  1. How can you tell that he has the same sexual peccadillos as yourself?
  2. Too bloody many!
  3. Across the street from 7/11
  4. Yes, he clearly knows how to handle a bike on a main road where, by some miracle, his cleverdickedness isn't being reckless and dangerous. Clown.
  5. Oh, so only 1% of motorbike riders are totally reckless, showoff dumbasses? Thanks, I feel so much better now.
  6. So why don't they make motorcycles with just a back wheel?
  7. Not for proper dads it isn't.
  8. Oh no... she DIDN'T, did she?!
  9. My old Montague folding bike needs new rubber. The last pair of Kenda's were fitted at a local bike shop maybe 3 years ago and the walls are full of cracks. Which brands are a balance of quality versus cost? On another topic. My bike has the rigid forks (see below), but the newer models have the suspension forks. How easy is it to upgrade? I looked into this last summer, and fork kits are available. Any recommended brands? I have the tools and abilities (and YouTube) to get the job done by myself.
  10. Totally agree on their quality of service and the price. Never had a bad or disappointing experience on rides to or from BKK to Pattaya. Yes, very good service.
  11. ...at 2 AM. As suggested, try booking ahead next time? I needed a 5 AM ride from a District 1 hotel in Ho Chi Minh City to SGN, usually a 40 minute/$8 fare during the day. I used Grab to book the day before and had a 10 minute/60c ride.
  12. All of the above but for me, the big winner is the VIP section in the basement.
  13. I stand corrected. My comment was based on another member's erroneous claim made on this forum when the arrests took place last month. That member stated it was SCB branch on Pattaya Klang when it was actually a Bangkok Bank branch on Sukhumvit. Either way, a can of worms has been opened.
  14. Just for info, my differing experience was about 18 months ago. TiT YMMV
  15. I fail to believe that anyone would fork out $230 for a fake watch. But he did so there you go.
  16. No more invasive than Apple or Microsoft these days.
  17. That will be interesting as foreigner's ID's have a different number sequence; either the start number, or the next batch of four digits flag you as estrangeiro. I recall trying to use my Thai ID number to register a DTAC SIM online, and it was rejected because it wasn't a Thai ID number.
  18. Yes works fine...might have to reposition your face in the circle sometimes. Yes it works, but it is best done with lighting that creates NO facial shading and a clean and clear background. Also make sure that the Wi-Fi access is fast, especially when you get to the winking/smiling/head-turning exercises. My friend was trying to enable his at the bank and after failed attempts at the customer service desk, the bank staff took him over to a better lit corner. Unfortunately, it also had a bank advertising placard in the background that had other people's faces on it, so was even worse. Eventually managed with a clear background.
  19. I will let my friend know and if I remember, report back if it looks like a 'universal' waiver expiration, or otherwise. Do you know if they have updated their app so that foreigners can do the 'face thingy'?
  20. If he can't afford a month in Phnom Penh, how would he survive a week in Bangkok?
  21. Reminds me. Has anyone else had issues with their AOL email on Netscape?
  22. It is quite strange that SCB chose to not implement the facial recognition feature in their app for everyone, like most other banks were instructed to do by the government. My friend has personal and business accounts with SCB and was hamstrung by this 50,000 baht limitation, especially on that latter account. He visited a branch and asked how he could get around this. They called 'head office' and the person he spoke with said he could get a waiver on his account as long as he "fully understood it was less secure, and he should think hard about it." He waited half-a-second and told them he was willing to assume the risk. Since he's had no restrictions placed on subsequent transactions, he assumes that they flagged his account in their system as being 'compliant'. He's been here (and in business) long enough to appreciate that it could suddenly all change or otherwise stop working tomorrow. TiT YMMV
