  1. Except that the exam is almost always rushed. Ever try waiting to respond for 10 seconds to blink a few times? Or ask to see the previous slide more then once? You can feel the frustration when you do this from the Optometrist. With a kit like this I could really nail down what I needed and take my time. I'm not sure about the lenses purchase though, if it would require a signed Rx or not. I know contacts in Thailand do not, they can be purchased on lazada.
  2. I hope somebody shows up to fly a lantern. It's pretty bad out there now.
  3. What more reason do they need? The red stamp thing is a concern and may look weird getting into other countries as well. Many countries have discretion at the border on how long you stay and it could look like a problem.
  4. I never noticed it at that particular place, it's usually smaller places where it happens. It always feels like they are trying to get you to return again. Maybe a good suggestion is to just act like another customer and not play the owner role. It's an old school thing from the Lawrence Welk days, greeters, and schmoozing is a skill that's hard to master. I stayed at the Lawrence Welk resorts some time ago and they had people who did this during meals, or anywhere really, but it has to be done just right or it comes off wrong. Also, tailored to each person and their responses. Almost like being an actor or a game show host.
  5. I don't like places where the owner comes out and schmoozes. Feels weird, like I need to say how great things are, etc. In fact, I stopped going to a place where this happens regularly. I can always tell when it's the owner and not a customer, they have a certain mannerism and vibe. I understand how it's their place and they don't want to just remain in the kitchen all day, so I respect it, it's just not for me.
  6. The slip does not mention arrest. Seems like there are other rules out there, just to make others aware.
  7. You may want it to be that way, but that's not what the slip says. If you think it's a typo, they are still asking 5k, not 4k, suggesting it's not a typo on the 2k.
  8. This says it's 2000 per day late, not 2000?? Is that correct?
  9. All the time. They don't know how to do security in thailand. It's always "off".
  10. Usually masturbation. I think sexual relations are frowned upon since it would interfere with professional interactions amongst the crew. This is a serious job, similar to military. Males can stroke in their private space and females can stroke themselves. I'm sure there is some fantasy ideation amongst the crew being in such close quarters. Once every light year or two I'm sure the bathroom boogey happens from behind (anal), but it's probably a quick deed, then back to work. She only lets him have it often enough to remember what he's missing, maybe once every two months. It's called "coddling". By the time she lets him have it it's over before it started. As far as condoms go, she does not require them. In space nobody can help you conceive (or hear you scream). Hal, are you there?
  11. Not when you get older. It's less of an issue. 😀
  12. These taxi's are dinosaurs. They will soon be replaced by ride hailing apps where the routes and fares are monitored. Sad in a way, but that's progress. The human component will be phased out and it will be more just interacting with your cell phone.
  13. Right, if you don't/can't pay they can take the property I assume. Who knows if someone would get the difference back or how long that would take. Same with bank accounts, the entire account could be frozen while they diddle around figuring exactly how much is owed.
  14. Does it cover an enlarged prostate?
  15. Of course, if somebody was really gay and just not realize it, it would work, as long as a suitable partner was found.
  16. Yeah, also everybody needs help as they get older, either from medical issues, mobility, whatever. At that point you are forced to rely on someone, unless you just pass suddenly, and if the trust has not been established you end up getting ripped off financially, abused, etc. I guess you could do it through friendships like Scuba says he does now, but most guys would likely shy away at a certain point of responsibility. One reason being that it's not usually an intense deep intimate relationship if you're heterosexual.
  17. You're misinterpreting my posts.
  18. You're projecting. I never said that. You need to own why you think that and transform it into a positive.
  19. Ok, I'm happy for you.
  20. Some guys do find fulfillment just being single and having physical release. I suspect it's rare though as you get older. It takes a special kind of guy. The problem is that the longer you live that lifestyle the harder it is to develop a "meaningful" relationship. It kind of sucks you in so you give up or just don't have those skills any longer, or just get too old to bother.
  21. But probably lonely. Short times but not really connecting with others in a meaningful way?
  22. Sounds like you are fishing for a reason to not be a landlord or rent the place out. Could be a territorial mindset (you looking in, frequent thought rumination, etc) or an envy problem that they are doing well (you mention their other businesses, etc). I would say it's envy most likely. You feel like you need to protect what's yours more, because of the threat of them doing better and symbolically taking what's yours. Related would be wanting to increase the rent because they are doing so well, so what is theirs becomes yours in a way.
  23. Did it cure the condition or do you have to stay on the diet?
