  1. And I never for a minute suggested that it was. But this isn't about playing nice.
  2. That's how most sports are played, attack your opponents targets while defending yourself from their attacks on yours. Are you anti-sport too?
  3. Absolutely spot on. We are not significant in any shape or form, to Thailand, never have been, and never, ever will be.
  4. In my particular happenstance, there were 8 or 9 belligerents, but I wasn't counting as I was absolutely bladdered. I've only ever done it twice. The first one wasn't the best (obviously).
  5. They are 'trapped and skint'
  6. I'm sure that both House and Senate minority leaders were in the loop when Trump decided to pull this trigger. Anyway, taking a leaf from Putin's playbook, Russia never declared war on Ukraine, they conducted a "special operation". Bombing three nuclear facilities in Iran was a "special operation", not a declaration of war (if you ignore his fiery rhetoric and bluster on Truth Social). Now, if this is a busted flush that does require the ongoing active involvement of US forces beyond 60-90 days, then I assume the whole congressional fandamily will get their five minutes of fame.
  7. Last century, while getting fitted for a suit at an old Chinese tailor's on Sukhumvit, down around Asoke, the old guy wanted to see my tackle. I naively obliged, and then he touched it briefly. He seemed quite happy with that, and I put it down to the language barrier and how Chinese tailors address the professional tailor's question of, "Which side do you dress to, sir?"
  8. Yes, and Trump's own chosen chief of the NSA testified in Congress only last March that there was no evidence that Iran was militarizing its nuclear endeavours. She hastily recanted within the last 72-hours or so. Maybe Tulsi will be the first to go under the bus?
  9. Iranian state television claims that the doors at Fordow were damaged so, unlike when the USMC kicked over a fruit stand on Grenada, we really don't know if this mission was a successful as claimed.
  10. This "my girlfriend is different" story brought to you by... Seriously though, countless foreign men have ponied up and thought nothing of it. Some have a successful and enduring relationship like yourself which speaks more for their fundamentally decent, broad minded and understanding human nature than many here see as male weakness. PS: My girlfriend (and wife and mother) of 18 years is different too.
  11. And it all ended happily ever after. Remember Playschool? Is this a "round window" story?
  12. It's rather dated and increasingly irrelevant too, but then again, so is the alleged friend of the OP. Is there a cheap novel about the farang who marries a respectable, professional woman, closer to his age, a teacher that he met in a dating website? He took care of the outstanding car note and paid-off around 50 k baht of his new love's "debt"...without realising that was just the interest on her remortgaged home. Since she was due to retire (mandatory) in a few years, she realised that her pension alone wouldn't keep her from the poor house (and a new car) so she pulled the time-served "bar girl" game. The best bit is she didn't even have to get drunk or naked, let alone have sex with the idiot for all these gifts to fall into her lap.
  13. But nobody here is talking about common Thai nicknames as written in the Thai language. Except you and @Maestro
  14. Ah yes, central Bangkok. Carry on.
  15. Yes you do. There are plenty of old ladyboys in Thailand. They don't just suddenly revert to being a bloke. Maybe you have to actually live in Thailand or possibly widen your horizons before this becomes obvious.
  16. Agreed. No therapy is needed when it's just your usual prepubescent or preadolescent curiosity. How parents these days allow themselves to be hijacked by this gender-curious nonsense is beyond me. Personally, I grew out of it when I outgrew my big sister's clothes and shoes.
  17. Of course you believe the right-wing populist media and the evidence presented therein by a pollster that got the 2024 election result right. I have no problem with that either.
  18. The troublemakers are in the Thai senate. They are easy to spot. They mostly wear yellow.
  19. Have you noticed how images of Buddha in Thailand have bigger faces than images of Buddha in Cambodia?
  20. Because the top international schools in Thailand have a lot of white European (and American) teachers.
  21. Or she could simply be, like myself, numerically dyslexic. PS: I'm a retired white European (who doesn't do X)
  22. So, about the same as all these white European janitors that have retired in Thailand? You know who you are.
  23. Ah yes, the polls. They have always been a safe predictor of results, regardless of what happens in the interim. But, as you correctly point it, it is simply my suggestion, and it differs from your opinion. An opinion which I have declined to label as 'Nonsense'.
