Is a chiropractic adjustment good for you?
KhunLA replied to Rachel2023's topic in Health and Medicine
Really depends on the situation, and all they are doing is realigning everything where it should be. If that would solve you discomfort/problem, then it's good for you. If not out of alignment, then you won't get much of a positive effect. I've had excellent results, both in USA, and Bangkok. Dr Oat is excellent, at Healing Art Center. He may want you to get X-rays of neck & spine before he'll even touches you. -
USA, over 62, and lifetime pass + , is $100 USD. Add the Golden Pass, $10 (lifetime) and get 50% off camping and other amenities. (US citizens) Cruise up North in summer months, and South in winter months. Too easy, too cheap.

Dude, you're letting your ignorance show. And you didn't watch the vids, (especially Buffy's) as Xiaomi is first an foremost, a smartphone company.

It still crosses my mind ... Then I come back to reality Hotels are just too cheap here, or a reasonably priced, decent spec'd electric van would be my next purchase.

Electric Scooter Rentals Surface in Pattaya, Prompting Legal Issues
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
So is bicycle in the wrong hands. Aggressive at tops, 25kph. Surely you're not serious. Next time you're in your noisy, vibrating, smelly exhaust belching diesel truck, do 25kph for that reality check. Does make you wonder how the death rate here is so high, when village speed limits are 30, and most city & towns is 60 kph. SPEED KILLS ... no worries on GOGO though, unless not wearing a helmet and take a bad bounce. -
Drink bottled water. If you live here, find a supplier, RO bottles 18L is 20 baht where we are, not BKK. We get 5 bottles every so often, for drinking & cooking water. Delivered, too easy, too cheap. If don't live here, simply get the 5 or 6 L bottles, cost 30-45, depending who buying from. 7-11 has on the higher end of that price, Makro on the lower end.

Probably less, since they are not very powerful, and top end speed is probably 25-40kph. -
Might want to change the title again to something more accurate.

I guess you could claim a mental disability, and can't work, as too distressing to think about MMCC. Get that disability check every month. -

Makro, CP product, and no, we don't buy meats from the fresh/wet markets. Actually ฿84 is high, as usually ฿73-79. Yes you do, and most everyday items is same or cheaper, for us, as don't buy name brand (international) processed foods. It's a shame you don't, No overpriced labor here How's that RE tax every year, (8% or more) for the house you already paid for ? Our RE Tax is ฿5 How's that sales/VAT tax ... 20% vs TH's 7% Tell me again how inexpensive it is ... "oh but we get free healthcare". YEA, right ... there's no free lunch, you're just paying for it in advance. Really sucks if you don't use it. -
Mate needs advise on moving to Thailand

Have him watch this vid and read this thread, as some good advice on there ... https://aseannow.com/topic/1327585-an-expat-who-left-thailand/ -
Best to leave ASAP, if you know TH is not for you. Still employable, and sticker shock (housing) not too bad on his return. Sure he knows now, should have tested the waters before selling up, as he took a couple big hits on his finances by not doing at least a 1 year tester. What I always advise, 1 yr in different locations also. I got here 2000, and 7 yrs later, and still not sure if staying, and truly didn't decide, until building 2nd house, and that was 2011. Hence the reason for buying POS entry lever cars back then, and easy to walk away from. If not meeting present wife in 2006, may not have stayed. Even after, and selling 1st house (2008), nothing really keeping me here, except relationships. We even rented in PKK for 3 years before building, to make sure it was right for us, even though bought the land a years earlier, before leaving Udon Thani. Make sure the weather & pollution levels were OK, or it would have been further south. Miss the cool season, though short, of the NE, but not the pollution or the boredom. Not big deal then, as housing in USA, IF returned, doubtful, hadn't changed much. But the last 5 - 8 years, just silly price increases, and really unaffordable for young people starting out.

What is the difference between 95 and 97 petrol?
KhunLA replied to Conan The Barbarian's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
From experience, for E85 users, good luck finding that at PTT, as we used with our last ICEV, until prices started equalizing with 91, and no advantage. E85 was very hard to find at PTT, and usually only at the newer larger PTT Park stations. EV charging is easier to find now, and that's not an exaggeration -

Hopefully they won't need it, and it was well thought out, and researched, with a nice bank account to start off with. -
@FlorC To add to the Muhendis' post above, they all have their own version of user friendly (hopefully) interface to control things. Not knowing the others, ours seens pretty user friendly. Touch screen and buttons selection on the inverter, and you can chose settings. Use priority, and when and where the solar power or grid power goes. Since wanting to be 'off grid', ours is set to use: 1st ... Solar 2nd ... ESS /battery 3rd ... Grid If battery <35%, then grid kicks in, which will never happen Unless 3 days of total crap weather. Then we can choose if wanting more longevity out of batteries, a TOU (time of use) for the grid to kick in at anytime, by hours of the day, or simply when needed. Same with export and % of what goes where & when. We don't export at all. Only thing that is connected directly to the grid, is the EV (car) wall charger, since it puts out 7.4kWh. We rarely use that, and most charging is done with the granny/emergency charging cable that also came with the car. Plugs into any outlet, and puts out 2.3kWh. Use that when excess is available, and at least every other day, as don't let the car below 80% that often. Deye doesn't have an app, that I know of, or use. But there is a compatible app, 'Solarman Smart' that is wifi compatible, and will monitor the use, and record what is going on in real time and stores use history, and statistics (day, month, year, total), and most anything needed. Can not change inverter settings via that app. Even when away from house in other provinces, can monitor the inverter.

Be nice if they were available to buy on the cheap, once they shut down. Folks out in the villages could use. Wouldn't mind having one myself to toy with, chop shop into something something different. -
Like visiting, and usually something going on, but couldn't live in any city, and I'm not neighbor friendly. Nor care for the smells, exhaust, sewers, trash. Pass on the roaming rats, and stepping over the roaches at night.

That sucks ... nice boomers though, for us fireworks fans. Need to unlock your BYD Fire thread Why do I have this image of all the EV Haters jumping & cheering as if their team has just won the 'World Cup'

I have to plead total ignorance when it comes to most thing electrical, why use of the installer. Here's specs for our inverter & panels: SUNTECH SOLAR 540 WP Deye 8kW Inverter

What is the difference between 95 and 97 petrol?
KhunLA replied to Conan The Barbarian's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
I used to manage a couple Amoco filling stations back in USA, and 3 grades of petrol; cheap, better & premium, maybe 89/93/102 (?) All 3 cost about the same, wholesale. Low cost, huge volume sales ... cheap sold a couple cents more than cost (1-2% (?) ... better, just wee bit more than cheap ... premium cost about 20% mark up over cost, and total ridiculous pricing. Was surprised how little mark up on petrol, but huge volume sales every day. Premium pushed heaving in advertising, 'the BEST' for your car, even though test show, most cars only need the cheap grade. People bought a lot of premium You hear it enough times, you start to believe it. Unless driving a very high performance car, 99.9% don't, then you're wasting money. -
