The place is not too big or small IF there were 1 or 2 workers who know what to do. One pro worker could check everybody's papers ON LINE outside. We were there 2 hours before getting in. If something's missing give him/her a number (to go & come back w/o new wait) and send them to go to get needed papers. Now, if something's missing or wrong, a person is wasting 1-2 hours in line before getting in and finding out. After finally getting inside, and waiting again, they check papers and give a number to "A" or "B" room. In the room an other person checks papers again and if all is OK gives a number to wait outside. In my case I didn't have a copy of passport's front & back page and was sent to "copying boy" outside the room to get them. There were a long line to him, an other 20min wait. The first guy who checked papers didn't catch missing passport pages... Then I was called in again, went to pay and give my passport to an other guy in the back room. Then back outside to wait processing. By now I've been there for 5 hours.... and it was an other 2h to get my passport back w extension approved. I may tell something wrong or missing but it was 35+ C and not enough water... I was getting dizzy. If I didn't have years of quality training in Van Nuys DMV (California Department of Motor Vehicles) I don't think I couldn't handle it. Luckily I had, training run by Russian Armenian.

It can be a big mess. I tried to help Thai women to collect inheritance in Sweden. They had lived as "Partners" in Thailand which in Sweden is like a marriage. He, Swedish man, did proper will at Swedish embassy with two witnesses etc. Everything by the book. She hired Thai attorney in Bangkok. Gave POA (Power Of Attorney) to take care of process. He stalled all, blaming Swedish attorney in Stockholm who was his connection and who he had given POA. I smelled rat and took her to Sweden. The attorneys there didn't let us to see them first. We couldn't even get into office because of electric outside door locks. I waited somebody getting in and used that to get into the office. Secretary was very nice, said "I go to fetch your attorney". I heard heated argument in the back room, she came back and said "I was wrong, she's not in. Please, send an Email and make an appointment." We left and went to the bank where money was. Her 10 yr old boy had helped to do banking and remembered the bank name. Same there; "We can't give any information or give money because the case in handled by the Swedish attorney." She never got any documents where assets are and how much. By the Swedish law she must get them. We contacted Swedish attorney by Email. She said; "We only work with Thai attorney who has POA." We didn't get an appointment. So she didn't get any money nor assets. Both attorneys blame each other. She gave up and clearly was scared of That attorney "They can do much bad..." she said. I wanted to go and see the s.o.b face to face but she refused. I believe similar scams are going on all the time! Best to have all assets in Thailand and give them out while alive. I took it much harder than she. I was hopping mad. Still am. She said: "Buddha remembers and Karma will take care of them." Wasn't that upset neither...

Haven't tried yet but I believe it's like 30-day in Thailand; just walk in. No paperwork. This was a copy of Thai system during Covid. The Vietnamese saw Thailand got lot of more tourists. Too bad Thailand didn't keep the same. Everything was working fine and extra tourists came in thanks to easy entry.
