As of December and this particular bank...yes. She was using the same bank (TMB) for ages, for her pension with no problems Like I said earlier, staff at the bank told me it's a new regulation for TTB. As always, I believe about 10% of what any 'staff' tell me here. She switched bank and a form had to be mailed back to Swiss by snail mail. Thanks for all the answers

Paid a visit to my local TTB just to clarify. Staff told me, this limit only applies to TTB accts As usual, take this with a dumptruck of salt. I remember TMB as always stringent with rules etc I have hoped they would become more 'modern' after the merger with Thanachart

A bit of a crazy story but here it is.. Posted on behalf of a thai/swiss friend...you older sleuths are way better versed in these issues than me. She normally gets her pension in the middle of the month but not this time. Upon inquiring at the bank, (TTB) she was told that the pension climbed over the 50k baht mark and the bank cannot accept transfers over that amount. Is this even a thing? Anybody has more info? Which bank should she be moving to? The story is what she told me and keep in mind that she is 80 and mildly senile...some details might be missing. Thanks for any answers.

I will never take the MRNA 'v' btw...I had Covid already...no big deal. If they 'force' us one way or another I might consider Sinopharm (non-MRNA) ..but most probably I will go and live in a free-er country.

Clarifications.. Tried to cancel the (ill-thought) purchase but it had departed already.. When it reached me I saw it was charged w/ 20% import duty I had already paid German VAT (incl in the price) Ok..the two are not related but my appetite for a fourth guitar was diminishing fast. The 'hillbilly' solution.. Connect a cable to any of the screws on top of the amp and then take it outside to ground it. Buy a copper rod , hammer it to the earth (about 90%) and connect the cable to the top of it.
