  1. Darn, it it only weird people on this forum? Tell me what is the difference from being married to a western stay at home mom? It´s not buying a wife. It´s like one person is working to bring in the dough, and another working with home and children. Both are working, and should therefore have salary. Therefore shared economy is good in a marriage. As the economy is shared, all that is bought is coming from both persons work, right. It´s like that in the whole world. What don´t you get? Or are you going the same way with house as you did with your silly book example? Some people rent and others buy. Moronic!
  2. Did you read anything? Where were I buying any wife?
  3. I get really tired of replies like yours, where you did not think at all before posting. Might be that you came to Thailand and never had a relationship before that, or you just don´t get it. Let´s break it down in simple chunks of education. First we deal with the age gap. Surely a gap over 20 years will be a bigger problem than a smaller one. It will also get harder if the younger one just came out of the teenage years. However, that is not a question or problem related to this thread. Just for you to get an understanding, the age gap between me and my wife is 10 years, which is fairly common and nothing that opens any eyes in the western world either. Moving along to the relationship or marriage. What you seem to have experience from, is massage and bargirls, and that is not something you use as a measurement for regular marriages. I am talking about a girlfriend or wife that had or did not have a regular job when starting the relationship. In my case I had met my wife´s older sister at another friends wedding first, and she introduced me to her sister. At that time they both worked in Bangkok in their cousins shop making replacement teeths. They had a salary of 15k baht per month that has now gone up to 18k baht for her sister who is still working and living in Bangkok. The family is from Isaan, and regular farmers. They already had a fairly big house, a lot of land, car and tractor as well as all the tools needed for farming. However, farming 1 time a year does not give much money for a whole year. Neither does working and living in Bangkok with a salary of only 15k baht. However, we make it short. I liked her and she liked me, so we married and there was not even any talk about a dowry, even as she had never been married nor had any children. We both wanted children, and I made enough money for us which led to that she stayed home, taking care of me, the home and later also our two daughters. Now we come to this! Disregarding if it would be a western stay at home wife, or a Thai wife, do they not need any money for their work with home and children. Does not a western wife expect to have spending money in such situation? Do you hear already how stupid and out of reality you reply was? After that, it´s quite normal for me to have economy together when living as husband and wife. Never had a problem with that in Thailand, but there was a bigger problem with that in my first marriage in Sweden. Okay, I do not share all the saving and invested capital with her, as we all need a security in life. However, she is aware of that and accept as well as understand. Of course I have built a house, bought a car and is spoiling her with different occasional gifts. Exactly like it would have been being married to a western woman. Probably less expensive then the western option. Anyway, that is something we do wherever we settle down in life. Sure, you can bring up all about that I can not own my house and bla bla bla. We are quite secure in our relation, but if it should go sideways, she is more than welcome to keep the house. Mostly that would be what happens in a divorce with a western woman when children involved anyway. And, after the children has grown up a little bit, she wanted to work. Then I saw it like a good idea she work for herself like I do. Therefore I invested and opened a shop for her, with savings money coming from our shard economy. So, now she have something to do and are happy with life. Isn´t that what you should do to each other in life? She makes me happy, and in return, I make her happy. So, as a conclusion, I have no idea what you are talking about. Must just be a great lack of experience. And, no! My wife is not very different to other Thai women that are not from the bar and massage scene. I am pretty sure that there are many foreigners on this forum, that can relate to my scenario in parts or as a whole.
  4. I might be highly possible that a few of these guys have been posting about their situation and asking for help or advice. The only problem is when someone does that, they always give minimal information so it´s not possible for us to know what it´s all about.
  5. Eeeeh! If they have had an open and active case from 2017, then we can be pretty sure they have proof.
  6. Yeah, same like the stamp from a serious agent in Pattaya. Remember, the Immigration have been stamping it. How can you say that is illegal? Show me some proof of that.
  7. What to do when it's too hot in Bangkok? Dude, you are living on the 33rd floor. Even Icarus would have said that is way too close to the sun. His son would have tried and burned his wings. My suggestion would be to move to the 1 st floor. 😂
  8. Can I ask you what a fake wife is? I am married to a Thai woman, and she is definitely not fake. Now tell me what you are referring to. Just maybe, you should think before you post.
  9. Really man? How long have you been here? Of course they are corrupted. Do you read the news? Can you see that even the EC are in the same line of business. Police commissioners and PM´s as well as anti corruption agencies have the same problem. You are just in for a cold wake up call, dude.
  10. And the most funny thing, is that you didn´t know it.
  11. It is not any new thread starters. This is just a way for the forum to gain more comments and activity. If everyone could check, they would see that most of the replies are coming from the same IP-addresses. Except for sometimes when they actually remember to use the right VPN. Also, when it comes many crazy posts in one day, there are usually created by 2-3 individuals that have been registered on AN the same day, but backtracked registrations to an earlier date. 🙂
  12. Nope, all the ones who know they have won will leave them in pieces.
  13. We all overreact sometimes. They are quite used to that and usually hold no grudge long time. You know, many people say that you should not take the <deleted>, but sometimes it´s better to just go with it. My advise for you, next time you need something. Like only the extension for one year. It´s 1900 baht. I always leave them 2k, and tell them to buy some donuts, like the US cops like. Just try it. I think they will understand, lighten up and give you a smile.
  14. No, it´s just how it is. We went recently to Pattaya Snow "Frost Magical Ice of Siam". I was prepared to pay the double price, but showed my Thai driver license, and magically the woman in the booth gave me the Thai price. You can imagine my surprise. My chin fell and mouth wide open. 😉
  15. Yes, he mean SSN for American customers want to open an account. Now they apparently also asks for Thai TIN, as most that have a need for a Thai bank account will stay over 180 days per year in Thailand. If you don´t, they will still ask for a TIN. However, the paperwork for Americans open accounts are much bigger than for many other nationalities, including SSN for many years already. Thank your government 😉
  16. My immigration office takes 500 baht for the paper, but why have a problem. Yeah, it´s supposed to be free. However, we chose to live in Thailand, we are aware of the special rules made up and corruption. We stay here because of many reason, where one is that it´s much cheaper than home. Then it´s not such a big deal to pay a little extra sometimes. It´s like taking the good with the bad, where the good is holding the power. Otherwise we would have left.
  17. Because that is what Land & Transport Department tells you to bring for renewal.
  18. Maybe you should read my other posts in this thread, and even you will have better information. If you can understand what you read, that will say. After that, you know it is you that holds the cup of BS.
  19. Why, I had the time of my life doing that in some clubs in Stockholm when younger. Never went to more than socialize with a drink or two. After that hitting the nightlife.
  20. Exactly! We can not give in to such ways of thinking.
  21. Can´t talk svenska on this forum, as it is only English language here.
  22. So, then if I run my own business and are single, all is good, right? 😂
  23. Darn man. Stop it! I am from Sweden, and I have person experience of police raiding establishments in Stockholm.
  24. Hmmm..... Please remind me now. What are you referring to?
  25. No no! MC against BMW driver. Just must understand that ain´t gonna work 😉
