Chrome just started doing this. If I highlight text and right click to search, it opens a sidebar instead of new tab. To disable that feature and restore searching in new tab: "Run the Chrome browser, and open a new tab. Type or copy-paste chrome://flags/#side-search into the address bar and hit Enter . Select Disabled from the drop-down list next to the Side Search option. Relaunch the browser when prompted"

Buy insurance: British tourist issues warning after moped crash

With no before & after, it's pretty hard to tell what they had to work with. From looks of it, she'll have a thin line across her cheek, and surely can be touched up if she wants later. Looks like it was a fairly jagged tear and slice. A little concealer and make up would do a fine job of blending. -

Agree, and thought it was just a nasty scratch till reading 56 stitches, well done. -
Probably as accurate as any can be, since most mentions of Jesus is 300 yrs after his death.???? Maybe one at 55 and one at 125 yrs 'after' death. And with a life expectancy of 25-33 yrs old back then, that's 2 to 4 whole generations of BS to be passed on. Can we please move the Bible to the fiction section of the library ????

yea ... talk about reading the headline only, then assuming wrongly what that even meant. Too funny, as were most of the other replies that didn't peek at the link. Par for the 'expert' analysis on AN -

I personally can't understand why any asylum request would be accepted, let alone approved at the US/Mexican border. Did they not escape their oppression when they crossed the southern border of Mexico. Why are they not asking for asylum there,, when they crossed into Mexico ?

I caught part of that new sit-com in the news comics today. Great new mini-series apparently. Not sure if I saw the pilot, but ep02 was funny. Expect 2 more episodes will be out, unfortunately. -
If having a legal 'loan contract' & cheque (substantiating evidence), then legal recourse may be available, but winning a judgement & actually getting paid is 2 different things. Especially if he has no assets.

Not necessarily, as I don't think there is a 'legal'/'authorized' name for anything. In TH, if it has 2 or 3 wheels & a motor, it's a motorcycle. Other may call something a scooter, for whatever reason. I've called all motorcycles, scooters for as long as I've been riding them. Mine; 750/900/125/3000w, or friends Harley hogs. It's a scooter to me. Best different description I've seen to distinguish motorcycle from scooter is this: "Motorcycle vs. Scooter - J.D. Power https://www.jdpower.com › shopping-guides › motorcy... The design of a scooter includes a step-through frame and a platform for the rider's feet" Along with placement & size of motors. Most here, both, are 125cc or less, so not as relevant. -
Not according to these 2 charts: https://www.statista.com/statistics/204133/retail-prices-of-motor-fuel-in-the-united-states-since-2009/ Taxes - wiki:

Buy insurance: British tourist issues warning after moped crash

Unless y'all read her exact policy, you're all speculating what insurance she had, or the coverage. What ever she had, was enough, thankfully for her. I'm sure you all know every insurance policy, offered by every insurance company. Plenty of policies out that, with no 'if ands or butts' we'll cover you, but not for the CC. Instead of asking for cheapest policy, ask for the 'all inclusive, no matter what' policy. Sure they exist, at a price. Or she simply read the fine print of the cheapest policy, and abided by it ... NOBODY KNOWS I'm guessing like all insurance, you get what you pay for. I can get insurance that covers my 'stupidity' if I want, though cost more, than basic or no insurance. I'm more a no insurance guy, but know my limitations. GOD & BUDDHA are my co-pilot. Have a nice day PEACE OUT -
Impossible not to. Love plastic bags, as cutting down trees for paper bags is about as un 'eco' as can be. Use cloth or larger synthetic bags when shopping, as Makro doesn't bag. Plastic is not the demon, people's disposal of is. Plastic containers are practical, though use mostly glass now if practical. There is no need for ICE, for personal use, or fossil fuel for personal transport or home heating, electric production, if alternatives are used. EVs eliminate huge part of oil use, production, pollution. Don't bother with the oil company studies stating how everything about an EV is un eco friendly produced. NO, you're not going to eliminate petrochemicals products, didn't imply you could or should. Maybe in the distant future, but doubtful. Just as you're not going to eliminate use of batteries, lithium, electronics, chips, China produced anything & everything for transportation & household, daily living. Nobody's implying that either, except ignorant anti-China idiots. Simply stated, you can continue giving your hard earned money to petrol companies, or choose an alterative, that you don't get scammed for. Their price gouging is nothing but a scam. That was pretty obvious ever since the 1970s oil shortage BS. they seem to have a silly excuse every year or so to increase prices & profits. Except now, there are practical, affordable, mass produced autos & scooters, and energy sources as an alternative, so you don't need to fall for their BS anymore. Choice is yours. Fill their pocket and add to their billions in profits with your money, or keep your money in your pocket. I simply chose the latter. UP2U

Maybe she had no license or helmet, just really good insurance coverage ???? One thing she definitely had, was bad luck when she bounced off the scooter. -

Amazing AN posters. <deleted>, she had a bad bounce on a window, she didn't knock the house down and the occupants aren't homeless ... ???? I actually hit a house once on a 350cc, thankfully it wasn't through their living room bay window. NO, wasn't drunk, just stupid.
