  1. I think MAGA people show great concern to those who don't like hot air. It's like warning - I appreciate it. Won't click.
  2. You didn't Google... 😉 S1 is application Form. "The S1 form allows you (and/or your family members) to register for healthcare if you live in an EU country (1) but you are insured in a different one." Card; "The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)"
  3. I have a question regarding long distance trains; Can you adjust cabin/sleeper temp by yourself? I plan to try trains and don't like too cold.
  4. Trump name has no value in hotel world. Never had very high and many faced law suits, like in Florida. In his NY Trump "flag ship" hotel he only owned kitchen and the garage.... https://edition.cnn.com/2023/11/13/business/trump-hotel-waikiki/index.html
  5. Yes, or near free IF he has earned EU Soc Sec card. Like I have to 27 states.
  6. You live in Torrevieja. 50km south of Alicante. If you live in Pattaya do you say "I live in Chon Buri?" Just try to help in new place.... it can be confusing.
  7. When did they separated?
  8. There is no free lunch in Spain.... or bread or tapas. You get them IF you buy a meal. Or sit on the counter and drink, then after a few, you get "free" tapas.
  9. Please, keep reporting! Thank you.
  10. Torrevieja is one of the cheapest decent place for retirees. It's famous for salt lakes. Many get help breathing salty air and bathing. It's 50km south of Alicante. Many retires are happy there. More upscale is Malaga and area south of it. Marbella is like Bevery Hills. I've been looking living there. Transportation is excellent. Train from Malaga airport to Fuengirola is fast and cheap. However, it's damp and cold for 4-5 months. Torrevieja even more so. Summers are too hot - over 40 C. The best weather is on Gran Canaria Islands and islands next to it. Prices 4x of Jomtien beach.
  11. Rompho market at two spots plus 10 ´places in Jomtien area. All day long. FRESH from grill too. That one looks like frozen & reheated.
  12. 407 THB is 10 meals for me here..... But in EU that's cheap. In many countries just a glass of vine is 10 e. How's weather? Torre is very popular for expats.
  13. Yes, he did. Many in south believed in him so much they voted TWICE!
  14. Same applies to Trump. Thanks! That may save our bacon.
  15. How do you do it if you don't read and understand Thai? To me license plate writing reminds more bird's steps on the beach.
  16. But the "Loose Cannon"* is loaded and cocked.... ready to fire. For confused, *a careless, uncontrollable person using poor judgment, whose unpredictable words or actions cause embarrassment or harm to others.
  17. They don't bother me but I use 0,10c ear plugs. Yes, some are loud and I see more and more wealthy looking Arabs on expensive bikes w loudest pipes. Thai kids don't have big bikes - no THB to buy them. They are not that loud. In the US Harleys can have straight pipes and cops say nothing. It's a birthright. How do I know? Well, I had two HDs with Vance & Haines Shorties. Awesome sound. https://www.vanceandhines.com/product/shortshots-staggered/
  18. To me 4am up is perfect! 4 to 6 best wind to walk 6-9km on Jomtien beach and Phra Tamnak hill. Now back to BangNa and no nice place to walk. Just ugly streets, no shade. But she's worth it every sec 😉
  19. Very important point! I don't know here but in EU they call Thai nose "socket nose" which is offensive and very rude. Many Thais there get their nose fixed and it will look better if you don't see nostrils. My current gf is very proud of her nose. She must have some farang genes. Her nose looks "European" and her neck is long and the way she carries her head is not a typical shy Thai. She doesn't know it, it's all natural. When I asked she said "I don't know my father" so there's an answer. I won't ask more. Doesn't matter to me.
  20. “We’re gonna have to have some hard decisions. We’re gotta bring the Democrats in and talk about Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare,” McCormick said. “There’s hundreds of billions of dollars to be saved and we know how to do it. We just have to have the stomach to actually take those challenges on.” https://www.yahoo.com/news/republicans-already-coming-medicare-social-172819868.html Well, YOU voted for him so let's see how you like it when the sheeet hit's the fan. .

    Bangkok parks

I guess so; We took the Yellow Line to Paradise Park Mall, then Bath taxi to the park. No way to get in w/o paying. The Yellow Line was interesting . NO driver! 100% automatic "Elon Musk experience". It's funny how many different names and spellings same parks can have in Thailand! It's same with street names etc. It just adds favor to be in Thailand. I like it.
  22. I noticed at Lotus they show their phones and walk out. Some App, I guess. I don't see any benefit 'cause they are so slow. Some don't have right stuff on the screen etc My App is THB = fast. When use CASH you don't shop blind. You remember how hard it was to get. Why do you prefer WISE card?
  23. Thank you all! Good info. Now I know all. e-Passport is same Biometric one. https://www.mfa.go.th/en/page/electronic-passport?menu=5e2013adaff2fd00c8267234 "Thailand e-passports have been issued since August 2005. The previous model of Thai passport before August 2005 is still valid until expired date specified in the passport and extension of the pre-model of e-passports is not allowed."
  24. Google shows "Temp Passports Kiosks" but only for renewals. Also, e-Passport only. What is e-Passport anyway? Where to get paper Passport? What's needed; Photo? What else? THB of course. I see good info in every country city but nothing in Samut Prakhan. Thanks.
