  1. Agree @rocketboy painting has got to be one of, if not the easier things to do. especially if not cracked or peeling. No rec as not located in Patts.
  2. To the title ... don't consciously have or want. Hate schedules and never make definite plans. Saying that, when home, I enjoy my daily coffee/reading 'routine', and know I'll be walking the dog between 10-12am at the park when home. The rest of my day, life is open for suggestions.
  3. Or ... realizing they/MG offer 4 of the best BEV options in TH, at thrifty price point, with decent EV production track record. Along with their own established CS network ????
  4. Now you can have a 'mid life' crisis. Was one of my thoughts when hitting 50, almost 19 yrs ago. Thinking that was never going to happen when younger, so why not shoot of 100. Just keep moving forward, new hobby, new sights, new things to do, perfecting & enjoying what you already know & do. Too much time on your hands, start cooking at home. That new hobby, eat healthier, cheaper, and might even make it to 100. For comic relief, read the daily doom & gloom news, and the sad sots on AN complaining everyday, about everything, realizing that they are miserable and that they are still alive.
  5. Definitely happier with more, than less, and simply provides more options ... ... so yes it does. Do I/we need more money to be happy ... ... No I've been just as happy with no extra money in my pocket, as I have been with more than enough. Never been materialistic.
  6. Providing good service to their customers ... ... a smart winning game plan, and would expect no less from a successful company from CH Making a wee bit of profit for themselves, while not price gouging for their Super Charger service, but exclusive to MG members ... win win Why we support them as much as possible, besides being too convenient, and welcoming when visiting. Comfy place to relax, free coffee & snacks while using their WIFI. 1st choice when needing a CS The horror of EV ownership, how do we cope ????
  7. Bon Cafe coffee is a good start, easy to find, and not silly priced. Test out some different blends or straight Arabica beans. Light, medium, dark roast. Then move on if not stratified. What was your helpful suggestion ... ... oh wait, you didn't have one ????
  8. LazMall is verified vendors LAZ themselves will make sure any stated warranty/replace guarantees are enforced. Usually no questions asked. Usually priced a wee bit more, but worth the piece of mind, claims will be honored. Other listed vendors, may fight and returns/claim you submit. You notice the designation on the LAX listing: You also want to buy from authorized/'flagshop' stores on LAZ. That red Thai script after ASUS, reads 'flagship' Don't be misled by listing that might say something like 'ASUSonline' as it may not be ASUS themselves or a reseller.
  9. @NoshowJones Already stated, buy from producer site, or linked authorized reseller. Know your product & specs, and if they make computer or assemble computers. They should have & honor 'worldwide' warranties, and should be at least 1, or 2 yrs. ASUS fan, and they usually have 2 yr warranty, as our present & past units (4) have. All still work 14 yrs on, though upgraded with each new purchase. Latest just over 2 yrs old/July. Saying that, ASUS (TH), doesn't get the best reviews for their Krung Thep service center. And my latest unit had an issue, still under warranty. Suspected it wasn't ASUS, and passed on sending in/dropping it off to them. It went out of warranty, and a few windows & google chrome updates, and it sorted itself out. I checked everything possible to diagnose the problem, eliminating all related to the ASUS unit itself. My diagnosis was correct, and simply a conflict with Win10 and or Chrome. They finally sorted it out within their update. Didn't start, until 1.5 yrs after purchase, so thought right, it was one of their updates. So know what you are buying, and source from authorized seller. Most major issues, will show up almost immediately with electronics (my experience anyway), and they'll fix or replace.
  10. Finally pimped out our ZS, getting rid of that 'Brit' stigma of poor reliability in auto manufacturing. May need to open in another tab & enlarge to appreciate, below left brake/turning signal:
  11. A work in progress, 2 gone. Maybe a couple more election cycles, and the rest will be sorted or simply die.
  12. A little overkill on the heart check up, unless having some symptoms, chest pains/unexplained being winded at time. Especially if BP, ECG/EKG (same thing), and oxygen level (95%) are all normal.
  13. More than a few inaccurate statements in that op-ed. Those that follow the EV or CS threads, probably already know how to find: ... PlugShare site .. Charge Loem app ... CS (AN thread) ... vendor apps, some listed in OP Are a few to locate & pay attention to details of CS, if buying EV. Some inaccurate statements I noted: ... 'all' MG dealers have chargers, most do, but not all have 'Super (fast) Chargers' ... most hotels have ... NO, not even close, and if so, slow chargers are the norm.
  14. Agree, and had when buying Toyotas, and was good coverage. @Sandboxer When buying our Mazda, since already having insurance to carry over (not Toyota's), passed on the 'free' insurance offered, which of course lowered the sale price ฿15k. No free lunches.
  15. No recommendation as not in Patts. But make sure it includes a full abdominal ultrasound. Will be more useful than cancer markers. Since no recent check up. The cancer markers, unless off the chart #s, aren't too useful, as more a comparison, year after year, to see if any changes, I think. Especially for cancer patients already. Heart check up, up to you, but ECG/EKG will usually point out any issues. Unless you feel winded, and out of breath quite often for no reason. How fast you recover, pulse/BP after 5 ish minutes of exercise (pulse @ 50% above normal), and breathing will tell you a lot. I monitor my BP & blood oxygen at home. Omron BP units are accurate & inexpensive. You can get a Yuwell oxymeter at some pharmacies. I have one, all of 700 baht, and tells you pulse & oxy level, which should be 95% +/-, higher better. 90% or less, and you'll need further testing. Many docs/clinics use the same units I have. Never hurts to get coloscopy at your age, as colon & prostate cancer (hence ultrasound) are issues for men as we age. I had one done couple years ago (I'm 68), with a couple polyps removed. I did have to lie to get that done, stating blood in stools and cancer in family. Latter wasn't a stretch, but some docs don't schedule things without symptoms.
  16. Overcast last night, maybe tonight, shy of full. Although, I see a full 'moon' every night, and looks much better.
  17. Conclusion: Same as growing your own fruits & veggies at home, one should smoke homegrown Ganga ????
  18. I'll quote myself and simply highlight the 3 parts that should point out I certainly wasn't upset about her advisory. "Waitress, instead of thinking, 'ding dong farang, can't park there' informed me, odd days, you need to park on other side of street. Thank You"
  19. Bon Cafe, consistent, readily available. I like their 'Morning Blend', with added plus, being it's their least expensive.
  20. Reading comprehension ... ????
  21. The water thing does work, though I question the use of, unless the 'burr' grinding wheels, are stainless steel, and guess, most are not. Saying that @Hummin again, if buying, the bottom square container, where grounds are deposited, will vibrate out from under it, so I put something against that/handle when grinding, to avoid it clogging up, or making a mess, depending how far it slide off.
  22. Still going strong after 2 years: If you happen to buy that, don't use the little plastic thing that goes in the bean holder, as it lessens the weight of the beans, and it tends to clog up. Stopped using it, and it rarely clogs up. If it does, you'll hear the grinders spinning but not grinding, I just use a chop stick, give it a stir near the bottom till it starts grinding again. Rare, but happens.
  23. That's a lot of exercise, as used one recently at hotel.
  24. Saw that at HP, and have 'similiar', obviously (no) branded differently, along with price, and probably quality, as I had to take apart the 'dial' and set permanently, to a fine grind. Which is fine, and the grind we use anyway, for the price difference. Seeing the HP display shortly after buying. LAZ listing: sitting on our counter
