I respect the guys who can sit alone more then I do guys who are buying other people drinks. At least there is some dignity there. Everyone knows buying other people drinks in pattaya is Bs. They are not gaining any respect doing that, just fake smiles and looking like a chump.

You're probably better off getting it done locally, unless you are out in the country somewhere. I went back and forth to bangkok for an involved procedure when I needed a specialist and it becomes difficult and tiring when you need several sessions. The cost of transport and lodging needs to be considered.

I have just been going in for cleanings at various places. If I don't like the dentist I just never return since they don't do serious work on the same day, typically. One place wanted to do a 1k baht x-ray battery before I even met the dentist. How would they know I needed the x-ray without even looking in my mouth? I could have had perfect teeth. I just walked out.

It's not so much where they are, it's the people around Pattaya. They are working with people who don't have a lot of self control. That's what hedonism is. People who don't want to or can't limit sensual pleasures. The further out from the Central area you go the less you will encounter them. So they are around people acting kind of goofy, angry, overly emotionally happy, whatever, and not very stable. Most people trying to live a normal working life won't be happy with such people because it's very irritating and draining to deal with them.

A lot of people would not buy anything if they were being charged to sit down to drink it.

Isn't there a website around with the regulations? Seems kind of crazy to not know or guess about what you need to do.

That's my understanding. Gold is much softer then ceramic. Gold flexes with the tooth better and is less likely to cause or worsen cracks. Ceranic is hard, but unyielding, so the tooth must give way to the material more resulting in a higher possibility of cracks or grinding into nearby teeth as the teeth shift over time.

It feels like a lot of places in Pattaya are rushed or that there are too many customers to handle. I can feel it when I go in. One thing I don't want rushed is dental work or the next person waiting out in the lobby for the next appointment.

The low prices quoted for root canals (10/15k) etc are only for base uncomplicated cases. The price goes way up for re-doing old root canals, use of microscopes, ultrasonic cleanses, etc etc. You don't typically know the total cost beforehand.
