You guys want to argue with yes men? So enough said wasn't 'nuff said.
-
Good. So you won't be posting anymore?

So what? He was talking about 30+ years ago when Donald Trump from Queens wanted to be Manhattan's The Donald.

While some of De Niro's May 28 remarks were maybe over-the-top as a former New Yorker myself during the time this rings true: In his most biting comments, De Niro spoke of Trump through the lens of the largely Democratic city whose voters know Trump well and roundly rejected him at the polls. "We New Yorkers used to tolerate him when he was just another grubby real estate hustler masquerading as a big shot, a two-bit playboy lying his way into the tabloids," he said. "A clown...No one took him seriously. They take him seriously now." https://www.reuters.com/world/us/robert-de-niro-calls-trump-clown-outside-trial-biden-campaign-message-2024-05-28/

True. But to add per Florida expat voter registration, they ask what are your intentions on relocating to Florida? and then they ask for a daytime telephone number in case they have any additional questions -- like what? And I note your topic here which is why I won't be registering absentee: Posted March 23 (edited) This topic inspired by yet another issue with a U.S. financial institution caused by living abroad.

I know nothing about NZ except as best I can tell that's where you are a citizen.

The NY Times as above said Harris Puts Four Sun Belt States Back in Play. Florida isn't one of them. And most all those contacted by the various polls know abortion is on the ballot. As to being against expats voting, I am not against it. I just found that the questions were too intrusive in that voter registration is public record.

He's not even American. Florida might matter. Check the news. Headline in NY Times this morning: Harris Puts Four Sun Belt States Back in Play, Times/Siena Polls Find Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are in close races across Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina, crucial swing states that Mr. Trump had seemed en route to run away with just a few weeks ago. -- but not Florida.

Trump is a young woman? No -- Trump in 2017 had no governing experience.

Can a Friend use my Card in an ATM
jerrymahoney replied to roger101's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I will presume the Author has long solved his issue but just to note: At least at SCB ATM several years ago, it was possible to deposit into an SCB account at the SCB ATM with the account number and no card his or hers -- just the account name to verify. -
Yes I know. The pride of Auckland. However as we've discussed i don't like the provisions that would allow me as a former resident but now non-resident to able to vote in Florida. And I have been following the news. Like here: https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-general/2024/florida/

I don't care 2x. For the first time since 1972, I will not be voting in a US Presidential election -- not that my vote in Florida would mean much. But I guess yours is a reliable vote for Trump.
-
I don't care. Trump had his one shot as President and for me that was enough.

Headline this morning NY Times: Who Is Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Thailand’s New Prime Minister? The political heir to an influential family is now leading Thailand with no governing experience in a tumultuous time. Sounds like Trump 2017

Well if the OP query is to name 5 reasons, other than she is not Trump, for voting for Harris, as someone who lived in NYC late 1970's when Donald Trump from Queens was trying to bluster his way into Manhattan's high society, I will say: Why do you need any other reason?

Why did the Left Socialists support vaccine
jerrymahoney replied to georgegeorgia's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Any idea what the reason is? Because with a common vax like the flu vaccine, nobody goes around saying (or maybe bragging): I didn't get the vaccine and I DIDN'T DIE. -
No clue. Right. One firm states: "... if an expat sends money from overseas to their Thai spouse and it covers their living expenses, it is not considered a gift. Attempting to bypass the tax regulations in this way is likely to be considered tax evasion, potentially resulting in severe penalties." This seems to be what most every potential gifter on here is planning to do.
