  1. I just look at what Google says...........☺️ https://petraveller.com.au/blog/banned-breeds-in-thailand Your own link specifically states that owning those dogs is not illegal, importing them is... "Thailand has a breed-specific ban in place for the import of strong and aggressive dogs to curb dog attacks on the general public and animals. Banned breeds in Thailand are: American Staffordshire Terrier Pit Bull breeds that include American Pit Bull Terrier, American Bully, American Bulldog and Staffordshire Bull Terrier While it is not illegal to own these breeds in Thailand, the import of these breeds is prohibited by law".
  2. As do mine, that doesn't alter the fact that the bastard dog (I have no sympathy for it) was chained up...in the old woman's own house.
  3. "...she failed to ensure the animal in her possession was secure..." She had it chained up.
  4. You believe that BS excuse ????... The proposed new owner confirmed it. Why disbelieve the old girl? "The new owner of the pit bull declined to give an interview, only confirming readiness to care for the dog safely".
  5. Owning them is not illegal, importing them is.
  6. I have an American Pitbull. I haven't been prosecuted in the 10 years, or so, I've had her. That's because they are not illegal. Importing them is not permitted now, though. They are supposed to be chipped and registered at the local district office.
  7. You may want to google 'prostitution' in TH ... IF you actually believe your statement is accurate. 1. If you're going to quote my comment, do not alter it, as you did by bolding part of it, that is against the forum rules. 2. You're the one that needs to do the googling; some specific aspects of prostitution are illegal in Thailand, simply paying someone for sex is not one of them. "Some people shouldn't think out loud ... better for others to just suspect, why confirm it".
  8. Yes, she really should be in serious trouble for allowing her son, the owner of the dog, to die last month and for her making a successful effort at getting it re-homed, something that was to be done the same day as this incident.
  9. Instead of lambasting the elderly woman, with whom the dog had been left and who had apparently made a genuine and successful effort to get it re-homed after the actual owner's death last month, perhaps some empathy is required?
  10. They already think that they know who the killer is, where he went and they have his picture, they don't need Tops CCTV
  11. What next, child sex is legal because of the age of consent ? Some people shouldn't think out loud ... better for others to just suspect, why confirm it. You're the only one making a reference to child sex being legal. I just posted that paying for sex in Thailand is not a crime, which it is not. If you don't approve of accurate comments that's your problem, not mine. To use your words of wisdom, "some people shouldn't think out loud ... better for others to just suspect, why confirm it" [sic].
  12. Because he is not wanted in Tajikistan and there is no warrant for his arrest there, that's why. Piece of cake.
  13. Or probably astronomers. You made an assumption from nothing, so why they can’t be astronomers. How come you couldn't see steven100's glaringly obvious sarcasm?
  14. The suspect hasn't got away with it yet, and no one has been, or is being, deported for kicking a doctor.
  15. Is that something that can be done? I'd certainly have no idea how to track a third party's phone. Why would she call want to the police after he's been out of touch for just a couple of days, when they're both adults, not children? Wouldn't have made any difference, anyway.
  16. That was reported...in the OP that you clearly couldn't be bothered to read.
  17. I doubt it Rex, if he's back in Takjikistan or anywhere near there he's gone for good. Unless extradition is requested. Thailand has had foreigners extradited back here for murder trials in the past.
  18. hmm ... P4P is illegal, so those involved offering and paying for, would be considered criminals "P4P"? That's a reference to sex, yes, or am I misinterpreting that? Paying for sex is not a crime here.
  19. "...asked for their identities to be withheld out of concern for their health". They weren't "concerned about their health", it was obviously meant as a figure of speech meaning that they were worried about their safety if they were seen as co-operating with the police.
  20. Exactly, none of his four able-bodied travelling companions would agree to be his nominated assistant. If it wasn't an (obvious) set up , he needs to get new friends.
