  1. Might be lost in translation, and opponents were 'predetermined'.
  2. She's smokin' hot, you're a lucky guy ????
  3. You can drive it, till current inspection/insurance badge expires, without risk of being cited. Future fines, maybe, depends where you live. As stated, only negative, probably wouldn't be able to 'legally' sell it. If owner did krap out, you'd need a death certificate at least, to try to transfer it. Since you do have blue book, ID, you'd probably be able sell to a not so reputable dealer, not that I would endorse such a thing, for others to do, but I'd definitely consider doing it, before 'badge' expires. Depending on value of said vehicle. Do you know any Asian who almost looks like the owner????
  4. US Surgeon General ... med grad, practicing, teaching Uni level medicine. Thai Minister of Health ... Engineering degree Let that sink in, take as long as you need.
  5. Yea ... that's actually pretty cool idea. As the participants can stop when ever they like. Very safe, sort of. Would think if someone was dumb enough to continue, when they shouldn't, there opponent would simply cease. No pressure for a 'show' as opposed to pros, which I disagree with that sport. Wonder if they would let bystander participate ... ???? Legality ... would think there in no law against playing sports on the beach, as long as not paid or for profit.
  6. I follow the science, and took the advice of the US Surgeon General ... “Seriously people- STOP BUYING MASKS!”, they are NOT effective in preventing general public from catching #Coronavirus" ... nuff said Since he has a 'medical degree', had private practice, taught at Uni, figured he'd be the one to listen to back in early 2020.
  7. Don't read the forum much do you. We've been called 'murdering scum', more than a few times. 'My body, my choice' goes over a few folks' head on the forum.
  8. Covid/SoE, hasn't affected us at all, with exception to wearing a mask (nose exposed) at chain vendors & malls in the past. Already stopped wearing to Makro or 7-11. SoE hasn't stopped us from anything. Went O&A from day 1 of, to all parts of the country, in 2020/21/22. Lost a bit of respect for the intelligence of locals & expats that bought into the silliness, and prefer to live in fear, IMHO. But that's about it.
  9. Maybe you non smoker, might listen a bit to us smokers. Topic is mental effects from, and none for me, or anyone I know or have known. That's a lot potheads. Myself, use to habitually smoke morning, noon, night when younger. Realizing 'smoking itself' is not healthy, slowed down, stopped, occasional, or anywhere in between. As that's common sense. 'Smoking' anything is not healthy long term, and will eventually damage your lungs. But smoking ganga is neither addicting, nor causes psychological problems IMHO, from over 50 yrs of experience smoking. Lung are clean, as don't smoke enough to damage them. Uncommon common sense.
  10. Natural occurrences for millions of years. Nothing has changed, along with people believing whatever they're told. If there were no humans on the planet, there would still be wild fires & droughts.
  11. More like 'scam & scam' We popped into MG, to ask about financing our 'order' instead of paying cash, told can't do, since order placed stating cash payment. Kind of the opposite of what you are implying. Anyone dumb enough to pay silly interest, when they want to pay cash, oh well ... som nam na Shop elsewhere, simple enough.
  12. 122 / 12 = 10.169 103 / 8 = 12.75 Stop the presses ???? So on the admission form, since a bit schizo, should I admit to using YaBa and be paranoid of jail sentence or should I admit to using ganja and nothing to worry about.
  13. The 4 to 6 weeks of cool season in udon thani was always welcome. Low teens Celsius maybe 9 10 11, one week as the very lowest. Daytime in the twenties lovely night time, simply cuddle up. On topic, if there really is one, electric oil filled radiators, sold here and work fine.
  14. Build in low lying flood plain, and you're going to get flooded out, every now & then, if not every year. hmm ... and yet, they stay. Your gov't decides to channel the natural waterways your way, you're going to getting flood. Nothing but, 'you shouldn't be there to begin with' or 'simply mismanagement of natural resources' Pretty certain, there was floods there every year or so, before anyone decided to build or farm there, or the latter, pure mismanagement. Better choice = better living environment.
  15. Not so sure about that. It's the weather, and it changes, a wee bit, year to year, and sometimes 5 yr stretches, but no major changes the past century, or that ' I'd ' expect in the future. Good for headliner, new taxes, and price gouging ... that's about it. Here's a pretty cool site, click on type of weather, along with your province. Did for Udon Thani & PKK, as 2 place we've 'lived', and no surprises. https://climateknowledgeportal.worldbank.org/country/thailand/climate-data-historical UT got about 1.5 m a year +/- of rain when we lived there, seems to be a bit dryer past few years. PKK receiving considerably more than UT, past 5 ish years, and thanks for sharing, though has had it's dryer stretches. From 1.2m to 2.2m over the past 120 yrs. If it gets less than 1 meter or more than 3 meters a year, then I might get concerned. Hasn't happened in the past century+, and don't expect to happen in the next century or 10. NO major changes since records kept, just some fluctuations every so many years. All expected, then, now, and in the future. The temps, low-mean-high, are even more consistent than the rainfall.
  16. "These Nine Chinese Auto Companies Are Ready To Conquer The World" https://www.motor1.com/news/588376/nine-chinese-automakers-ready-conquer-world/
  17. Was up there last month, and quite surprised how many Ora Good Cats I noticed, and not the same one ???? Same with noticing them on hwy #2, near the metros on the way up & back; Korat, Khon Kaen. Very easy to spot, OGC & MG ZS's new front end. Not many ZSs. Hybrids you see more of, and if not familiar, you won't notice, unless behind them. Saw Haval H6 this morning. That's a nice looking ride ride. GWMs OGC easy to spot, unique shape and running light is around the headlights. New MG ZS EV is another easy to spot, as no contrast (ugly) front 'grill', or lack of. Only other non hi-end ALL EV you might see is the MG EP, nothing standing out to notice if not familiar.
  18. I usually don't read them, unless a comment catches my eye, as only see the last one. Most topic, I bypass. Unless extremely bored, as in today & yesterday. krap outside, and caught up inside. All for discussion. Repetitive complaining doesn't fit that description. Have a good one ...
  19. You need to get more, as I see 1 or 3 everyday, and I'm in uncongested PKK province (not Hua Hin), Amphur Muang. Mostly ZSs & GWMs during my short drives to the park/surf everyday. Not much road time, and surprised I see them at all. Rarely see the hi-end EVs.
  20. Yes, but the new-blip states 17k+ taking advantage of the govt incentives, means ordered since incentives available. That's a lot of EVs, in less than 6 months.
  21. ... repetitively If things I didn't like occupied my brain cells that much, I'd left a long time ago. How many times, on vehicle accident thread, as if we need to read about every single one in the news, do people feel the need to repeat 'Thais can drive properly'. The same people repeating the same post.???? Though per capita, expats are worse, at least in the my helmet wearing observations.
