I can't agree more!!!!! 616 million got COVID (mental stress, sick, worry) and over 6,500,000 people died and didn't have a chance to enjoy a few more sunsets, sunrises, laughter, life.....cut short as people said, "who cares, they are old!! What did I learn from COVID? LOS helped tourists with the COVID visa, while other countries went crazy. Americans didn't care, a million died, and still didn't care too much. Auzzies seemed to care too much. UK seemed to care, then had some parties, not really sure. Brits never can figure out the fact that Americans really don't pay must interest to news over there. China remained silent, then cities of 10 million went into lockdown like crazy Once you got the vax, no worries. Many people got poor, nobody wants to talk about it. Income inequality widens, this is the Game of Thrones. helpless as a falang.................so I must buy the 20 baht noodle soup and help the local economy!!!

Because of the cooler weather, I'm seeing packs like never before. Hey, cold weather, let me get outside earlier!! dogs are thinking the same thing. Maybe if I go out for an hour I see 30 dogs, maybe 40. If really hot, maybe half that. Ideally, zero. In Chiang Mai, I remember less dogs. My mind is going. The overnight van trips... It's been many years. Maybe I've done six, or eight. Once I got hurt, trying to sleep and sudden braking....went flying into some metal part in the van. well, i shouldn't be lying down, so i blamed myself. but after I really woke it the driver was like an F1 driver in the middle of nowhere during a light rain in the mountains. definitely super dangerous and the "adventure" "fun" factor wears off on your first trip around 11 p.m.

Plus, the trains are relatively empty now so it's easier to see the criminals. forget if there are dogs.....i don't think so. Last time at a train station I saw two falangs tattooed up, face to foot, man and woman, white hair and both wearing short shorts and wife beaters, walking in a downpour over the tracks without an umbrella. I went for my phone for a picture, but they disappeared behind a train. that wasn't suspicious, just your typical falang in LOS enjoying nature....lol

I've met some Euro backpackers who had OK English and I think we could talk about most subjects. The problem, ironically, was they were so brainwashed with YouTube America that they weren't clever enough to think in another way. Better than nothing, until it wasn't. IQ test is a start. Has to be over 100, hopefully over 110. If a "bad" test, over 120 or 130. Some tests are really easy. Intelligent to her might be irrigation in the fields and to you it might be WW2 North African tank battles...... who knows. that's another thing. Thais don't really tell you their passion as much as the falang. Philosophy....well, that's cultural. You really know Buddhism sayings, and this particular kind of Buddhism. It's horrible but I've learned ALMOST never to get involved. I've seen some bad stuff and kept walking. try Facebook Chiang Mai used stuff.....used something.......there are many used groups will find some bikes that might fit in your price range. probably need a chain, cassette, lube, maybe a new RD, ... In Chiang Mai tons of places but some are rather expensive. I'd guess a fix on both bikes might be around 4000.......UNLESS you really don't care if you destroy the bike, then just ask for a service and give them a max price. hopefully they only fix what MUST be fixed, and you can ride and keep ruining your gears and stuff but that would be the cheapest. too hard to really tell with these pictures
