I cannot take the stress of flying, these days. IF airlines would put on special flights for people like me, then I would fly. I like quiet, no children, sartorial uniformity with coats and ties, and even tweed. To me, it's quite disturbing to look over and see fellow passengers in shorts and flip-flops... Even shorts I cannot abide. When I used to fly from boarding school to my home, and back.... Everybody looked decent. Now, they do not. Even when I first flew from LA to Tokyo, in 1971, everybody seemed more civilized. So, bottom line... You gotta raise the cost of flight by a factor of 10. Then, give us beds, and a decent lounge. And, in my view, we need to decrease the total number of passengers per the largest widebody to about 50. And, increase the number of servants onboard. Make flying civilized, once again. Then, many more, just like me, will begin to fly again. I always feel tortured from the moment I enter the air port parking lot, outbound, until the moment I exit the parking lot, after reaching my destination. Why would I subject myself to this? Better for me to just stay where I am... And, enjoy life. Who needs the stress? Who needs the hassle? Who needs the sitting with people I consider to be, roughly, barbarians? They have NO IDEA of what the flying experience once was, nor what it should be. They have no comparative yardstick to help them judge what is not good and what is great.

Dear Folks, Are the Russians now, or can they be considered to be, The LAST of the MOHiCANS, in the fields of classical music production, and appreciation? Why is this? In the WEST, most classical music now being produced is turning to mush. Sort of a mix of pop, classical, and heavy metal, seemingly. I cannot listen to the new stuff coming from Amerika, for example. Take ROSTROPOVICH, for example... There seems to be nobody on the horizon in New York, especially at Julliard, that will be even one-tenth as great and EARTHY, too, as good ole' ROSTRO-P. Can it be that what they say is true? When a culture, meaning the Western Culture, begins to go down the drain...then.... Great Musik is quickly replaced with all that is substandard. You know the music that I am talking about because.... I have posted just too many vids of substandard music in TV.... It's all substandard, in my opinion. I just post it because it's amuzing to listen to.... And, because I feel such nostalgia for the likes of MICK, for sure... But, Mick cannot compare to ROSTRO.... I am thinking that we might save our world if EVERYBODY would discard all substandard POP music, and begin listening to GREAT MUSIC, instead. For sure.... Great Music, if we listen long enough, will change the brain stem, and other parts of the brain. This is no joke, because we can quote many studies which prove this is true. Maybe I will post a few examples. And, where do I get this great music, in the first place? Well...OFF RUSSIAN websites,....OF COURSE... Because, YT is now pretty lousy at offering what we SHOULD BE LISTENING to... And just provides content which will wreck our world, soon or later.... Probably sooner... Do you agree? Speaking of Fresh Air: Long Long Ago, in a Galaxy Far, Far Away, I once enjoyed Fresh Air. But, in recent decades, Gross began to devolve into craziness, maybe even into unbridled, rampant Wokeism. Our lost world and days of stable weather are now a thing of the past. Concerning recent weather extremes, we must just suck it up. But, as for me, I will never again listen to Gross. She ruined her own once-wonderful show with...NONSENSE... Such a shame. She now exists in The Twilight Zone, somewhere between insanity and The Outer Limits. We can Never Go Home Again....clearly. No more fresh air for us, especially in Chiang Mai, during the Smoky Season, obviously. Everything is getting wetter and wetter, just as it also gets drier and drier. Such craziness, and all due to Global Warming, maybe...

My lawn is completely saturated, with major puddles in places. The clay is not porous. We should plant more trees.

No. I am NOT intimidated by smart women. Here is just one example: Take the development of the CRISPR-Cas9 System...which is truly groundbreaking. Note: I prefer male uni instructors for the Natural Sciences. However, I tip my cap to any woman instructor who has her own stash of Japanese Chalk. Note2: After checking further, the Freshman Chem Class available on OpenCourseWare seems to be taught by both male and female instructors. Nobody likes to teach these huge freshman courses. It's an obligation and one of the chores tolerated by the true top-level researchers at MIT, and other great schools. CRISPR has become a very hot topic during recent years. And, the girls who developed this technology are two hot cookies, IMHO. So, bottom line: I am still OK with the MIT online Chem courses offered by MIT. Still, MEN are just better at this, although not ALL men. Final Note: I love those scarves the girls are sporting.... Reminds me of Isodora Duncan, even....

