  1. too much as way to old. If liking the ZS, stick with that, couple ex. from FB Marketplace:
  2. That's apple & oranges, as yet to dine anywhere that would compare to my past dining out in the USA. $1-200 USD, w/drinks (alcohol), but also 24 yrs ago. So 2X today, at a guess. USA ... fine dining & ambiance TH ... lucky to have AC ... Dined out this evening, and it was ฿300. Me .. Khao Nuea, no rice, (big serving of beef, 1 egg (think Khao Moo), roti, spring rolls, ฿120/30/20 Wife ... Beef Massaman, roti, rice/veggie/noodle thingy, 50/10/20 Water 20 (2), egg tarts (2) ฿20/30 TTL ฿300 and we were stuffed. Usual is anywhere between ฿300 and ฿800, if that. Have spent more on special occasions, lunch or dinner with daughter & partner (that boy can put food away), @ Krung Thep, and in the ฿2k-3k range. None of us drink alcohol, though if getting smoothies or whatever, cost the same or more than small beers. Our 2 local favorite place (AC'd) and we're usually out of there <฿400, We really don't eat out much locally, and mostly when O&A, as we are now, at Hat Yai.
  3. Our MG ZS's WLTP range is 320, and we exceed that knocking around town (360 +/-), and meet or exceed on the highway, at 90 kph +/- Example of that, O&A now, and home to first unscheduled 'P' break, and while there, a quick munch, and topped up, since didn't need much, and hate to waste a stop. That at only about 165 kms from home, as usually don't think about charging till 225 kms, then hit one before 250 kms, as that's 3+ hrs on the road. But that first stop was a bit early, and we averaged 83 kph, actually good for TH. Using 14.2 kWh/100 kms = 326 kms range on full battery. Based on real life experience, yesterday.
  4. Might want to try a different EV, as those #s suck. By your estimate, I shouldn't go further than 160 kms round trip, and I we have no problem going 250, with nice reserve when back home. We pop up to Hua Hin quite a bit, and it's 200 kms r/t, and we always return with at least 1/3 battery/100+ kms remaining range.
  5. For us, PEA's spacing, installed by PEA, is 20m apart ... BUT, they when with 22m, to avoid 1 more pole, as we're 155m from main road, and they installed 7 pole, main rd - corner of lot. The rest we ran underground to house, less than 20m of wire.
  6. Have you read some of the excellent advice you've received, along with heads up, that your OP was entirely wrong. You apparently didn't do any real research before posting. You're welcome for the advice ... RENT, JIC you missed it.
  7. Might just want to skip all the individual ones, and just take a multivitamin. I take Kirkland multi-vit, as when tested, they actually contain what they state. Fairly healthy, but diet lacks the amount I used to eat, along with enough servings of veggies & fruits, I think. So the vit should fill in all the blanks. You state fairly health, eat decent, and get a bit of exercise, so all sounded good, and not really seeing the need to supplement the assortment of individual ones you're taking. And too much of one, may interfere with another, hence why I just take the multi-vit, as fairly balanced.
  8. That's after taking the statin ... Here's mine after taking Rosuvastatin (10mg), which I'm weening myself off of now. Even though didn't start till 68 yrs old, really don't want to be an any med for long term. Before statin ... so they do work:
  9. Things will only get better & less expensive in the future; https://electricdrives.tv/the-top-three-battery-chemistries-coming-soon-to-evs-and-none-of-them-are-solid-state/ My own unscientific calculation of battery degradation is <4% over the 8 yr warranty period, if continue with 20k kms a year driving, which I suspect we won't rack up that many as the years go by, so probably less.

  11. Eat more healthy cholesterol, so your liver doesn't make the crap stuff. May want to ignore some of the healthy eating advice they push. Low fat, lean meat, as what you don't eat, you liver will make, and sucks at it, putting out LDL. Eggs are a great source, and I eat a couple everyday, scrambled and cooked in olive oil & butter. Keep on with the exercising and add intermittent fasting, which will help greatly with weight loss, and control. Only thing that has worked for me.
  12. You know they do, and yep, our ZS ICE version was the best car I owned in TH at that price point. We bit more than Vios & Mazda 2, but so much better. Would recommend to OP but he's looking for something more higher end, and don't think SUV is on his list. Actually the OP is kind of hard to take serious. As if he never bought a car before and hasn't a clue. As a few pointed out, including myself, with his auto skill set ... buy new.
