as the same system remains, namely production for profit, and not for use, capitalists will be maximising profits at cost of environment, disregarding pollution and natural degradation they cause. Because of energy crisis more dirty fuels are being used now. Nobody talks about pollution since war started. But what worries me more than greenhouse warming is nuclear winter - that one caused by politicians, generals and heavy industry capitalists doing armaments. That would lower global temperature by 20C and wipe out the majority of population within just a few months. North of globe will perish, some of South will barely survive. Nature's "great adjustment" - as it will be known for future generations. Even the present war is already causing famine across africa. I think urging now about climate change is burring head in sand - present war, which can roll out to III world war, nuclear attacks of all sorts, should be on the UN topic.

at least they should get a working visa (agents probably can do anything) and stay indefinitely and legally. As it's an online casino they can work from home, even coffee shops. Unless they slept at the very same hotel rooms they worked in. That looks like chinese ambassador had discussion with foreign ministry to clamp down - that 500mln bht are flowing out of china.

Multi Parametric? Prostate MRI Scan
internationalism replied to Negita43's topic in Health and Medicine
do multi-parametric and press doctor for any medicines and the least invasive treatments. In some countries, even in europe, doctors don't treat prostate cancer until it starts spreading. That might be too late for successful treatment. I don't know what policy in thailand is, but the poorer country the lest resources health service has, so they postpone treatment. If you feel doctors in the UK and in Thailand are neglecting you, do read about ketokonazole (it is on thai official hormonal cytostatic list), as well as 10 other over the counter medicines (read about drug repurposing in oncology) -
Multi Parametric? Prostate MRI Scan

there is a difference between multi-parametric and an ordinary MRI. Hence different prices. more to read. The are old topics -
club one in Pattaya operated for long, with the same owner and same style of work - peddling drugs. That venue in Sathorn was reasonable new, opened only 4 months ago. Both have survived scrutiny after Mountain B deadly fire. All venues were checked nationwide for their licences and operations. Big Joke, as well as Chuwit (with his brown box dossier) are plain wrong, that those clubs catered for tourists. That is more like a smoke screen peddled by them to divert public opinion from chinese mafia, which is pretty much local and well established, and is working in collusion with police and military at top levels. Why those 2 raids took place now and within days from each other? I would suspect a diplomatic pressure from chinese embassy to frame owners, Chinese nationals, who are known criminals and who were peddling drugs to china itself. I don't think it's because of competitors from thai mafia, as they cater for different clientele

that is strange that all data have to be collected within just w few days, to the end of month. It would be incomplete, as there are many agencies involved with overlapping responsibilities. Interesting to know how they are going to test their own staff and how easy it would be for drug users not to be scrutinised or submit false samples. So I think it's just a PR exercise in wake of a mass murder a month ago. Started with police force and now extending to civil servants. They will try to prove how clean and immaculate they are

I have thought there is no tourism from china. Those in attendance came in local high end cars, they were not bussed in in groups. So they are local chinese or long term expats, on work contracts. Also they were served by some 40 strong personel from - thai and foreign, but no chinese were mentioned in press releases. I would not trust chuwit. More likely grabbing headlines. Maybe will be running for MP. As to big joke - he has an elephant ticket. That means he is corrupted to the core. He is very much part of police mafia. Look, how fast he progressed in police ranks. Without an elephant ticket he would be nowhere

Married Extension without bank book
internationalism replied to dayo202's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
if bank book fails, do sawannaket consulate without financial proof. Your wife doesn't have to be present there, you submit all her documents. That's 4k fee, in comparison to 1.9k at immigration -
Recommendations For Home Insurance
internationalism replied to KhaoYai's topic in Insurance in Thailand
try https://misterprakan.com/en/home/home-insurance Those robbers would be coming back for the next loot, as they were happy with the first one and they are still at large. Track them down. Pay police to arrest them. They might still have part of your loot if they are not professional or get money from them - promise police some 10% of that money for putting robbers behind bars to the maximum of what is possible. No gate or cctv will stop them, even if they are not professionals but just opportunists, neighbours. I would allow family to stay at house. Or get anybody from friends - build them a smallish house. Even pay for upkeep of garden and property. Pay for upkeep of family of several dogs, a 20kg bag of dry food is from 450b and lasts a month. Feed them in the evening, so they won't be much tempted for poisoned food thrown at them. Make an arrangement with police to watch your house. Install an alarm which will alert you and police by text message -
Is Thailand raising ahead of peers ito higher cost of living
internationalism replied to mjakob007's topic in General Topics
today my makro monthly food shopping (bread, vegetables, salmon) was 1400b. All products were discounted 50%. That would feed family of 4 in large part. No, no pringles, wine, cookies and beef. The rest food, high quality, comes from lazada and is stored for months and years. This month some 10k spend. Old stock still going cheap. -
rather wait for the next wave and for a new generation vaxes

go to the governmental hospital for new tests and for second opinion. Check their price for operation.

long covid is usually with very stron infection. As you don't mention illness, I would be doing further tests for all possible problems, starting with cancer blood markers

Does it sound as an excuse for an individual who run amok at book fair? Much of carelessness for mentally ill patients comes from poverty. Thai made medicines are older generation, with side effects and also not treating properly. Imported once are very expensive, as much as monthly avarage wage. That is beyond means. I have a neighbour who would shout sensless for hours, well into late night. Non of his large family would calm him down or offer some medicine. They all have to go to work and school barely with just few h of sleep.

He is not just eccentris, he is violent and danger to public. the last time in May he punched in face an elderly frmale and knocked her town to floor. He came with 2 yellow shirts as a back up. So it was planned, premeditated. So he and his family and ultra-royalist friends know exactly his capabilities and not trying to constrain him. They might even encourage him with such behaviour. in February he run around Ratchaprasong with matchete. That goes as far as 2006. He is a political extremist

Bangkok announces air pollution curbing measures
internationalism replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
northerly monsoon, which has already started several weeks ago, brings high pressure dry and cold air from china. Cold and dry atmosphere traps small pollutants in the air. Strong winds below stratosphere transport this fine dust over thousands kilometres. Because of energy crisis caused by war in europe send prices of coal 3x, the low grade and unprocessed coal (that with high sulphur) will be back on market not only for commercial use, but for the incoming heating season for homes. Governments are allowing now to use this polluted coal and lowering taxes on them. They will also be burning rubbish - including plastic, rubber. That will also be increasingly happening in Isaan and north of thailand, when temperatures further drop to uncomfortable levels. Only some industries will switch from coal to gas or liquid fuels, but that needs time and large investments for new installations. They will be buying them from russia below Brent market price, but there is limited capacity to transport and store them in China and Thailand. The majority of individual households in china and thailand would not switch, they are on poverty line. That's why this year might be worse than the previous years. The next year they might already switch from coal to gas and oil and possibly war will be over (thus lowering coal prices). I am sorry, I don't have links. That is my understanding from what I read in popular press over years -
Bangkok announces air pollution curbing measures
internationalism replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
in bkk already hoovering around orange/red. that is pollution from china. I would imagine they are increasingly using cheaper coal with higher sulphur content. For that this winter might be worse the the previous. Just wait another month or two, when now flooded provinces will start burning fields and jungle. -