Nobody dislikes Farang. However, one problem seems to be that if there is another Farang walking by, and if that Farang is a complete stranger to you, ... Still, just because they are a Farang, they mistakenly believe the two of you are great buddies, or long lost pals, or chums. They don't get it. They think skin color is important. But, very often it turns out that you and the newly arrived Farang have nothing in common. It is not that I do not have Farang friends. I do. But, they don't live near me. They live in New York, where they belong. Anytime I see a Farang here, I know this Farang is a stranger, just passing through. What should I do? Run out and say to them: Welcome to town. Do you have time to talk about the traffic situation, and the local drivers? There are plenty of people around here, but they seem to be all Thai, with the exception of a pair from Burma. Besides: This Topic is NOT about Farang bashing. The question is..."how long do we sometimes go without seeing a Farang"....Can you tell the difference? You seem to be confusing the question in the Headline of the Topic. .

Sure. Agreed. BUT..... Very few female scientists are awarded the NOBEL, in the natural sciences, just for being black or female..... Give me a Feynman type lecture, any day..... Someday, all this craziness will end..... I will NOT take this woman's course..... I would rather listen to..... Natural Science at the highest level is NOT for women. Don't ask me why, but it just is NOT. It's no secret that very few women can measure up at this highest level. It's like trying to put a square peg in a round hole. Obviously, MIT is now being run by dumb administrators instead of professors. The hens are ruling the roost. There is really no point in being Politically Correct if one also needs to bend the truth.

Dear Folks, Here is a curious Topic, if you will. Yet, this question is one which is mentioned often among YouTubers in Thailand. We often hear YouTubers reporting on Thailand who bemoan the fact that they have not seen another Farang for…blah-blah..days. But, what about you? Do you hold the record on TV, or in the Farang Pub (which, sadly, no longer exists), for the most consecutive days without seeing another Farang? Personally, I think I once went about a year without seeing another Farang, or maybe 14 months. However, my record number of days was not recorded in Thailand. Now that I think about it, I once went for almost two years without seeing another person that looked like me. Only Asians did I see, until one Farang popped up, after about 800 days. So, what about you? What is the greatest amount of time, number of days or years, that you have gone without seeing another Farang? This also brings to mind the great book: The Good Earth Naturally, there have been many accounts of missionaries who have lived and worked in China without seeing another Farang, for years. I do not regard myself as one of those who could exist for decades without proper healthcare provided by a fellow Farang. 45 years ago, doing without seeing a fellow Farang, while in Asia, for many months, was not strange. This was the norm. And, it was not a hardship. For example, there were benefits such as never needing to celebrate the 4th of July, like they do back home in the UK. And, back then, we never celebrated Christmas, either. Do you think you hold the record for the greatest number of days, going without seeing another Farang? What is your record? I recall well my liking for the first episodes of Breaking Bad. I thought this series very well done. However, after a while, it seemed to me that the quality became degraded a bit. Still, a very good show. I would eat prunes EVERY day, if I knew were to buy them. I seldom see prunes advertised on the ads I receive, while posting on TV. Let me know if you find a good source of prunes. I would prefer dried prunes. Or, what about figs? I have no interest in plums. After my battle with hemorrhoids... I stuck in my thumb... Pulled out a plum. This has put me off plums for life.

I know how you feel. I have a neighbor who addicted to ordering from Lazada and other delivery sites. Some days, the neighbor gets up to 20 deliveries between the hours of 9am and 5pm. The strange things is that so many packages go in, every day...but... Nothing comes out....EVER..... Some day, the neighbor's house will burst at the seams. What can they be doing in there, with all those deliveries? And, how can there be room to walk without tripping over packages? I know they are nice people, but when will enough be enough? Addiction afflicts us in all forms. At least, they seem to be excellent consumers.

Strangely enough.... While editing very long MA Theses.... I would often console myself by referring to them as ... MA Feces.... Which, in truth, they mostly were. MA Theses are nothing more than a learning experience for students. Nobody expects much more than dung, in fact. MA Theses should not be graded. And, they become tedious to edit, the more one edits them.

But, maybe, not for long. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing.
