  1. No condo allows short term (less than 30 day rental), simply because it's illegal. Some might turn a blind eye though. More than 30 days is always allowed.
  2. If it were 80% the luxury cars would probably be sold cheaper than they are now. Afaik it's 300%, which makes sense looking at the prices.
  3. The Thai manual of the current CX30 says at least 95 octane, so better don't use 91. Might of course be different for older models.
  4. No, you do the 90 day report at the local immigration office where you are staying.
  5. The tenant could just do it himself at immigration, he just the needs rental contract and copies of the house book and the owners ID card.
  6. Just because you did it doesn't mean they want it. I don't do it, don't get fined, got a certificate of residence, did an extension and 90 day report (at CM immigration), all with my old TM30 receipt. You didn't do a new TM30, upon attending immigration you presented your old TM30 receipt instead, and then got fined while being told that you had to do a new one?
  7. Which immigration offices fines people who don't "renew" their TM30 according to the updated rules?
  8. You live in Bangkok or Pathum Thani? If you live in Bangkok you do your TM30 and your extension in Bangkok. If you live in Pathum Thani you do both in Pathum Thani.
  9. Why did you go? It's not required. I'm using my old TM30 which I did a while ago (in the meantime I've also done extensions and 90 day reports in other provinces) in Chiang Mai to do anything at Chiang Mai immigration (so far: Extension, certificate of residence, 90 day report), no problems, so to me it seems they comply with the regulation, they didn't ask me to do a new TM30.
  10. The updated rules say that a new TM30 isn't required (if coming back to the same place, unless the person has a new visa), it doesn't say that they may not ask to see the old TM30. Sounds like in your case it was according to the new rules.
  11. Engine + gear oil is sold as set for 120 Baht or so. I think the older Clicks don't have a real oil filter, it's just some mesh thingy like in a Honda Wave, they just clean this. Air filter about 100 Baht Brake pads, assuming front is disc brake 200 Baht, rear 80 Baht Brake fluid 80 Coolant 50 Spark plug 150 120+100+200+100+100+50+150 = 800 for the parts, add 200 for labor, round about 1k yes If you get a "NGK iridium" spark plug, or 100% synthetic oil, you can of course also pay more than that, but imho that would be wasted money.
  12. If you are already at it also get a new spark plug. Should be less than 1k total. Just check tire prices on Shopee or Lazada, gives you an idea. Somewhere between 800 and 3k, depending on the brand.
  13. Probably not a blackspot, but too many people using True and the cell is overloaded. If you are now using 5G try using 4G or 3G instead, this might result in faster speed.
  14. Bus or whatever to Ubon and then flying Ubon - Bangkok - Phuket But looks like it's not possible to do this today. You will have to spend the night in Ubon or Bangkok, and then tomorrow morning to Phuket.
  15. I think Thailand produces more food than the people here consume, so prices might rise, but there won't be food shortages. Most people have enough fat reserves to survive a few months on reduced food intake anyway, some people years.

  17. Depends on the woman and their experiences. I think quite a few Thais just don't kiss, so if the girl only had Thai guys before she might not have much experience with kissing. Before dating with me, my girlfriend had two Thai boyfriends, that's her whole experience with men. She had completely no experience with kissing and I had to teach her. Now she still doesn't like kissing as foreplay, but when we are a few minutes into doing it already and she gets in the mood, then she initiates kissing and sometimes can't get enough of it.
  18. Check [ ] Show characters, then you see it in plain text.
  19. For me it shows the password of my wifi, what does it show for you?
  20. You can't transfer Thai Baht to wise If you scroll down on this page it tells you which currencies you can hold: https://wise.com/gb/multi-currency-account/
  21. In narrow streets, like for example Sukhumvit in Bangkok, for sure, sometimes you even get stuck there with a small bike. But big bikes are actually not as wide as some people might anticipate, you still fit through quite a lot of gaps. Filtering through traffic from Bangkok to Hua Hin is no problem on a bigger bike, so you will probably be faster than with a car. More like 2.5 hours. You can replace the clutch with a hydraulic clutch, makes it a bit easier. For regularly riding in city traffic a motorcycle with a manual clutch does of course just suck. If I would live in Bangkok but wanted a motorbike and not a scooter, I would get something like a Honda NC750X with DCT.
  22. Is his wife Thai?
  23. My regular bank account also doesn't pay any interest. The advantage of the money in the multi currency account is that I can instantly transfer to my Thai bank account if required, or any other bank account. If I send money from my German bank account to my Thai bank account through wise, it usually takes a day before the money arrives. When using the Wise virtual credit card it takes the money I have in this account and I can pay in any currency without paying a foreign currency fee. No really big advantages, but enough for me to keep a few thousand in there. Now I reduced this to less than 3000 Euro to not be charged any fee.
  24. The "Wise multi currency account" (was called Wise borderless in the past) works like a bank account though.
  25. Yes, that's what "negative interest" means. They will charge 0.9% per year for anything over 3000 Euro in your account.
