  1. Both yellow house book & pink ID have come in very handy. Well worth the very small effort & cost to get, and very happy I have both. If purchasing vehicle or at Imm ...no need for (500 baht a pop) 'cert of residence', lease/landlords info. p ID for check in, especially in the past, to avoid TM30s when returning home. Great to give anyone asking for ID (ex: hospital) as have all, name/address without asking for more info. Keeps people from handling my PP, and keeps it looking new.
  2. Round ones are tasty, get them every so often, and since not 'labeled' Gammon, they aren't silly priced ????
  3. Makros usually have a good selection, more if in an expat infested town. Best prices also. Hua Hin has a lot more selection than our local/PKK Makro. Strangely, a bit more expensive for some items, even though closer to Krung Thep distribution centers ... hmm.
  4. Keep mine in a bank book sleeve, and has worked for decades, keeping dry & looking new. My 'bag' is water resistant/proof, and my yellow book is in a sealed waterproof plastic thingy. If ever caught in Typhoon or Tsunami, I could always put my PP in with my yellow book, as a bit roomy. Some of the comments are just silly, people always losing their possessions, or keeping 'paper' items in sweaty shirts or going swimming at SongKran with them. Depending where you hang out, most don't need to carry, unless at the tourist ghettos, where corrupt folks may hang out. As stated, just safer with me, on or in car nearby. Hotel room/safe, big NO ... IMHO. Front desk, maybe, but then one might forget when checking out, then not realize, till checking in for that int'l flight ... oops.
  5. I was surprised, as was the YTer, during his taste test, depending how used, there wasn't much difference in the jarred grated & some blocks of. I usual add as topping to pastas & salads, so I think I would notice. Prefer fresh grated to the 'green shake' bottle, as that was always a turn off, though might be mental ????
  6. Yes, always good to advertise you may or may not be partaking in some illegal activity. Profile me ... PLEASE
  7. I keep mine in plastic/waterproof pouch. Recent 10 yr renewal, and the old one looked brand new. Thought that would be common sense.
  8. Ability to be registered & tagged, would be my definition of legal. IF done, does limit the BIB options ???? IF not ... oh well 1 reason I have a DECO motorcycle (reg/tagged). Also why I don't pass PoPo when out & about on my e-bike, which will easily do 40+kph, and unreg/tagged. Keep around 25 kph / pedal speed, and it's a DIY, so frame & brakes weren't made for 40 kph.
  9. give Cello brand a pass ... terrible 'My' side by side taste test, and it has none ???? Here's an interesting, and surprising 'taste test', and take away what you want from it.
  10. I don't deal in silly 'what if s' ... especially when they've never happened in 67 yrs of me living. Exercising the slightest bit of uncommon common sense has kept me accident free. I look before I cross the street, and I think the car has 6 airbags & I drive the speed limit, and yet to have someone hit my vehicles while driving, and that's 22 ish yrs here. If I'm unconscious, due to any reason, losing my bag would be the least of me concerns, as nothing in there that can't almost easily be replaced. Having an accident, is 1 step below, being asked for my PP, since I don't frequent the 'tourist' ghettos, that a corrupt person would ask for it. If I show my DL & ID (pink) and they still want to see my PP ... well, nuff said. Still, my PP is safest with me, on me, or in the car, than at unoccupied house, or hotel room/safe that too many people have access to. After carrying for 10 yrs, still looks brand new.
  11. POCCO & Wuling, but don't think they are the ones you're thinking about. And they aren't inexpensive. DECO's family line / 3 wheelers might be, as their motorcycles / scooters are.
  12. https://www.thaizer.com/carrying-your-passport-in-thailand/#:~:text=“By law%2C you must carry, the back of your passport.”
  13. Yep ... another empty krap 'alcohol zone' with a few more drunks on the road. Don't know why the locals tolerate some foreigners. Another reason to stay away from HH.
  14. 2019 before 2 yrs of a bad 'situation' ... ... I remember a lot, but I live in the present. It will be years before, if ever, things return to high season 2019, and shy of 40 (?) million tourist are about. Bars could justify the cost of 'extra' channels. Frankly, I like it just the way it is ... a few million a year, and double digits where I am ????
  15. That's surprising, since footie isn't exactly a Yank thing. Actually thought they'd get spanked pretty bad.
  16. Following thoughts are simply my opinion: So the USA regime change at UA may be paying big dividends to the USA. Add all those suggested/forced RU sanction all you NATO/UK/EU lapdogs agreed to, and the profits to USA should be rolling in for decades. Y'all didn't see that coming ... OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE Ignorance is Bliss ... for some. I think a Win Win all around for USA. Take out UA as a world arms supplier & force RU to become the boogie man ... once again ... ????
  17. You may want to lead with that next time.
  18. No more plans needed, now simply enjoying ... ????
  19. Maybe not showing ... lack of interest, as probably a fairly boring game. Eng vs USA ... a bit of an uneven match.
  20. Why not put an endoscopy on your 'to do' list, as that will tell you or eliminate any scary things. Easy to get in Udon Thani or Khon Kaen, a lot faster, easier and cheaper than going to Krung Thep for a simple exam / procedure. Definitely should have gotten 2nd opinion, and seems easily diagnosed & possibly treated. Some of the things you tried may have disrupted her normal stomach activity, possibly prolonging symptoms. Take a peek at this, if not already researched it: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/h-pylori/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20356177 This post from a local forum may interest you, especially 'drunk monkey''s suggestion of Tabo, Nong Khai hospital & doc. Get good reviews. https://www.udonmap.com/udonthaniforum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=52602&p=605250&hilit=Nong+Khai+Dr+Wattana&sid=8a5e6c769d8a534f6cff34437c4df4a2#p605250 That whole thread may interest, as Army Hosp. mention, and I've used them before. Abet waiting list. BkkHosp Udon is silly priced, but will negotiate, even match other prices, as I've done that with them. I've also used BkkHosp, and doc who performed the surgery suggested next time to contact him directly, as he does the same at Gov't Hosp/Udon for much less. I simply wanted it done right away, and a private AC'd room. Cost 10X the gov't hosp price, but they didn't have a private room available.
  21. Headliner to stir the pot. USA a few CSGs (Carrier Strike Group) in the area already, I think. A base would simply be convenient, and prop up PI's economy, till it hits the fan again, and they are told to leave .... AGAIN.
