Puerto Vallarta was the only place I liked in Mexico enough to settle there. Lived there maybe 6 months total in a nice house on the hillside. If could afford a decent place there I would probably never have come to Asia at all. Like anything else, you get what you pay for. Water is crystal clear & clean. Beaches are great. Air is clean. Just slightly under USA/California pricing for rentals though when I was there years ago.

I only go into women's salons in thailand for haircuts. The guys get it wrong every time.

There was some guy selling all his stuff on here who did a thread on here a few years ago and I asked him why. He said the same thing, basically that the Thai's were not happy. Said he was moving to the virgin islands I think or something like that where he could get a visa. It always worried me a bit but I can see his point now. I think covid did something to the place in terms of people's general mood. It all started going downhill right when covid hit, or maybe even a little before it hit.

Where are you planning on living in Mexico? If you don't know and just wandering around on your own that's not a great idea.

I only do star only reviews and ratings with no written commentary. If there is no star rating system then just comment on number of stars given, 3 out of 5 stars, or whatever the case may be. Saying why does not really matter anyway, nobody cares about the particulars of an experience as they would not be repeated exactly for each customer.

I doubt you would be happy long term in Cambodia. There is squat for all to do there, even in PP and SR. It felt like I was living to just kill time when I lived there a year.

It does not matter. There is always going to be somewhere else to go and it will be pretty much the same after a few beers wherever you find yourself. You are bringing yourself with you no matter where you are. I wish you the best, man, in all your future travels.

Yeah, I did the TM30/90 day report stuff just for the residence certificate and bank account. With the O-A visa I don't think you even need to do the 90 day (although you are supposed to). One guy said he just left free and clear at the end of the O-A and skipped immigration stuff completely while he was here. I don't think it matters for the 2nd year stamp in either, though not positive.

Actually, there are many on this board who do. Any mention of the central area they appear about how great certain areas are that have nothing to do with nightlife and how great their quiet area is.

No filming requests are just that, a request, and don't have to be honored legally. It's a public space.

What's cringeworthy about it?

I do to swim, but I don't like in when there are other people in the pool. It makes me think people are peeing in the water. I also don't like swimming when people are lounging around staring at me swim.

I used to stay on a rural property where the fence was built well back from the property line, maybe 20 feet. That way people could not even approach the fence. The "no mans land" between the fence and property line had no trespassing signs posted. Solves the problem over fence disputes I guess. It's worth the sacrifice of space if you have the land. You can also use a see through fence. Even with all that I still had morons approaching the fence occasionally and trespassing as if the rules did not apply to them 🤣

Do you need to give your name and address for an abandoned vehicle complaint? Maybe give a false name and address? Unfortunately, he knows who you are now. Better to just do it officially from the beginning especially if he looked weird and/or not friendly.

It's about the owner of the car, not his brother. If the vehicle owner is a blank the only thing you can do is call parking enforcement. He is not required to move it unless the authorities make him move it or start ticketing the car to force it out. Don't make it personal. The minute he moves it or it's moved for him, come in with another vehicle and park it there. Will be a two step process moving your parked vehicle a bit every time you need access to the driveway. If it's not moved at all and the authorities don't intervene you would need to park on the street.

I would not touch the bank accounts. In my country a court does a probate and if they see any withdrawls after the date and time on the death certificate they know. A court clerk also searches for any possible unknown relatives and also creditors have a certain period of time to come forth with anounts due.

Yeah, there's some scam with this. I booked a bolt and the car with the license plate was waiting, but another vehicle pulled up and did the ride. The two drivers knew each other. I still was only asked for the app listed fare however.

I bought one of those male phermone perfumes when I was a teenager. They had these info commercials on TV all the time where you call in to order. I remember wearing some to high school. First just a little, so all the women were not following me around, then a tad more next time. My confidence shot way up, so smells may help, but not the way you think.

It challenges the poor me thai mentality where foreigners are expected to pay for everything and be much wealthier. It's going to be a serious breach of etiquette for a lot of thai's. How long have you lived here? Your comments seem naive like you don't understand Thailand.
