I knew a few back in Philly, PA, USA, converts and loved their 'healthy' eating part of the cult Always fresh baked goodies for us stoners. Between them and the Amish, it's a wonder I wasn't a fat teen.

132 kph (82 mph) really isn't that fast, and we don't know what & where or the road conditions. Obviously good enough to go that fast, and hopefully as responsible as possible, and aware of cross traffic, if any. There's some long stretch of highway here where 132 kph is quite safe to do. I've gone much faster, though not in Thailand. I've pretty sure I've done about 225 kph (140 mph) back in the ol' USA. On open interstate hwy, metro area. As here, I wouldn't do it in the countryside, too many deer, as there are dogs here for my older reserved self. I'm constantly passed by cars here doing 130+ kph, so not exactly ruining the farang image.

I set up my DD with SS & BkkBank here, and NY branch not involved. Did it via Manila US Embassy, I think. IDD rings a bell, as required by SS when informed about. https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/federal-benefits/

See plenty of hotels at MinBuri, (Gmaps) though none showing as pet friendly on Booking.com; Closest I stayed to MinBuri was at Gardenroom Suvarnabhumi, coffee shop with room/dormitory, shared bath, pet friendly. We were the only ones there. Plus, across street from Paseo Mall, and plenty of food. 30 mins away from MinBuri, depending where you want to be. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Gardenroom+Suvarnabhumi/@13.7227654,100.7246183,3a,75y,90t/data=!3m8!1e2!3m6!1shttps:%2F%2Fimages.trvl-media.com%2Flodging%2F46000000%2F45440000%2F45435800%2F45435771%2Ff825d734_z.jpg!2e7!3e27!6shttps:%2F%2Flh3.googleusercontent.com%2Fgps-proxy%2FALm4wwnNTgt1SAntxascHG84dQdn8m04x5-MfpBYpfE1eQrl357OPFqPgtmydXfNq1H_EjrpnA_1Uk9T9kKhtyQKJvaWBDMZ2tw80KhhSyEZPfjShpipcdduNnJ_XL-gFtjH3JKsvTj8GIJ3ZIg3t2JyOn_9eok2PT47AQ64yTZMgCzFobbYCIqQOFcCSA%3Dw203-h152-k-no!7i1000!8i750!4m9!3m8!1s0x311d6726e577f87b:0x5fdd57f5b38e9234!5m2!4m1!1i2!8m2!3d13.7227687!4d100.7247085!16s%2Fg%2F11bycf6v78

Thanks, saw that, but gave it a pass, was 50/50 on it, looked interesting, but low IMDB score. Along with no familiar actors, but that seems to be a plus now of days. Need something, as ran up of others, either ended or didn't start up again.

New climate study raises alarm for Asian Megacities

Especially since so many expats on the forum are quite vocal about wearing them. I see a lot of tanned farangs on their scooters, so assuming they are expats living here. Besides the ones I see every week here. I'm surprised I see so many when at Hua Hin, as I'd think more enforcement would make a difference ... apparently not. Surely there's helmet laws in the home country of the tourist. I also don't get why people do here what they won't or can't do at home.

Wife likes this one, as we were there yesterday, again ???? https://www.google.co.th/maps/place/11°48'40.3"N+99°47'09.1"E/@11.811185,99.7853048,192m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m4!3m3!8m2!3d11.811185!4d99.785852 Coming out of town, on Prachuapsiri Rd, and just past ร้านกินเส้นประจวบ restaurant and worth popping in for Khao Soi if haven't yet. Just east of Somboon & Prachuapsiri Rd intersection. Sai Jai Coffee is across the street, and just OK.

hmm... ... drinking ... no helmet ... no insurance ... leave 5 kids in UK, only 32 yrs old ... with GF on int'l holiday ... family at side, instead of home, saving money, selling something or borrowing on their assets, as he is in a coma, so useless to be here Not winning much sympathy, as life seems to be filled with irresponsibility, that has now caught up to him. 2 weeks in a coma isn't looking too good. Their donation link sucks, not that I was going to contribute, just curious what & if they are close to their goal.

New climate study raises alarm for Asian Megacities

If they are buying mid size cars, then they can definitely afford an EV. Our MG ZS was ฿949k SUV/crossover and more than enough room for any family. Sounds like more excuses me. -
New climate study raises alarm for Asian Megacities

If they can afford a new ICE, they can afford an EV. Especially if they go top end of entry level. Here that just about matches the MG EP @ ฿771k, and that's a lot of car for money. Neta V @ ฿549k and basically matches every entry level car here except Celerio or March, low end 3cyl types and considering what they offer, another 100k is well worth the investment, for low cost operation & maintenance. Long run, hard to beat the cost of owning an EV. -
I couldn't find much of anything on them. I've seen being used here, but nothing I'd put a 25kg dog on. Luckily my dog is a lightweight (12Kg) and fits in the MB basket. Secure leash to a D-ring, and we're good. She just sits back & chills. Sometimes when get back home, I have to tell here to get the hell up, we're done. I like the cargo trailer, and could put a floor on it, with a tent to provide some shade.

New climate study raises alarm for Asian Megacities

Keep telling yourself that. When I'm on the E-MB, behind fossil fuel burners ... I nose & eyes are telling me, I'm helping solve the problem, instead of being the problem. If waiting for others, politician to lead the way ... ... nuff said Mandates & cash incentives don't seem to be enough for some. There are no reasons, just excuse with hypocrites. -
Help understanding power generation and usage
KhunLA replied to statman78's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
My inverter shows how much/what and where it's going in every direction in real time. panels, grid, battery, load (house). On the inverter panel, and app. along with totals currently used/using and for the day. Not sure about the inverter, but app stores it all in memory, for years. Depending on need, in real time, the 'arrow' may reverse direction as we're looking at, if sun is blocked by a cloud and load is drawn from elsewhere (grid or battery) which we prioritize in the settings. Solar-battery-grid for us, till battery at certain %, then grid if no solar. Luckily, yet to 'need' the grid overnight or at all, since solar installed. -
I would think she can do it from any USA Embassy. Asking there, would be better than asking here. While at it, ask what is required, for the correct info, at the embassy she'll be apply at. That's the info you need and best place to get it. I thought that fell under the ol' uncommon common sense. Maybe Google doesn't answer questions nobody asked before.
