within a few weeks. I think they were not buying more. Cost of 10k per patient was probably prohibitive. Earlier on thailand was refused formula to make it themselves. The gpo has licence for some other covid antiviral. All prescription. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/thailand-signs-deal-with-pfizer-to-supply-2-million-anti-viral-paxlovid-tablets/
  20. Foreign tourism use to be 12% of gdp, with domestic 6%. the present volume is only 1/4th of pre-covid, when in 2019 reached almost 40mln, including highly profitable 2.7mln medical tourists. the second issue is that tourists don't stay as long as before and spend less then before. there won't be chinese tourism anytime soon, they were alone 10%, albeit partly on zero dollar tours. China is still in lockdown, still 5 days quarantine at hotel plus 3 days at home, and the pcr test on return to country. the leading foreigners are malaysians, but they are not classical tourists, mostly weekend shopping trips and rather to the South of country. On a good side, thais travelling abroad for holidays are rare post-pandemic. So they stay as domectic. Still, i think they don"t make total of 6% pre-covid
  21. siriraj hospital some 4500b (that includes 25% surcharge for foreigners). I would save half money for follow up check ups. If over 45 yo and healthy I would go only for colonoscopy (at private hospitals special offers from 15k, at the governmental cheaper, but a few month waiting list - colonoscopy and gastroscopy 18.5k)
  22. have you read article you quoted: "But at one point in history, Putin’s Russia wanted to join NATO. “Russia is part of European culture. And I cannot imagine my own country in isolation from Europe and what we often call the civilised world. So it is hard for me to visualise NATO as an enemy,” said Putin, the country’s acting president in 2000, three weeks before the election, which made him president. At the time, Putin’s words were interpreted as extending an olive branch to the West. Since then, Putin has been in power, rising to the occasion and becoming the sole decision-maker of the country. The same year, according to the then-NATO chief George Robertson, Putin blantly asked “When are you going to invite us to join Nato?” Robertson advised the Russian president that he needs to “apply to join NATO” and not expect an invitation. ... Some experts believe it could have been real if the West had taken Russia’s membership prospects seriously back in 2000 or the 1990s when Mikhail Gorbachev, the last Soviet leader, and Russian Federation’s first President Boris Yeltsin also lobbied for Moscow’s entrance to the alliance. "
  23. putin, as a president of 20 republics, each with different national languages, national anthems, and each with their own constitution, is a much different to president biden or president of poland. He can't be a russian nationalist, that would mean serious internal conflict. There are russian ultra-nationalists, for example zirinovski's party. But they are far away from kremlin or local governments. They are in opposition to Putin. It was zirinovski pushing for war with nato. Putin wanted to join nato, but his offer was rejected
  24. putin's father was a cook, morawiecki's father was a nationalist politician. Russia consist of some 20 republics, all different ethnicities, their population is a large part of country. And they all serve in an army now in ukraine. Putin's nationalism is much different to morawiecki's or biden's nationalisms.
  25. to stir the sh.t. ask your the PM morawiecki why he did it. He is a nationalist, check on his father biography, kornel morawiecki. check on polish political elites and their rusofobia. they live in the past. They don't feel part of an european union, push to leave it
