  1. She has an identical twin. She costs 3000 Australian dollars. The guy has just signed a contract with a huge chinese adult doll manafacturer to do their photo shoots. Previously he worked as a carpenter and was unemployed during Covid.
  2. Something is going on...and in a systematic fashion...each day now the baht starts falling in value and then it is pumped straight back up and on some days by more than 2 percent. I have never seen such a pronounced saw tooth pattern in the currency pair charts.
  3. AUD/THB retesting 23 again today. I have been here a very long time and have never witnessed intraday swings like have been occurring in the last few months.
  4. Oh please. I lived in Phuket for over a decade and four of those were spent in Patong. Most of the guys posting on this thread would know me by sight. Anyone that denies the drains in the streets of Patong do not reek during high season is just delusional.
  5. Haven't got your head around doing your 90 day report online yet? PM me and I will talk you through how to use a computer.
  6. In relative terms I like to think of myself as broke. But I still have too much money to qualify for the OAP.
  7. Not sure of the exact percentage but it is at least enough people to cram every inch of Rawai with them.
  8. Yes, I had to double check the footage because I though it was just a rerun of a similar incident a few years back. Thai men are emotionally retarded. And it is getting worse.
  9. It is comforting to see things are slowly getting back to normal. Are there any photos of the close friend and carer from Mukdahan?
  10. If Russia is doing it so tough at the moment why is 5 out of every 6 tourists in Phuket at the moment a Russian.
  11. At first it was just to give fair warning to other members on this forum and especially the broke ones like you relying on the Australian OAP. But now my primary motivation is the joy I get from seeing you all bent out of shape.
  12. There is good debt and bad debt. Exposing yourself to bad debt via a credit card in order to build your credit rating might be a useful strategy in the West. Because then you might have a better chance to take on good debt to purchase an asset such as property. But here in Thailand no matter how well you manage your credit cards and how good your subsequent NCB credit rating is, there is still a snowball's hope in hell that the banks will offer you a mortgage in your name. So what is the point in trying to build your Thai credit rating if it never enables you to take on good debt?
  13. The AUD is toast. The RBA is already way behind on the interest rate curve and they will have to tread water for the first half of this year because some 40% of all mortgage holders in Australia are about to have their fixed interest 2% loans reset to 6-7%. Oh...and inflation has not peaked, it is just getting started. This is just the first wave, and yes it will wane a little moving into this year, but the second wave will arrive early 2023.
  14. My guess is entirely different from yours. In my opinion inflation will start to cool toward the end of this year but then there will be a second wave. As a result interest rates will remain high and for longer than most people expect. No sustained bull market this year or next, but rather, gut wrenching sideways down punctuated by a handful of bull trap rallies. The cash rate this year will be at least 5.2%. Why would anyone invest in the stockmarket when they can get a risk free 5-6% in T-bills. And, of course, lets not forget the risk that Biden continues to double down on his bromance with Zelinsky to the extent they try to take back Crimea, that, of course, would end with Putin launching a tactical nuke targeting the penisula to create a fire wall against the US backed Ukraine counter offensive.
  15. Can you please provide a rating for each of the restaurants in your post based on how noticeable the smell of sewerage is while dining.
  16. I have been on a number of camping trips with this guy. And I can confirm first hand he smokes, at least, four packs a day. His right hand is entirely yellow nearly up to his wrist.
  17. You are misquoting me. I did not say bargirls prefer men who can speak Thai. What I said is that they are less inclined to lie to me when I speak to them in Thai.
