I quite enjoy wearing more 'colorful' shirts, always did. Print/flowers/bird, brighter colors; Peach or Buddha forbid, pink-ish tone shirt. One of my friends, commented about one pink shirt ... just replied "I'm quite secure in my sexuality, so don't care what men think", got a few smiles from the women in the room. Looking gay isn't necessarily a bad thing, as some women may go out of their way to 'cure you' ... who am I to prevent them from showing me the way ???? I used to have neon peach wind breaker, I wore on scooter or if hiking, boating, out scuba diving. Again, friends would comment, one when diving ... reply was ... "when we're cast in sea after an oops, who's jacket do you think the rescuers will see". Same with trekking, nobody going to mistake me for a deer. High vis on a scooter never hurts.

Yes, I avoid western foreigners at all cost. When accosted, approached by them ... "no hablo Inglés" ... usually works ????

This is the one I have, though pretty sure I didn't pay that price, more like 500 baht. With shirt out, as usually is, you can barely see the bag, maybe lower half will be visible. If on scooter, I just take wallet & phone in pant's pocket. @fredob43 Same here, and I actually get out & about a lot more locally, within 300kms round trip, as not a lot worth paying ฿7-800 to see again. Not going to pay a couple hundred baht to go have a meal that cost the same. But throw in free transport ... yea, I can do that. Charging at home from excess solar = FREE transport cost. I pop down to Ban Krut & up to Hua Hin quite often for a munch or shopping. If having to pay for petrol, I wouldn't bother. An performance wise, sorry, but an ICE, can't touch an EV. Just on one of my favorite roads, 4118 down through Surat Thani to Phang-Nga, pretty awesome pushing the limits. Not a sports car, but damn fun driving. Only thing better would have been dry road, and a real MC.

A 500 kms trip would require me to stop once for about 30 mins. So almost same amount of time it would take me in an ICE, maybe 15 mins longer. One 30 min stop vs 15 w/ICE. If only stopping once. Headed to Phuket now, and noted 'wife's' first stop was at 100 kms mark ???? for piss, bev/snack. 2 more stops before getting to hotel at Phang-Nga, shy of 500 kms from home. Actually planned an overnight in Surat Thani province also, but weather not cooperating.

Not quite sure what 'man bag' is, but I certainly have more than a few bags. Most with a specific purpose. My daily bag, which I even occasional put on my person, is called a leg bag. Wear around waist, but predominately hangs/lays against your leg. Long downward vs long across/fanny pak style. Holds quite a bit, wallets, PP, yellow/bank book, TDS pen, blade, specs. Though I cut he 'holster' straps off, as that's just silly, unless riding a MC. Takes the weight off my spine, and every little bit less, helps. Any weight above my waist, is accumulative as the day goes on, and I'll feel at night, when resting. I rarely carry anything, except from house to vehicle.

So you're saying you don't have electric at the house ? That's where most people, inclusive, charge their EVs.

They're revamping all the station along the southern line, from Phetchaburi to Chumphon. Guess in preparation for the millions of tourist expected to visit the "Riviera Thailand', as it's being promoted. Agree with Peter, and passengers load surely don't dictated the size of new stations, and money spent. Ours is going to be huge now, and nice, but could easily have been half that size.

I'm guessing, but is this a loan from a private individual, as I can't see how any bank/CC would let her extend 140k of borrowing, without cutting her off after a few missed payments. Either way, she obviously going to ignore the notice, and should tell you everything you need to know, in case you had thoughts of helping her out.

Guessing she doesn't have assets, and since in civil court, I wouldn't worry too much myself. Don't know if they do the 'debtor prison' thing here, though wouldn't be surprised. Not much you can assist with, since she seems to not care. Would think any negotiation for lower (half maybe) debt, would be a bit harder after court judgement ... or not. They really would rather get paid something, and if sold to agency, they might have picked it up on the cheap, and 50% might still be a profit for them. Legal fee just upped their overhead, so maybe not. My experience, debt collection was beyond 'time limit', and once pointed out to the debt collector, (obviously court not involved) that they had no legal standing, the letters & phone calls ceased to the debtor. Actually debtor been offered & approved for CCs since.

BritManToo seems to be the only one with knowledge, aside from myself, though mine longer than 5 yrs ago, and 'time limit to collect' was 2 yrs. I think They'll send letters & phone (if having ph#), but unless 'officially' summoned to court, by the court, not much to worry about, except current credit rating.

Sooner or later, you run out of other people's money. Those that contribute the most (such as myself when in USA), will eventual think they had enough, and simply leave the country. Taking their future tax revenue with them.

Been here long enough, and sampled most things enough, to know which dishes, may or may not come out of the kitchen way too spicy. Why I travel with my own Cayenne pepper. If ordering one of those dishes, I state 'mai phet, mai chili', as I'll spice it up myself. Cayenne chili pepper is half the Scoville rating of Thai chili, and aside from frying my taste buds, it's gentiler on my stomach & production of acids.

Not a fan of nanny states, but when administering meds & procedures, to kids or adults, then some oversight is needed. Sadly, with some things, people need protection from themselves.

CC companies send out summons to appear in court ? I suspect not, though not a lawyer. How old is the debt, makes a huge difference, and when was last 'official' payment or contact w/CC company. Also a legal binding aspect of any collection. TIT ... ignore what other countries do. They have a legal debt collection system, and it is time sensitive. 2 yrs for unsecured debt, or was, a few yrs ago, unless changed.

TBH, I don't live in FL, if I did, since not having kids, wouldn't affect me. Since I agree with what I've read about it (very little, just on AN), then I really don't care who proposed it, or signed into law. Guessing a speech of DeSantis, agreeing with or pushing the same. Didn't and not going to watch it, but the title is enough for me to agree. I'm tired of the 'woke mindset', 'cancel culture', 'me too', 'believe every woman' agenda. Left/right/rep/dem, labels of this & that. Special interest groups, don't interest me, they aren't special. Stop with the labels, and division, and people might actually start having conversations, get along, and sort their differences out, and be more accepting to new, different ideas.
