  1. I'm surprised what they call a SUV now of days. See they even have different classes of. I thought the MG ZS was a bit small to class as a SUV, as in my mind, it's something more the lines of a Fortuner. Hard to believe they class anything smaller than the ZS as a SUV. Love that it's short, for parking & tall for my back, entering & exiting. But there's a lot of headroom, unless much taller than myself, is dead space. Not complaining, as nice and spacey feeling inside, just an observation. As I stated elsewhere, difference in ZS & EP is minimal, taller vs longer, but rest of the specs identical. One is an SUV, other a station wagon, depending on market.
  2. 81mg seems to be the standard here. Don't know about water soluble. Crushed and sitting in water long enough, and guess any would be.
  3. Same same here. Think we have six 2k L tanks, and strictly for drinking rain water once passed through 2 stage counter top filter. Far less PPM than filtered tap water, and damn near free ???? vs bottled from Makro. On topic ... same as solar or EV, a larger initial investment, that will pay for itself for decades.
  4. Where's the one for 'pets' and is it air conditioned ? EV parking ... hmm, you just now noticed it. Great marketing ploy, and some vendors even offer 'free' charging. Assuming there is a CS, and hopefully people are actually using, and not just parking to be closer. No different from the reserved parking slots for the 'car wash'.
  5. As long as you don't live there during 6 months of smog season. That's got to knock a few years off life expectancy. The silent slow killer you don't see ... ... actually you can see.
  6. Be nice if those asking stated a budget. Now only about 5, BEVs, maybe < 1 mill baht. MG ... 3 ,,, ZS, EP, MG4 GWM ... 1 ... Ora Good Cat Neta ... 1 ? Probably a couple more, I'm not familiar with. There's also POCCO & Wuling, but pricey for the low specs.
  7. So I'm assuming you don't live in TH, or have a EV here, or you would realize there is an abundant amount of CSs now, and few EVs on the road that utilize them, with exception for 'long weekends' of course. Where a slot may be occupied, if you didn't reserve. It's going to take a few years before that changes, and at present, CSs seem to be exceeding demand. ????
  8. Not much different from 'real life', actual person to person contact. Just a lot safer and more options. Reality though, how many actually live in the same Amphur that she does ? Days past, when Yahoo chat was a thing, (yea, that long ago) and one of the only games in town, I use to chit chat with folks, all over the country. Worked for an airlines, so actually popping out to visit was easy for me. If the conversation didn't progress to that point, then I didn't waste my time. People living their social lives on Instagram, with people they'll never meet ... ... <deleted>
  9. The usual deceptive headline ... books aren't banned, just the one's that haven't been approved yet. We had sex education in school also, but not until we were old enough to actually understand and think for ourselves. Parents teach social skills. Teachers teach math, reading/writing, science, geography, history, trades.
  10. Some CC crying about the price of taxis in UT, isn't going to spring for a hotel that offers shuttle service in Udon Thani.
  11. A headliner "Lady almost throws up" ... about something that didn't happen. Can't wait ... "driver almost has accident on highway" ????
  12. Glad I don't live in UK or FR, and main reason I never considered retiring there, as way too expensive, along with most of EU. They'd have to triple the cost at CSs (charging stations) here in TH, to come close to the petrol cost of operating an ICE vs EV. MG ZS ICE - 360kms cost ~ ฿1260 (฿35/L) MG ZS EV - 360kms cost ~ ฿400 (฿8/kW) @ CS ฿250 @ home if not having solar - FREE if having
  13. I hope Pita continues to be a PITA for the junta. Junta spends too much money prepping for the invasion that's never going to happen. Subs, F35s, new Gulfstream ???? Same as all govts. Could be better spent on social programs.
  14. Yes, humans are a problem ... for humans, not the planet. I live in TH ... no need to remind me how most trash their environment. Global warming/Climate change, especially MMGW/CC, not really something to be concerned about ... IMHO. Maybe 500 yrs from now, if people don't self destruct by then.
  15. Don't know about the transfer of warranty, but we love ours, obviously, Since we upgraded to the E version. Wonder how many current (SAIC) models of MGs, that SM7 has owned to base his opinion on. Has cruise control & heater, if he was referring to the MG.
  16. Stated on your other thread, owned MG ZS ICE, and excellent. Like it so much, bought the EV version. 2nd hand EV would be fine, though with the govt incentives for new, then don't think new would be that much more.
  17. We have the MG ZS, and quite happy with that. Had the ZS ICE version prior to. MG EP Plus is well worth a peak, not a SUV, but specs are fairly identical. ZS a bit taller, EP a bit longer. ZS ... ฿949k EP ... ฿771k
  18. Apparently Toyota has had enough of their anti EV CEO ... https://electrek.co/2023/01/26/toyota-ceo-steps-down-amid-electric-vehicle-movement/
  19. Apparently 50+ years of public/govt service does qualify one to be president either. "In 1972, Biden defeated Republican incumbent J. Caleb Boggs to become the junior U.S. senator from Delaware. " https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Biden As an American / Yank (ON TOPIC) I don't like any career politician, as they've all failed ... miserably. ... IMHO
  20. Dr. Graham Conway is a Principal Engineer in the Automotive Division at Southwest Research Institute Southwest Research Institute Abbreviation SwRI Formation1947; 76 years ago Founders Thomas Slick, Jr. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southwest_Research_Institute Thomas Baker Slick Jr. (May 6, 1916 – October 6, 1962) was a San Antonio, Texas-based inventor, businessman, adventurer, and heir to an oil business. Slick's father, Thomas Baker Slick Sr., a.k.a. "The King of the Wildcatters", had made a fortune during the Oklahoma oil boom of the 1910s. He was notable for discovering Oklahoma's then-largest oil field, the Cushing Oil Field.[1] Career[edit] During the 1950s, Slick was an adventurer. He turned his attention to expeditions to investigate the Loch Ness Monster, the Yeti, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Slick
  21. Didn't bother watching as Feb 2020 ... basically 3 years old, based on even older research & tech. A lot has happened since then. Same can be said about lithium batteries, solar panels, better design & chemistries. Any & everything, 3-4 yrs older, especially in the 'eco' industry has progressed leaps & bounds. Most anything is better than fossil fuels; drilling/spilling, transporting/spilling, refining/polluting, using/burning/polluting. Was thinking the other day, while driving the EV, and realized, the whole oil, energy & ICE industry is a sad joke. Embarrassing people have fallen for it the last 25 ish year. Inclusive ... eyes wide open now.
