  1. 2700 euros now. 2100 euros after taxes. Twice that amount in June and December. https://www.ondacero.es/noticias/economia/esta-pension-minima-maxima-2021_20210909613ad976f7c3140001544a3c.html "El Gobierno establece cada año un importe máximo, tanto mensual como anual, que los pensionistas pueden percibir. En 2021, esta cantidad quedó fijada en 2.707,49 euros al mes y 37.904,86 euros al año, distribuidos en 14 pagas."
  2. Just the opposite for me: health care is "free" in Europe (we pay high monthly taxes to have it) while I need to pay for health insurance here in Thailand. I will probably need to return to Europe when I can't get a health insurance in Thailand. I think there is an age limit to get one.
  3. In Spain we have the option if retiring only 50%: 6 months a year retired and 6 months working. And you get 50% of salary and 50% of pension every month. It's a good option, since you get more money and are not fully retired. More like long holidays every year. My boss already applied for it this year and I will probably do the same next year.
  4. 82.000 bahts in Spain. Net after taxes. I think you can live well in Pattaya with this.
  5. It's a good Rioja Crianza medium price. Got some awards in international wine fairs. In Spain it is distributed by El Corte Inglés. I buy it for only 5'85 € at Mercadona and it is better than some more famous Riojas like Campo Viejo or Marqués de Cáceres at 15+ euros. https://tienda.mercadona.es/product/66320/vino-tinto-do-rioja-coto-crianza-botella
  6. My Thai lady learned really fast about good wines and Spanish cured ham. ????
  7. Patrick's Steakhouse 063 596 3500 https://maps.app.goo.gl/H8cyXQKH93VdD7PYA
  8. Smokin Joe's BBQ 033 122 188 https://maps.app.goo.gl/1tPEne2ies6o6aLJ8
  9. Only in shops. I haven't found a restaurant in Bangkok yet serving alcohol with meals.
  10. You must complete 14 days in sandbox. Either 14 days in Phuket or 7+7 (7 days in Phuket and 7 days in Samui or other sandbox zone). After 14 days in sandbox and 3 negative PCR they will give you certificate of completed sandbox. With that certificate you can fly to Bangkok. I arrived to Bangkok that way 4 days ago. Once in Bangkok you may go anywhere during the day or travelling to Pattaya if you want. Curfew begins at 9 PM.
  11. Lobster promotion at Eurasian Restaurant 065 164 1596 https://maps.app.goo.gl/mbpVEZDS7fr9q4vq9 Lobster about 500 grams per 499 bahts all inclusive (no extra ++).
  12. Nobody knows what's happening next week. Regulations change nearly daily. Sometimes twice a day. Bangkok was opening in October. Now they say in November. Nobody knows when will actually open and which will be regulations then. And nobody will actually know for sure 1 week before.
  13. In Bangkok now no sandbox. Only ASQ hotel quarantine. You must stay in your room 14 days.
  14. 2 jabs don't prevent you to get infected from CoVid-19 and transmitting it. CoVid-19 "vaccine" only protects you from developing decease if you get infected. And not always.
  15. I don't know in October, but I'm flying AirAsia from Phuket to Bangkok tomorrow.
  16. FISH BAR AND RESTAURANT RAWAI 089 873 9967 https://maps.app.goo.gl/19bdS8SHxHqZoqSp6 Seafood restaurant at the seaside. Beautiful views. Fish and seafood at really good prices and high quality. Most guests are Thai. Really good atmosphere, food and service.
  17. On the other hand, cost of taxi to Phuket Town from Patong is 293 bahts using "Hello Phuket" app.
  18. Until yesterday's police raid, Bangla Road's bars were open and serving beer. Last night only one bar remained open. On the other hand, almost all restaurants are serving beer with meals. Swimming pool bar at my hotel is also open and serving alcohol.
  19. Tonight in Bangla Road all bars but one were closed and police post in Beach Road, in front of Bangla Road, was manned. Yesterday this street was alive, with food stalls serving bars customers and girls, street musicians, beggars, lots of tourists walking, flowers sellers, trinkets stalls, exchange offices and even a tourists office selling tickets to the islands. Today everything is closed and nobody in the dark street. When they close bars many businesses also close.
  20. Yes, now you may book SHA+ taxi directly at arriving after finishing swabbing.
  21. Actually I find Pattaya/Jomtien to be cheaper than Bangkok. And indeed better air, next to the beach, more beautiful, many good and cheap restaurants, good malls (even Terminal 21), hospitals, dentists and many things to do. Perhaps Hua Hin can be boring after a couple of weeks and longer bus/train ride to Bangkok and Suvarnabhumi. After travelling most touristic places in Thailand, my bet for best retirement place is Pattaya. And you must realise that many Bangkok residents also choose Pattaya for weekends.
