  1. And that (PlugShare), along with Charge Loma app aren't even up to date, as didn't show a few while we were O&A lately. And so many more coming online, impressive.
  2. jojothai gave you some good suggestions. Wildlife watching (Kui Buri NP) is not at the park, but here: KB wildlife Use to be 900 baht for truck + 200 pp https://www.huahinforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=28894&hilit=visiting+the+animals&start=15 You can also go whale watching, out of Ban Laem Phetchaburi, and saves going S from BKK on the gulf, or N from Cha Am, again, longer boat trips. whale watching ? Call to verify, season and if operating. Never used, just a reference point to the area. I've seen the signs as I looked for that elusive Spot Billed Pelican in the area ... unsuccessfully I might add ???? As mentioned, a few National Parks, west & surfside along that strip. At PKK, Ao Manao for swimming, though use caution, and keep ears out of water. Also at RTAF Wing 5/Ao Manao (need to sign in w/PP), over by museum area, may see the Dusky Leaf monkeys, though been a bit scarce of late. Our photos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/1Je2zCWZtiASKcca6 Due avoid the monkeys around Wat Khao Chong Krachok, and carry nothing (plastic bags) that they might assume has food, or show any food, as they can be extremely aggressive. Ignore them, and they will ignore you. Nice views from atop the hill. Been up there a few times, lots of steps, but not strenuous at all, and I'm 67 yrs old. hilltop wat Our snaps of: https://photos.app.goo.gl/7KHPvrnuR5MfD1Q03 We go here for a munch, 30-45min out of PKK town area: munch Not a fan of Bang Saphans, and personally wouldn't bother with those 2. On the way to Chumphon, decent waterfall, free, and better than most they charge for. Sai Khu Ban Krut is a favorite; Must stop on the way to Ban Krut, munch and or just beverage & pastry Decent munch
  3. Not my experience ... YMMV You forgot to add 'yellow book' ... still, no Thai price for me. Not saying it's never happened, but rare.
  4. Would have spared me 3 divorces, though they were mutual & no issues. If marrying the opposite sex (male/female) wouldn't necessarily mean either or both are straight. Maybe a new question for license applications ????
  5. Yea, confused the hell out of me ... then was entertaining enough. Being completely different was a plus. Though once was enough.
  6. If headed S, you don't not want to be in 'weekender' traffic, from/to Bangkok. I never go to BKK on Sunday, and never leave to come home/PKK on Friday or Saturday. A traffic nightmare on 35 & 4, as no real alternative routes.
  7. Think it has more to do with disposable, liquid cash, many don't have to play international tourist now, after a couple years of economic hardships. Air fares & hotel prices certainly aren't helping, as quite high at times. Actually surprised TH has recovered as well as it has. Phuket was quite busy, as recently there, and off season at that. Way too busy for us, to the point, we doubt if we'll be returning.
  8. Only you are being silly, as nobody is suggesting ending the use of petrochemical products. Just another of your silly apple & oranges comparisons. Try starting your ICE without a battery ... that's how silly sound.
  9. Khao Kho has the 'weapon museum', from the insurgency days and Wat Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew area, may interest. weapon museum Wat Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew
  10. 15 years .... they don't get out much ???? Maybe referring to just the Thai price ????
  11. Stick with it for awhile, as I found it entertaining. Watched all 10 seasons.
  12. Southern along the Gulf is easy, just hop beach to beach till bored. Also a couple Nat. Parks west of, for the hillier adventure.
  13. You'll probably have rain not matter which direction, unless very lucky. We did almost everyday, but very lite, or quick blast & done. Overnight...don't care. Also rained almost every day at home/PKK (A. Muang). We went north, Khao Kho, then up to Nan through Uttaradit & Phrae. 10 days, but spent 3 nights getting there, at Ayutthaya (1 night pitstop from PKK), and 2 nights at Nong Bua Lamphu, for a family thing. Also a 1 night pitstop at Uttaradit. Also can minus the 1 day PKK - Aytthaya & return to PKK you won't do. A bit of driving involved, (Khao Kho - Nan) but quite enjoyed the R&R at Khao Kho & Nan (Bo Kluea) areas. After Khao Kho, may want to explore something closer, may be loop around via Khai Yai or Kanchanaburi areas. For us it was 2700+ kms, so knock off 600kms for the PKK-BKK-PKK part. And a few more, bypassing NBLP. Our trip IF from BKK: https://aseannow.com/topic/1298442-leaving-the-bar-stool/page/2/#comment-18204589 The Khao Kho to Bo Kluea leg along (one way) is 500kms, why you may want to loop around and return BKK a different scenic route, after Khao Kho.
  14. Why I left my (probably) offending comments out, and didn't even quote that part ... ????
  15. Leaving from where & interests might help. It's rainy season, countrywide, so there's that, and luck of the draw. We just came back from northern direction. Had a bit of rain, nothing major, or that would limit sightseeing. Quite enjoyable. We travel for the journey, landscape along the way, and R&R at the destination. So hotel with a view is a priority, as we rarely leave except to eat. North, and a good start would be Khao Kho area. South, many like Hua Hin, if never been, Sam Roi Yot, Prachuap Khiri Khan. Unless into Wats, Nat. Parks and some Khmer ruins, may need to self entertain.
  16. Watch more that a few 'spots' on YT, seems to be quite entertaining at times. Other than those 'shorts', unfamiliar, and really don't do talk shows. Usually boring & staged set ups. May be different now, though doubtful.
  17. Seriously ... you want to be the pot or the kettle. The link doesn't mention TH at all. My mind reading ability isn't as good as yours, why I answered for both locations, TH & USA. The only good faith needed, I believe.
  18. NO, that was not implied, as Scot pointed out, gay forum not TH specific. If TH ... then I answered with my opinion. IF USA, then I answered that also, correctly I think.
  19. No I don't, why I asked. Just reread the replies, what am I missing ? OP asked when, but no location implied, along with a US college survey. All a bit vague.
  20. They would have to honor that, or find just cause to cancel it. I'd start looking for new employment if I was her.
  21. Agree, in TH, as long as they're spending money, nobody cares where they or anyone is from.
  22. I'm not a labor lawyer ... but, if her employment is dependent on 'contracts', and her current one is expiring, it would seem they don't have to renew it, or can offer her a different position, new contract (which it appears they have) when her contract does expire. Seems to be legal, in that aspect. Not forcing her to accept or leave. Until her present contract expires. If this is a merger or take over, then a very common practice.
  23. Didn't realize they were even available in the USA. Photo below is screenshot from Gsearch, site needs to register, I didn't. This site gives some prices of, accurate (?): https://www.ccarprice.com/us/mg-car-prices-in-USA-141
