  1. cant you stop drinking constantly why dont you go brew some green tea and do something healthy for once why cant you be a man and take care of yourself you dlob oh yeah and stop eating meat and smoking and whoring and do something productive with your life like find a job have you even looked for work today?
  2. i gave up lifting weights at about 50 years old. no muscle gains and body fat increasing much faster, so why do it? if you're over 50 looking for muscle gains is it worth it? or maybe you just like a tough challenge (but no need for testosterone for that). swimming, bike riding, rowing now. still on a strap water rower though, and not a magnetic one like the really old guys use for flexibility 😅.
  3. the first think the officer would look for is if you are on overstay. you need photo's of the whole passport including stamps on your phone. including prior stamps, everything. that way you are not pulled into the station for any reason. if you get detained it opens the door for other things going wrong so is best avoided. no big deal. it takes a couple minutes. i even have pictures of the 90 day reports and tm30.
  4. yeah, for an overstay they need to get there 4 hrs early. they need to sacrifice that time just in case. that means getting up early and taking care of business. since international flights are what now, 3 hrs suggested?, maybe they can do a generous 4 hours. sorry if it means a quick english breakfast that day.
  5. i think the usa does a repriation loan for the airfare, if you're a us citizen. have heard these cases before. not sure what ever happens to them as there is typically no follow up in the news. a good reason to always have a credit card somewhere with 20k baht on it i guess.
  6. don't they work it off with time in detention, like 500 baht a day?
  7. that's where my neighbor was who liked the wine & a/c. went to portugal after that. last i heard he was back in the usa. he had huge electric bills from the a/c. got mad when i hung out my laundry to dry (he saw the hanging clothes as low class). he hung out and ate at the same foreigner friendly eatery in town almost every day. did not see him as a match for thailand. it was always kind of a struggle for him. his initials are m.p. sorry to compare you to my neighbor.
  8. what happens if they don't pay the fine?
  9. how long have you lived in thailand and where?
  10. have you considered seeing a plastic surgeon? your picture looks terrible. tough job for them, wouldn't want it.
  11. Where in the center?
  12. yes, i have. can you post a picture?
  13. I have several home country bank accounts and debit cards in case that happens. If a debit card is blocked, I transfer money within the Usa and I move to the unused account. That would give me time to maybe setup a thai bank account if i needed to. Btw transfers to a thai bank account in my name from my home country bank account i dont see as a problem. its when i start transfering to other individuals in a foreign country that i get worried. one of the reasons i never setup a thai bank account is because of the reporting to the irs. i did not want that. would rather just have it appear on paper that i'm on extended vacation. how did you solve the problem when the atm stopped giving out money?
  14. if i'm happier i have happy memories and do enjoyable things. if i'm grumpy i stay in the house and don't create happy memories, just grumpy memories.
  15. I'm talking about my United States account. I never got a Thai bank account. International transfers are red flags in the Usa, you may get away with it, but I'm not interested in causing waves. Cash out of the atm like I'm on vacation and still living in the Usa is the way to go.
  16. where i live does change me. if it's a pleasant place, i'm happier. if it's a dump, i'm grumpy.
  17. i had a similar situation where they would come under the gate and killed a couple kittens. i got pissed off and threw a couple rocks one day with the intent to maim or kill and they never came back after that. i would never do that however unless they drew first blood.
  18. so you moved somewhere you prefer. that's the same thing i'm looking to do. what's the difference? obviously there were some negatives at your old place and it was not all hunky dory or you would not have moved. you focused on the negatives at some point, admit it.
  19. Well, i won't do it from my usa account. i get cash out of the atm and deposit into landlords account. the banks are already very strict about addresses on the account and expats have been reporting frozen accounts for no reason.
  20. if the landlord wants to be nitpicky photo's would not help anyway. what they say goes, and they probably knew the condition of the unit before you moved in. the pictures and lease are only good enough for those who want to pursue them in court. many people don't understand this.
  21. complain anyway. you don't have to do what they want.
  22. maybe if you are using cash. if you are transfering money bank to bank it can be a red flag for a frozen account.
  23. i don't think they work out often. the lady usually ends up finding a younger guy. the reasoning being, they want to be taken care of rather then the other way around.
  24. So why are you here, everything you needed was in your head back in your native country 🤣.
