  1. I once let a repair shop install a low priced battery into my Samsung phone. The phone was slightly damaged during the process. The new battery lasted around 10 days. Never again.
  2. What is new? I have this app on my phone since several years already. I think there are only some updates and changes to the app.
  3. Nice, but I doubt that any road assistance insurance will go there to help you out. 😉
  4. Exactly. Real bikers do not ride near large cities, no fun and no adventure there.
  5. I tried that before but there seems to be none. But certain brands like BMW, Ducati, Honda offer one if you buy their bikes. i contacted the insurer directly and was told that other brands are not accepted.
  6. I fully agree with that. I would not buy from a Tik Tok shop or other online sources. For a sofa you have to sit on it and move around to see if it is comfortable. And you can touch the quality of the material as well.
  7. It makes sense because the credit card will block the purchase amount on your card against your credit limit but you will have to pay monthly. The seller has the guarantee that you will pay your installments. Without the credit card there is a risk of default for the seller. I use this system all the time for larger purchases.
  8. In Centralworld is one floor with furniture companies. I bought an excellent leather sofa there from SB furniture or SB Design square. You can first take a look at the website ศูนย์รวมเฟอร์นิเจอร์ตกแต่งบ้าน ส่งทั่วไทย | SB Design Square
  9. Certain banks only, for example Bangkok Bank, Krungsri, Kasikorn. If you go below the secured deposit your credit card limit will decrease accordingly. But you have to apply and sign the new limit first. You cannot just withdraw the pledged funds.
  10. You need to show a work permit and salary paid in Thailand. Alternatively you can apply for a secured credit card. In this case you have to deposit an amount as security which you cannot withdraw as long as you have the credit card.
  11. The limit is still there at Don Mueang airport.
  12. I know very well the differences and I did not go into length. I simply pointed out that I am not required to pay capital gain taxes until now. You are correct in saying that it is a difference for asset rich investors. I was not aware of that and I accept your correction.
  13. The details about to tax foreigners in Thailand are not even exactly specified by parliament. There are still discussions going on. Nobody knows exactly what will be required next year. Until now I was not required to declare taxes here because my for my income withholding tax is already deducted here. I am not in panic mode like most of other members here.
  14. OK, for large private investors you are correct, there is a capital gain tax for gains overseas. For the majority of us smaller investors I believe it is irrelevant for us. The Thai tax authorities do not have any interest in that.
  15. I did not claim that they will not apply. I wrote that I doubt it.
  16. Banks have started to ask for customers TAX TIN number. It is not longer enough to tell your tax residency.
  17. At least for the Thai SET capital gains are tax free here. I doubt that in reality it will apply to international investing for smaller individual investors. Let's wait and see. Until now there is nothing really clear for the new law.
  18. I doubt that capital gains (share gains of investments) overseas will be taxed here as Thailand does not have a capital gain tax for individual investors.
  19. Every supermarket, maybe even 7/11 is selling small spray bottles of ARS 1push. Just one short press keeps your room mosquito free for 24 hours. And no danger for human health.
  20. There are different saline nasal sprays available in Thai pharmacies.
  21. Sticker removal spray or liquid. Available in many shops, department stores and office equipment branches.
  22. Increased sentiment because a new government will start to work. Funds flowing into the Thai Stock Exchange. Hope of decreasing interest rates in the US weaken the USD.
  23. Foodland has excellent local beef filet. Expensive at around 600-700 Baht per kg. 700 Baht upwards is the best.
  24. The OP did also not ask you to judge other members answers.
  25. Yes, you will receive AIS SMS messages if are overseas.
