  1. Isn't there a footie thread or a full brekkie thread, you could waste your time on, instead of a thread that doesn't interest you ...
  2. Matter fact I have, (not sailed), as couple friends were into boats. Almost rammed a freighter, in the fog, don't know how he got into the 'lane'. Finally beached ourselves He / driver, was hungover/still drunk, and wife had to be at work, after an all nighter. Needless to say, she didn't make. After beaching it, we said F'it, before we killed ourselves or someone else. This same guy, flipped that same speed boat twice, and has the honor of being the first person on the Delaware River to get a DUI while operating, the same boat Wasted youth, though not so young, sadly Other buds were more into larger yachts. Damn rich folks.
  3. On the flip side, not exactly a fan of a lot of USA, Baltimore, being one. Great crab cakes though. Mississippi ... Phil Ochs got this one right. Damn embarrassing at times.
  4. A favorite song of mine. Have seen Randy Newman a few times, a nice show. Once at Academy of Music, and one of the best concert halls. Wow, that was a long time ago ... "Sep 23, 1977 — Get the Randy Newman Setlist of the concert at Academy of Music, Philadelphia, PA, USA on "September 23, 1977" Baltimore is another favorite ... sadly, timeless ...
  5. 07 didn't do much for me, but didn't peek too hard at. Didn't care for the outside, so no need to peek inside. OGC just happen to be on display as I exited Robinsons, so too convenient, and really did surprise me.
  6. She can leave (as can I) or chuck my butt out anytime she wants. Keep it all, as she doesn't need me, or I her. We just love & actually like each other, unlike so many others I read from or about. Nothing keeping us together except desire to be. Free world, and been like that for us over 18+ years, living together, 10+, actually married. First 3, first one last 2 years, maybe, the other two, one year. OH ... and I just had a 7-11 Chicken Caesar Salad (just ok). Going to follow it up with Smoked Paris Ham sandwich later, on nice bread (Tops). Had a much better Caesar salad yesterday & excellent beef burger. Later on for dinner, a pizza from same place AJ Grill/Sukhothai, if anyone in the hood 👍👍
  7. Peeked at GWM's Ora Good Cat & 07. Both very nice, and never paid much attention to them. Just the negative BS, 'chickie car'. OGC was very solid, and had that quality sound when closing the door. Impressed and wasn't expecting it to be so pleasing. Well fitted out. Again, not understanding why anyone would bother the imports from JP, or 'made in TH' entry vehicles. Those interested should take a peek at the all, GWM, BYD, MG & NETAs for budget conscious.
  8. If only 15k, then they probably don't have lithium batteries. You state you could have petrol MB, why not a E-MB. DECO has a nice line up, legally registered. and could even add a salang to 2000w version, for added range and versatility. 1000w have limited range, although if not needing more Practical usable range, knock 25% off advertised range, to be on the safe side. Getting govt incentives (18k baht off) at the moment. We have the SUS model, and very happy with it. Owning 3 yrs come this October, I think. DECO also offer trikes, and pricier than what you stated, but lithium batteries, and guessing longer warranty.
  9. It would be very handy for rural users, as what's available now is sketchy & slow in many places. If you were to rely on your mobile phone, besides sketchy & slow, it could add up, depending your gb usage. That's why everyone is on their phones at coffee shops & such, free wifi, so they don't exhaust their own plans. Obviously $120 a month wouldn't fit into most budgets, unless needed and used. I remember when it cost 12 baht/per minute to call Bangkok, from Udon Thani, 18 to call USA, AND 36 to call UK. Everything is a work in progress, and for some, it would be beneficial now.
  10. I doubt it will be available in TH any time soon, or even my lifetime. Took over a decade to break AIS's monopoly. Don't think the local servers want any more competition. Especially if better & less expensive. Current available service map:
  11. I can relate, as we travel around a lot, and usually to Nakhon Nowhere. This present O&A, one night we stayed in Lampang, and not even in the main. Went out for a munch, and we couldn't get close to the restaurant, let alone find a parking spot. 7-11 to the rescue The only place, city/tourist spot we'll bother with of late, is Krung Thep, and only because our daughter lives there and they have barely OK public trans. That's coming to a halt also, as she's moving to her townhouse at Rangsit. Even better, as now we can simply stay with her.
  12. Same as female / male scam marriages, there will be new male / male scammers out there. Imm will probably require nude sex photos to verify
  13. Careful what you wish for. Not being able to marry would have saved me from 3 divorces, though all amicable. No financial losses at all, since already poor & childless. Said same to wife last night ... she wasn't going for it. On topic ... it's a good thing, for those that need their life 'certified'. Not seeing any benefit for Thai / Thai union. Can't see Imm recognizing it, and foreigners getting Thai citizenship after 2 yrs of marriage. Guessing the 'law' states same 'sex', not imaginary genders.
  14. Could they / news blips at least use a photo that has some reference to the article. Not something 10+ yrs old of possibly an EPA / USA / coal mining blip.
  15. In case you don't know, generals don't take the same oath as enlisted grunts, and do NOT need to follow the orders of the Commander in Chief (president). Simply preserve the 'Constitutional' rights of it's citizens. All these divisive, distracting 'what ifs' as if they would actually happen ... but ... in the slight chance one might, from foreign or domestic, it's nice to have an armed population. Why the 2nd Amendment will never be changed.
  16. Holy Buddha ... this is what people watch and consider entertainment, satire, thought provoking content. Does explain the state of things
  17. Can only assume you think we live in a perfect, fair, free world, where things never go wrong and humans aren't the most disgusting animal inhabiting it. You really don't know what the 2nd Amendment is for then ... BYE BYE
  18. Obviously my comment went way over your head. You obviously haven't a clue what the 2nd Amendment is for.
  19. Possibly the opposite, as I understand it, the bump stock makes it hard to hit your target, if not an experienced shooter. Las Vegas guy is a testament to that. Low kill count might have been the result of using a bump stock, if any of that is true.
  20. Not everyone follows K pop stars, or news of, or cares. Would have been better to say the 'Hangover' effect, as most can relate to that. Or the old farts, JB Island / Khao Phing Kan, "“The Man with The Golden Gun” Leo & 'The Beach' ... those effects destroying nature, worldwide
  21. I've stayed in a few different versions of 'knockdown/prefab' houses, cabins of bungalow, which ever you wish to call them. Even shipping container, as hotel room. All were fine, limited space of course, since short term rental. But none were hot or excessively cold, any more than a brick & mortar. As sampled during different seasons. Could easily see a few connected for a proper house. One neighborhood behind where I grew up (USA), did up the whole street with modular houses. They arrived on flatbeds, 4 pieces, and put together in less than a month. Instant house, actually pretty cool, and if a bit ignorant with constructions, you'd never know. They're all still standing today, easily over 40 yrs old. Almost all modulars, so they will stand the test of time, if quality to start with. Container guesthouse, Nan, we stayed in. Another prefab, Phatthalung, we stayed in. A couple others, of course the wooden ones, nice, but I'd steer clear of those, due to termites.