  18. In the wake of Covid my road trips down to Phuket were....pleasant.... No mini vans, no Chinese or Russian tour buses, and Thai driving at a reasonable clip. Took the GF down to Phuket last night for a birthday dinner. Departed my village about 4.30pm and arrived in Phuket Town about 6.30pm. Mini vans heading south into Phuket were thick on the ground...and all of them driving flat out and dangerously, weaving in and out of the traffic, driving on the foot path to get ahead a few spots in the traffic jams and cutting people off. Traffic jams at Sarasin, Thalang, Ko Kaew, and top of bypass road caused by tour buses. Thai drivers back to speeding and selfish me me me road manners. I was in Phuket for under 6 hours and I witnessed 3 seperate road accidents right in front of me (and almost one pedestrian fatality). 1. Cops pulled over pickup truck loaded with about 30 burmese workers in the back at the checkpoint at Sarasin. As the truck pulled off to the side a young girl in her twenties lept out of the back and fled accross both lanes of inbound traffic I had to swerve around her (I was on a bike) and the car behind me had to lock up the brakes and she just fended his bonnet off with her hand as she kept running. 2. Honda wave with husband and wife in their 60's had a woman in her 80's sandwiched in between riding 3 up. Quiet short cut back road into Samkong past the university. Traffic still flowing too fast. New white pick up truck ahead of me had to hit the brakes because a motobike pulled out of a side street without looking, and the 3 up oldies right in front of me plowed full song straight into the tailgate of the truck. It was all I could do to swing around the 80 year old so that I did not run her over as she sprawled on the tar mac. 3. German farang and his wife late fifties eating at our restaurant. After meal outside in parking lot that adjoins Chaofa road, wheels his rental bike out backwards onto the road while talking to his wife. Did not look and wheeled it backwards and straight out into path of oncoming car that clipped him and sent him sprawling on the ground in front of his wife. 4. On the ride home around 11pm, grab food delivery guy on motorbike t-boned by speeding pickup truck, didn't actually witness the crash but people were just milling around to provide assistance and pick the guys bike up off the road as we passed. Guy was in a bad way. Thais are dreadful drivers. But in Phuket they have had no practice for the last 2 years because of Covid. They are also back in selfish road manner mode due to the smell of high season money. Be careful out there. P.S. As an afterthought on minvan drivers I should also mention that when I pulled up at the PT gas station at Thalang so the the GF could use the toilet a minivan driver pulled up next to me where I was sitting on my bike. He was a twenty something weedy tattoed guy and he was twitching very noticeably...to the extent that he saw me watching him and tried to stop and when he couldn't walked around behind his van so I could not see him. Drug usage increased dramatically during Covid lockdowns. These newly minted addicts are now back out in the workforce.

  19. Can we include famous bargirl customer lies in this thread as well? I was in Phuket last night. The two week millionaires are now back on the ground the the <deleted> was flowing thick and fast.
  20. And so....back to my original point on this thread...how do you "talk to girls in real life" when you don't speak even basic Thai? Sure...some Thai girls that are not bar girls speak some English but those girls are educated and/or worldly and will show zero interest in a Singha wife beater wearing old, fat and bald farang. And yes, my mate wears wife beaters, I have told him repeatedly that just changing his wadrobe would increase his chances significantly but he just does not listen. He also asked me to tutor him in Thai but he gave up after four lessons. Just recently he had a girl, late thirties, about a 7 in appearance, genuine widower that he brought to meet me. She had zero English and he was communicating with her entirely using google translate on his phone. It was rather sad. The girl told me it was impossible and also she could not cope with his smoking. He smokes 4-5 packs a day.
  21. Thanks for the Novella. But the thing is all of the factors you have detailed in your post will not cause the baht to swing 2-3% in a matter of hours...and that is exactly what had been happening. Someone was buying huge amounts of the baht in a single purhcase. Who else would that be other than the BOT? There was also a tiny one paragraph article in one of the Thai rags a month or so ago where the BOT admitted that they had and will continue to buy the baht.
  22. Survey is flawed because it does not include the weekly fresh market as a primary option. Girls at the produce markets are often stunning but they are practical, good cooks, good with money, not pretentious and not coated in layers of makeup.
  23. You guys get lied to because you have not taken the time and made the effort to learn Thai. All bar girls lie but it is frankly amazing how much more candid they are with you when you speak fluent Thai. I have a good mate who is currently searching desperately for a partner. He is a heavy smoker and drinker, fat, ugly old, and bald. Over the last six months he has travelled all over Thailand from Non Khai in the North to Phuket in the South, Bangkok, Patts and Hua Hin meeting up with girls he has met online. He has met around a dozen or more girls on my count, maybe more I don't know about. He is continually asking me to act as translator because he has no Thai. It is downright depressing when I speak with his girls, they openly deride him and tell me they are just in it for the money. I do not tell him what they say because I have been here a very long time and have been down that road many times. He was off to Patong last night to meet another potential wife. I will have to call him to see how that panned out.
  24. Stayed tuned it has just dropped below 23 and is now on its way to 20. Those relying on the OZ OAP need to batton down the hatches. This collapse is just getting started. The criminals at the RBA do not even have an interest rate meeting in January so they will be even further behind the curve come February. The AUD is toast.
