  1. Obviously not the jobsworth at MAN security. How about you? This was BEFORE the body scanner FFS. If it was a cyanide-laced, titanium shiv disguised as a skinny Vietnamese bamboo toothpick, I'm sure the scanner would have gotten me good. Sheesh...
  2. Anyone flown in and out of Heathrow on THAI recently? I have a family summer vacation and looking at the non-stop options. I know EVA does it and are cheaper and have a decent reputation, but I am only seeking RECENT experiences flying the 'Smooth as silk' airline. Thanks
  3. No issues with electric toothbrushes in hand carry through HKG or anywhere else for that matter. But last week at security and MAN, the chap refused to allow my stuff to go through the machhine, or me through the body scanner, until I removed the skinny Vietnamese bamboo toothpick from my mouth and put it in the bin. He said it looked (or made me look) suspicious.
  4. Let me guess here... you're an Aussie?
  5. Aha! So the OP may be an Aussie? Say no more!
  6. Furthermore, the most realistic, narcissistic and sociopathic expat community in all of Thailand. But maybe that's just me.
  7. Me too. Self-preservation is essential. I just don't worry too much about other people downgrading theirs.
  8. Whooops!...and then there were three!!
  9. They're not Mexicans. They are Guatemalans, Hondurans and Nicaraguans, etc.. My Colombian interior designer in the US took great umbrage at being frequently call Mexican. Gringo.
  10. Are you a speed reader too? No, and I'm not even a tourist, sorry to disappoint.
  11. Sorry, but incessantly whining clique of geriatric "resident tourists" still seem to have ALL the shovels.
  12. It's been good over six long flights (so far) in Jan - Mar, and the extra legroom is nice. It's always full BKK-AMS, AMS-BKK, AMS-PBM, PBM-AMS.
  13. I bought mine online 20 minutes ago, and I am in Suriname. 1225 baht. Moaners gotta moan, especially the ones that have no intention of flying anywhere except off their Thai handle (you know who you are).
  14. Possibly some confused Farage fanboys on this thread as well...
  15. I guess that's why all those dozy Reform fanboys are LEAVING the UK and propping up the bars here in sexparadise.
  16. Never known someone so tied up is semantics. Me too, and I am renewing both of them next month in the UK where, on the current passport application/renewal form, they do request that not only do you need to provide the concurrent passport information, but you must also submit it when renewing either of them. Since I am renewing both at the same time as a walk-in at one of their offices (time pressured), I won't need to send anything away. I will be providing letters from my employment agency to support these renewals, same as the original request and on subsequent renewals. Note that when I renewed them the last time, I did each of them one month apart at the old Trendy location in Bangkok. They only required a full (all-page) photocopy of the other concurrent passport included with each application rather than sending it to the UK, and they took less than two weeks for each renewal.
  17. While each day, she happily takes this sad old bugger to the bank. There's definitely a sizable chunk of dozy Englanders that reckon the sun shines out of Farage's arse. This guy is probably one of them.
  18. With the Brits happiness dropping and the Thai happiness rising, should be fun in about a dozen more years or so.
  19. Talking of vacuum jars, I was suspended from Peterhead Academy for sticking a hamster in one. It didn't take but a few seconds, poor bugger. Be careful out there.
  20. ...and the incessantly whining clique of geriatric 'resident tourists'.
  21. You're obviously one of the many farang worry warts, or you wouldn't be wasting time here questioning such trivialities.
  22. So, where are you proliferating now? Apart from on this forum, I mean?
