  1. Yes, plenty in the North of Thailand. Mostly smaller growers in the mountains. Robusta growers are mostly in the South.
  2. Yes, smaller growers have limited production capacity it is sold out quickly. And for the latest harvest it usually takes several month of waiting time to pick the fruits, clean and dry them before they can be roasted.
  3. According to my knowledge the only legal IPTV providers in Thailand are the local ones like True ID TV, AIS Play.... The international ones offering live TV from other countries are not legally registered and have no license to operate here. This is why payments have to be done to private accounts or paypal. Despite that some of them work very well and are reliable, others are not. And yes, PulseTV is known to work well.
  4. -there will be a 10% automatic withholding tax on dividends, tax ID is not required neither tax filing -it is not perceived as working and is not visa related and my guess is you will you also not be trading all day long by investing in stocks
  5. Comprehensive insurance plans can cost several times more in older years. As this article is for retirees the quoted figures are way too low.
  6. I made an appointment with Dr. Suntchai because at BNH he is the specialist for Rezum procedure and urological surgeries . I went there to get a second opinion about my case. My prostate had a size of around 50 gr and he considered me as a not difficult case. I mentioned previously that I also had intense pain while sitting on chairs or other hard surfaces for several days (beginning on day 3 after the procedure).
  7. I can only guess the meaning of this strange question......My answer is that there are not any side effects detectable from my side, everything is in good working condition ????????
  8. I would like to post my update regarding my experience with Rezum . It has been 1 months since the procedure and 2 weeks since removal of the catheter. After removal of catheter urine flow was weak with burning pain and quite some bleeding for several days. I wore adult diapers during that time and the diapers had to be changed twice daily because of all that blood. During the first few days there was nagging urgency and frequency to urinate often. Within 8 days bleeding had stopped and frequency/urgency was very manageable. Urine flow had improved considerably, already stronger than before Rezum. Today urine flow test was done and it was good, doctor Suntchai said it was like textbook and further improvement should gradually come within the next 2-3 months. Most of his patients come to complain during the first few weeks because after treatment the prostate is swollen and usually leads to more severe symptoms than before. This was not the case for me. Overall I am pleased since the end of week 3. Risk to keep in mind for a while are possible infections because the prostate is still inflamed and it is easy for bacteria to enter the area. And in rare cases the inability to urinate, mostly caused by the inflammation in combination with infection.
  9. I had the Rezum precedure in Bangkok at BNH and the doctor told me it is not advisable to travel after that for a few weeks, even if it only an outpatient procedure. There is a risk of an acute urinary retention ( unable to urinate) for some time after the catheter is removed. In this case it is a medical emergency and you cannot just walk into any other hospital. Other doctors might refuse to help because of legal liability problems if they know you had a surgery elsewhere in case something goes wrong. Also few doctors in Thailand have any knowledge about the Rezum procedure and might refer you to the hospital where you had it done.
  10. According to google you might try this (i will try as well as I changed my phone recently) What to do if you lost your phone with Google Authenticator | Kaspersky official blog Transfer Your Google Authenticator Accounts Every Time You Switch Phones - CNET
  11. The get the exact required pressure is often difficult because of unstable water pressure in the building. In my case the pressure changes from minute to minute even the valve position is exactly the same. I have so far not seen an adjustable hose itself, the valves are normally located at the wall near the toilet.
  12. I would also like to share my experience with Rezum precedure done at BNH hospital. I was in and out of the hospital within exactly 4 hours. During the procedure (Cystoscopie plus Rezum) I was not awake and catheter was in place when wakening up. I almost immediately experienced some discomfort because of the catheter whenever moving. The good thing is really that the treatment is outpatient and I could return home and was able to walk short distances. It is highly recommended to buy a pack of adult diapers and wear them because of blood not only in the urine bag but dripping out of the urethra as well. A slight burning pain is to be expected from time to time. Starting on the third day i experienced quite some pain when sitting on chairs or hard surfaces longer than 20 minutes. Sitting on my sofa or armchair was however possible without issue. After 1 week I was given the option to remove the catheter. However, at that time I felt some pain and decided to wait another week, even as mentioned the catheter was very inconvenient and sometimes painful. Today the catheter was removed (close to 2 weeks after Rezum), during removal i had a strong burning pain lasting 2 or 3 seconds. I was told to wait in the hospital until after 2 times of urination to see if there are any problems with that. Urination was ok, but not particularly strong with lots of blood coming out. Some hours later the bleeding seems to be less. Frequency and urgency of urination is annoying so far. Next appointment will be in 2 weeks and I will keep you updated. All expenses were paid by my insurance passportcard (luckily i have in and outpatient coverage which is very expensive but since some time already I am glad to have it because of several issues and the Rezum coverage was confirmed within less than 24 hours).
  13. Just google Nan loop, you will find excellent informations.
  14. I would bring it to an authorized Kawasaki bigbike dealer, not just any other shop.
  15. You can rent CBX 500 bikes in Loei, not too far from Udon. Daily flights from Bangkok are available. If interested just google Loei Adventure Touring or Saloon pub Loei or find the owner Chris Roemer on Facebook.
  16. Thanks for telling us your experience. Sounds positive, i might do the same in next year.
  17. Just buy generic medication like Vilerm tablets, much more affordable than original brands.
  18. You can register in CM with the document from Bkk and you will get a Bkk plate in CM. I did the same in another province.
  19. I saw it at several larger Boots pharmacies. The price was much more than that, imported products are expensive here.
  20. quote: atripla is western first line defense IIRC, no short changing at all. Atripla was removed as first line treatment in the West some time ago, in the US 7 years ago already. There are better and newer medications available with less side effects.
  21. The only solution to keep pidgeons away from balcony areas is proper bird netting. If you want to fix them yourself you can buy them in Homepro, the nets are cut in handy pieces of 2m or so. Forget about sharp spikes, you will hurt yourself more than the birds. In Bangkok you can also contact specialized companies who will sell the nets including installation service.
  22. Just as an update to the op as at first I was sceptical about the quoted figures of insurance premium. I had a longer discussion with Passportcard directly as last year my premium increased by 43% after my 60's birthday. After directly asking them about future premiums I was told that upon renewal in 3 months from now my premium will be increased again by more than 40% because of blah blah blah sharply increasing costs of healthcare in Thailand, inflation and so on. That means I will have to pay the double amount than beginning 2021 similar to the op. However, Passportcard was in my opinion a low cost insurer compared to other companies and with age 60 premium is catching up with unusual high increases. As I was told that every 5 years a new age group will bring a large increase I will also have keep this in mind as at some point premium will not be longer affordable with increases in age groups.
  23. To be fair this is a very difficult road even for experienced drivers. Steep declines with sharp curves. A lot of accidents happen there. And you have to use a low gear, otherwise brakes will overheat. Vehicles must be in good condition and drivers on full alert to be able to drive this road.. I went there several times riding my motorbike.
  24. I was not able to edit my post to give some additional information. Within the MyHealth International plan you have to fill in your personal contact details as well as nationality and country of residence and so on and. Online quotation will be shown within a few seconds. At least it worked for me. Alternatively you can also use the April UK website with similar plans.
  25. Do not click on the My Health Thailand plan, this is the Thai plan. You have to find the My Health International plan and there is an option to get an online quote from France.
