  1. And I'd say the same thing if car still under warranty, and battery needed replacement. And a dealer trying to get out of an expensive repair ... shock surprise. Why I rarely read this thread any more, or most anything of late. What ifs, fires, and not much to do with 'EV in TH'
  2. For the EV haters, that think you'll never get the rated range at speeds. Cruise control set @ 110, doing 109kph and usage is 13.4kWh per 100kms at that speed. Equates to 345 kms range in ECO mode Usage battery - 46.3kWh ÷ 13.4 = 3,455 X 100 = 345 kms NEDC range 403, we rarely get that around town WLTP range 320, at least get that, and usually more, up to 360 kms 'estimated' per charge. Bit blurry as screenshot off vid

  4. I have not intentions of driving through water in any vehicle. Simply will never have the need to. Did it once in Vios or Mazda 2 and had to replace the wheel bearings.
  5. The point of pointing out the £22k was ? or the whole post for that matter ? Not sure why that would interest me.
  6. They know we have solar, as asked & told so, when they gave us the digital meter (standard for new builds). So they know, and have had -0- unit bills & 100 unit bills. Want us to register, they have to knock on door and as. If not free, they can take the meter with them when they leave.
  7. Our system so far has provide just enough on truly crappy days. One or 2 days it took all day, to recharge the batteries, (two 10kWh for ttl 20kWh). Overnight we use 6-8kWh, 14 hrs of no production/excess for batteries. On a good day, it will produce 50kWh, when we really don't need more than 20kWh a day. Even on the hottest days, we average 30-35kWh. Panels will produce 9.7kWh (18 X 540w), inverter will put out 8.8kWh, or something like that.
  8. I wouldn't repair any vehicle for £22k / ฿1M, especially since over 8 yrs old. That takes a special kind of stupid.
  9. hmm ... think you may be correct. I never clicked on 'device', or if I did, there was nothing there. Now seems to have a few options. Will have to peek again later, although really don't need to do anything different. But interesting. THANKS
  10. In your dreams. And most that farangs are hooking up (paying for), they wouldn't touch with a bamboo pole. That last sentence is a bit telling ...
  11. Smart people, and hard to beat for knocking around town, or even O&A. Especially considering the made in TH, entry level ICEV aren't really that inexpensive any more. Starting at 600k, and topping out at 799k, except for the Nissan March. Suzuki is throwing in the towel, so scratch their Celerio, Swift, and couldn't even sell many Ciaz at a silly discounted price. Neta V @ 550k, usually on sale for 500k. MG4 @ 699k, and EP a bit more @ 771k. Low operating & maintenance cost, and simply plugging in at home. No more Q'ing up at petrol station. Haven't paid attention, but think some BYDs are in the 700k range. Gem just picked up the Atto 3, and really liking it. I'm actually surprised how many I see down here, for small town, and not the weekenders. Local folks, and full make/mode range, Tesla, Neta, MGs, & BYDs. An Ora Good Cat occasionally. Even a Fomm One, and just down the road from us. So far, just the MG dealer here. Have another at Hua Hin, along with BYD & GWM.
  12. Why open ? ... because you're an alcoholic and shouldn't drink & drive
  13. And they're paying for it also, as RU freed up Russians that no longer wanted to live under the coup/regime change of about 2014 onward. Decimated UA's military stockpiles, so they can no longer bomb border territories as they did in the past. It's a shame the west is continuing the proxy war, as both UA & RU have express the desire to end it.
  14. And you perhaps shouldn't generalize and state 'none' ... just a thought Just a guess, but I'm sure some EV Sparkys out there will be fixing packs as an after market/warranty service. Of course that's if ever needed, as 500k - 1 million miles/kms seems to be a reality with newer battery packs. We're expecting not less than 500k kms out of ours, if the rest of the car lasts that long, about 25 years, if we keep driving at 20k kms a year.
  15. I'm a denialist, and I have to admit, my last post about rising sea levels was wrong. Now I've seen the Gulf in lower than last time, which I thought it was the lowest. 23+ years of coming to Gulf a couple times every year, at different times of the year; Xmas/NY, Mar/Apr/May, Sept/Oct & June for HH Jazz Festivals, and this is the lowest I've seen. Scientist can spew all the funded BS they want ... IMHO But my eyes sure are telling me a different story. I know which one I believe. UP2U
  16. Playing 'devil's advocate', as stated, only watched part of the trailer. And get the gist, homo & bisexual a thing in the animal world, so normal, and so should be considered normal in the human world. No argument from me, as consenting adults can do what ever they wish with their bodies ... I do, and some people think I'm nuts. Curious though, did the doc touch on (doubtful), the incest in the animal world? How about inbreeding ? How about the raping of animals by same ? Along with gang raping, as seen that myself with dogs. Or the adults killing their young, so no competition later ? All quite normal in the animal world. Or maybe the spiders & praying mantis that kill their partners after mating. Good defense if arrested for rape or murder in the human world Surely a not guilty or acquittal in court. Cherry picking to fit the narrative ... never really work in real life.
  17. Repeating your ignorance doesn't make it so. That snapshot is from our 2022 MG ZS promo, and newest version of. Part of the reason we stuck with the ZS ordered, just before the Atto 3 became available, but didn't receive yet. ZS, EP and probably the ES, (since EP upgrade) are module. MG4, not sure, but think it is. Stuck with what we knew, since having the ICE version of ZS, and Atto 3 was all new to us. As I suggested, might want to actually Google info before typing on forums.
  18. Got a large plastic container or 3 full of warm weather clothes, for freezing weather. Brother coming over in Nov, so may take a suitcase full back with him. Depends how much excess baggage cost now of days.
  19. Wrong ... MG ZS, MG4 & EP/ES are repair/replace just the affected modules. Would imagine other makers using the same CATL batteries also can replace just the modules needed. Here's a few more tidbits you may want to Google before posting:
  20. Here's my thoughts on excess deaths, before & after vaccines were made available. IMHO ... sure does seem like they sky rocketed after vaccines were distributed.
  21. Apparently doing an excellent job also, with info at the time. Strange how in the vid, states the left wouldn't take the 'Trump vaccine' but the Biden administration mandates it after election, to people that really didn't need the vaccine (Young & healthy). Destroying many people's livelihood who didn't want the vaccine, from attending school & employment. While Trump doing excellent job, by shut down international flights, as soon as advised to, and were vaccinating 1 million high risk people a day, when vaccine became available in late 2020. Graph from CDD site, (as stated on the graph) and source linked here.
  22. Strange while searching, can't find any IP rating for BYD Blade batteries. Simply stating water resistant on most sites.
  23. Got to crawl before you walk ... worldwide unless having good connections. Besides, it's mandatory to do 3 years 'public service' , although that might just mean, they have privileges at both, govt & private hosp. as many do.
