Most people can't do roadtrips every day. That leaves the corner bar for a lot of people.

I went out today and people were more rushed and stressed out then ever (probably due to the crowds & traffic). I'm glad somebody is having a good time though.

I pretty sure street stalls and restaurants are using bottled water for free water and not tap water. It would be unheard of to be using tap water for that. When I say bottled I mean the kind that is delivered in the large jugs. I would bet the free water machine has filters on it as well. I can't see that being pure tap water.

What's the problem? That's for wiping your arse in the lavatory, not a napkin. They just put it on the table so each customer has their own roll.

Could also be a way to generate fines. It would be easy for local police to fine a handful in any crowd and supplement their income as the economy gets worse. It's all about the money usually.

You are missing something here. It's not traditionally a water fight. The traditional way is to pour a bowl of water gently down the back. Nobody is drunk or tossing water.

A lot of it is just rice. A plate of rice or bowl of noodles with a small side of protein of your choice with minimal vegetables or basil added. The non-rice part seems to be getting smaller and the rice part larger. Maybe a cost saving measure. No wonder people eat so many times a day, it's just quick carb energy.

Because we are focusing on israel now, not other locations or past wars. Your attempt to deflect attention from war crimes happening now has failed.

Another point, if you don't know the language or are not familiar with the system, most everybody would just pay what is billed, or have it taken from their retirement account. I think most foreigners would just do that anyway without even bothering to file a return and keep track of it all.

They send in special forces for a surgical strike, not bomb the entire country. It's not rocket science.

Drinking is much worse in south east asia.

It's going to be all over Bangkok, just like New York City would be in the Usa. Bangkok is a huge crowded city and a traffic nightmare. Thai's are not immune to violence and frustration, even if they are able to crack a weird grimace in some situations.

Be very wary of fake online reviews. They are rampant here. Post anything dental related you can see them posted within a couple days. People are also afraid to post critical opinions because of the defamation stuff.

They leave the soi dogs alone here from my understanding (at least it goes unreported).

Correct. Things don't get reported easily here. Even bad service reviews risk a lawsuit. It's disgusting the whale can't see through the smokescreen after many years in Bangkok. Sounds like the whale did not learn much from his stay, missing out on a major lesson. In the Usa almost everything is in the open and reported. Free press or closer to it.

Why risk it? Singapore banks are much more stable.

More civilized? Christian morals? Gentleman's duel?

I wonder how many of these tourism stories are fake news. They read like the fake medical & dental tourism reviews that trick people into thinking other people are going, when in reality it's just window dressing and a nice picture or lobby. A way of getting people's attention so they are more likely to show up and follow what others are doing. It does not seem like much for just one story, but when they keep getting posted everywhere constantly at different places it changes people's perception of that business or location.

I get that feeling also. People are being fooled by fake reviews around medical tourism in Thailand. Many places now offer discounts at check out for 5 star reviews. I have had several experiences with places I researched and looked great, mostly dental related. Then when I had work done it was shoddy. The quality is not there, it's just an outer window dressing and a clean lobby. My suggestion, a quality place in the Usa (if you can afford it).