  13. Actually I do, and would never own another ICEV.
  14. Plan on spending time there on the way back up. Over night Sun & Mon, be in Betong on Tues, and leave the area before Friday or Fri morning. @oliviazeno as suggested, rent for a year or so, before buying in anywhere. Not a city person ourselves, and love the western part of ST province, toward Khao Sok and down to Phang Nga town (Muang district). Actually would prefer that, than anywhere in ST.
  15. Yea, that's the planned crossover from the coast to inland and down to Betong.
  16. Heading that way tomorrow, though we don't spend much time in ST (Muang district), and more a pit stop. Yes, we'll be heading down the coast, over by Sichon and below, most of the way till Songkhla. Hwy #41 is a bit boring, especially if any air pollution, as the scenery of any hills in the distance will be a blur. Hope to be down at Betong, Yala, couple days before the weekend, as no desire to be there when the Malay weekender hit town. Not that we'd be near the nightlife area, just prefer not to be caught up in any congestion, if any. A first for us, down that far south, and checks off the last few provinces we haven't stay at yet. Already been to the most N of TH, most E & W and in between. Now the most Southern. Never made it past Phattalung or Satun before, as usually the bottom end of our Southern loops, I don't think, and definitely never slept there if we did. Will actually hit the other areas on the way back up, and a slower ride, spending some time at Hat Yai, Songkhla area & countryside, and where ever else. Need to do a bit more reading about Pattani & Narathiwat.
  17. What's so hard to understand. I could top up the EV at Lotus's on my weekly Swensen's visit. Really don't need to charge at home. If living in Krung Thep, who doesn't hit a mall once a week. You all do go food shopping once a week. There's more than enough CS conveniently located in most areas. When we're O&A, charging isn't an inconvenience at all. Always one where we're stopping, or near where we're eating or shopping, and guarantees a parking spot ... that's a plus in itself. Oh Ye' of Closed Minds Y'all crack my up. Even when O&A, if people are out as much as we are, there is no inconvenience owning an EV. Seriously ... after 3+ hrs on the road, just the same as when owning an ICEV, we're stopping at a PTT Park; for a 'P', for a dog walk, at least 'P'ing", then browse the vendors and get a munch. That's a given and takes about 30 mins, at least. Oh look at that ... there's a CS here, how convenient, so why not top up the car, while we're doing all the above ... ... same as owning an ICEV, just don't have to Q up and wait for them to top it up, just plug in .... .... and .... cost a lot less Y'all over thinking sh!t ... stop making life hard ...
  18. I don't do tiktok, but for the USA (land of the free) ... and speech #1, well, nuff said. Going after tiktok, and after Elon for allowing free speech on 'X', pretty much show how free things are. I know from personal experience, being audited by IRS, when criticizing the WH, (Obama & Bush 2). It's no joke, which is a sad joke within itself. Part of the reason I'm here
  19. Yea ... the ones in the mini fry pan, too easy. One on the plate sliced is TGM (Spicy Herb).
  20. Agree 100% You are born male or female. You can tell yourself what ever you want, dress and behave however you want. BUT .. a transwomen will never get pregnant, and a transman will never get a woman pregnant. You have XX or XY chromosomes, that is what you are, and that will never change. You can add implants or chop off whatever pleases you, but you will always be a birth male or female. These facts will never change. Follow my wife or daughter into the ladies room, and I'll be standing right next to you the whole time ... that's a fact also. I might even hang out there till you leave. Transmen aren't trying to compete against men, and I haven't read any reports about transmen requesting to be placed in men's prison ... go figure.
  21. Scrapple (German/Amish brekkie meat) is formed the same way, after mixed, just placed in a loaf tin, same as meatloaf, and portions sliced off that when cooled.
  22. Buy new. Don't know how you are with new tech, but if for knocking around town, and not too many long drives (125+ kms from home) in the year, then you may want to peek at a few EVs (BEV/full battery (not hybrids), as about 2000 less moving parts. Same price as ICEV (petrol cars), starting around 500k and <!M for a few makes/models; Neta V, BYDs, & MGs. Charging at home a plus, though not a complete necessity, since many malls and even Lotus's now have charging cable. No more hassle than topping up at petrol station, once past the slight learning curve. Operating & maintenance cost considerably lower than petrol vehicle. Just noticed your 'price' / 50k USD ... buy new, options abound.
  23. I don't bother with sausage casings, just make patties. Casings is way too much hassle, buying, cleaning, before & then after using. Too much clean up for me.
  24. Just part of the basic spices most should have. Only off one might be sage, as not really a Thai thing, but easy to find (Makro), or silly expensive little jars of. Needed when making Scrapple.
