  1. Agoda and other agents have a quota of rooms often for the whole year. One hotel told me once that it is not allowed to offer the Agoda reserved rooms directly because they are reserved. My guess is that in your case that of the Agoda reserved rooms there were only 3 available. Another time I saw the price at Agoda but went to a hotel directly. Surprisingly the hotel price was more expensive. The receptionist told me to use my phone and book at Agoda, which I did to be able to check in immediately for the lower Agoda price. My experience is that sometimes Agoda or booking.com are cheaper and other times not. Agoda has good deals if you book just 24 hours or less before arrival. And at Agoda you can collect points of I think 10%value of the booking price, that means you will get credit back. If you have enough points you will get a free night.
  2. I would say for shops with expensive equipment and average coffee it is mostly related to the beans used. And for beans everyone has a different taste. And some shops like Starbucks might use ok beans but fill in too much water. I seldom go there, last time I told the staff to fill just 50% of the water and this was the first time I had a good Americano in Starbucks.
  3. I am sure my grinder from Italy for 12,000 Baht with 37 different grind sizes to choose from is excellent for all brewing methods even if I do not need all these 37 options. I also own a cheaper one for around 6,000 Baht which is ok just for coffee press and filter. It cannot be used for an espresso machine. I own a matching espresso machine from Italy and that's why I know how important a good grinder is. The espresso grind size is used also for americano.
  4. You most probably never made a real espresso in your life. It is not possible with your grinder for 250 Baht. For coffee press or maybe even filter coffee your grinder might be ok, but not espresso.
  5. I have never seen a cheap grinder able to grind fine expresso. Grind is usually uneven and as I said not fine enough for an espresso machine. And a 250 Baht grinder is probably a blade grinder, the worst of all because of uneven grind.
  6. Medicare is US specific. There are lot's of other countries without that system in place.
  7. I personally doubt that the average retiree has around 1,781 USD income per month. The real figure is much lower than that. And you have to take health insurance or other medical expenses or self insurance into account.
  8. My previous Citibank account showed up in the UOB app today. I had accounts at both banks. Transfer was done automatically today in my case. The UOB app is named UOB TMRW Thailand.
  9. On top of Phu Taboeg mountain in Petchabun should be cooler. It is the highest point in that region. I went up there many times and always found it to be pleasant.
  10. Malinois are great dogs used in military and police. However absolutely not recommended for private households. They are extremely energetic, fearless and not easy to handle.
  11. A 62-year-old man from Germany has, against medical advice, been vaccinated 217 times against Covid, doctors report. The bizarre case is documented in The Lancet Infectious Diseases journal. The shots were bought and given privately within the space of 29 months. The man appears to have suffered no ill effects, researchers from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg say. 12. The interesting thing is that while those airports do exist some of them do not have flights, at least not for passengers.
  13. Just a thought. It might be just a coincidence, not caused by Melatonin. Where did you buy it, it might not be Melatonin at all because this side effect is not really known.
  14. Bands like bodylastics are great. Be careful however about the cheap copies at Lazada. They do not last long and can hurt you when breaking. The sets at Lazada often cost the same as a single good band from a reputable company. Good and expensive bands can last years. Just to mention.
  15. The app itself does not suck but as everybody can post videos there this results in a lot of rubbish. And I agree about the comments about the mentioned new experts showing off. But the app is great and useful once you figure out how to correctly use it and let the algorithm show you what you really like. There is something for everyone to find, for example cooking recipes, athletes and actors, science, history, entertainment, basically everything. You should register once and mark your fields of interest. Once you start to give likes and follows the algorithm will bring you lot of similar videos and you will be mostly shown only items you like. And important, if a video sucks, do not watch it through, otherwise the algorithm noted your interest. I even started to date a pretty girl who found my attention (no, I will not give you the link to her videos 😄).
  16. I would not believe what the girls in Nana say about their real education.

  18. This is not correct. The 50 Baht AIS card can connect to the Internet if mobile data is enabled. And to do it cheaper you have to buy a data package from AIS for the existing card.
  19. If you have a smartphone you do not need a new Sim card. All Sim cards can be used to access the Internet. What kind of Sim card are you using?
  20. You seem to live in another Bangkok than me. 😁
  21. You can file it online again without problem. But try to find out if something was missing. It happened to me before and there was a very minor error on my side.
  22. I am also owner and occupier. I did my 90 days report online about 1 month ago without any problem as usual. My last TM30 was years ago.
  23. These better options do not exist on domestic routes to most destinations except maybe major tourist areas. But yes, you get what you pay for, I do not really have any other complaints.
  24. I had a similar problem last year. When booking a flight the app was frozen during payment. The flight was not to be found in my bookings, so I repeated the same process again. The result was that there were 2 booked seats with my name on the same flights. It was not possible to contact Air Asia except via useless chat bot. On my flight date I went to Don Mueang to the Air Asia office. The charming staff members were very helpful and cancelled the double booked flight and explained that I will be refunded within 2 weeks or so. The refund was just a small part of what I paid, my guess is that I was charged an administrative fee for the cancellation. Otherwise I use the airline often and do not have any complaints. To contact a human being is however quite impossible except you drive all the way to an airport.
