  1. Surely you remember sparktrader/bignok/uttaradit/dolf/maybe some other names that passed me by, the artist currently known as susanlea? Bit like Sean Combs/Puff Daddy/P Diddy/Diddy/Love etc but even more of a knob.
  2. Not in the slightest....
  3. You know full well that sparktrader/bignok/uttaradit/dolf has always been like this. Why are you surprised?
  4. Thanks for posting this. I have just purchased some sachets from 7/11 for my mum who suffers from the same problem. Can you please clarify how you take it and how often? I assume it's the whole sachet mixed with 150ml-250ml cold water. Did you take it for several days before any effects or did one sachet do the trick? Would you take it every day or just as and when needed? Any additional info much appreciated and thank you for the useful tip.
  5. Spot on. We would have Evaporated milk on our tinned fruit cocktail or tinned peach halves after the Sunday dinner. The Condensed milk is the stuff they put in the Thai coffee and is much thicker. You could boil a tin of that unopened for about 6 hours and it would become caramel sauce for sticky toffee pudding etc. Thankfully, Carnation now sells the caramel sauce so no need to go to all that effort.
  6. I'm not sure if you are taking the pish or not but I'm told by a few friends who reside in Pattaya that the breakfast here is pretty good (never been myself). It's not a pub but does sell alcohol. They also recommend the 'English takeaway style' Chinese food. https://www.facebook.com/kungshotsausage/menu/
  7. How's your day on the sauce panning out Bob? Having fun? I do agree that it somehow tastes that little bit better on these 'forbidden' days. Cheers 🍻
  8. I must admit, I'm having a few cans of Singha and being frowned at by the Mrs. I cooked a pan of sausages earlier to soak up some of the beer later (sausage, fried onions, coleman's English mustard baguette(s)). Naively, I did it shirtless and got a big spit of hot fat right on my left nipple. A very big 'som num na' from the Mrs. for that one. 555
  9. That chap in the white vest and shorts isn't fitting through a bathroom window to gain access....
  10. Weightlifting?
  11. I think you will find that's the Scottish. Notorious balloon chasers. Anything for a free feed. I saw a Scot drop a one baht coin the other day. He bent down so quickly to pick it up, it hit him on the back of the head.
  12. Says the man who spends half his life in Tinnies Pies....
  13. Gin never gave me any ill effects. I just didn't like the person I could become if I had too many G&T's in my much younger days. Now I do not partake to avoid myself and other people having to suffer the AHole I could morph into. I'm sure a couple of G&T's nowadays wouldn't do me any harm and I always enjoyed the taste.
  14. I always used to think of the worse case scenario outcome even before I had done something whether that be work, going somewhere, an awkward conversation to be had etc. Then one day, I just thought 'feck it, worry about it when there's something to worry about'. I try to continue with that way of thinking but do still have my moments.
  15. But coincidentally, your posting name is a legitimate flight number - it's a Flybe flight between Visby and Stockholm in Sweden. I know, I've got too much time on my hands. I really need to get out more.....
  16. You think 'that leftover moo ping has only been on the table for 2 days uncovered - yeah, it'll be ok to eat'.
  17. I've got some cans of Tappers, couple of Singhas and an Abbo's handbag. Plus two small Smirnoff Ice for the good lady.
  18. Never had it made with Condensed milk but my Nan used to make it with Carnation Evaporated milk which wasn't so dense as the condensed milk. When I was a kid we would have a doorstep of crusty bread with condensed milk slathered on it when we got home from school. If there wasn't any condensed milk in the house, we'd have the bread and butter with sugar sprinkled on top. Next two hours running around like a nutter due to the sugar rush. Happy days! Monday was always a good day as we'd have 'dripping' (the fat and jelly left over from cooking Sunday's roast beef joint) on hot toast. Heart attack waiting to happen but absolutely delicious.
  19. I never intentionally go out to get pi$$ed. But I know when I go out I AM going to get pi$$ed. I think these closed bar days are far more of an inconvenience to us drinkers rather than the sanctimonious preachers who rarely drink but bleat on about the fact they can't enjoy a glass of pinot noir with their bulgur wheat salad on their one day out per month.
  20. I had to get the nearest 7/11 to me to open the 'curtain' on the beer fridge at 11.10am this morning. I wanted to get my preferred beer for the weekend (Tappers cans) before anyone else snaffled them. They only seem to have six in at a time. When I discussed with them that there were no beers sales tomorrow and Sunday they were totally oblivious to this. Baffling when a large chain like that can't tell their ar$e from their elbow.
  21. I think you will struggle to buy it anywhere to be sent as it doesn't 'travel' well. If you have a small kitchen top oven at your residence then it is pretty easy to make with a few ingredients and a baking dish/tin. The other possible option is it's likely that one or two 'English' restaurants in Pattaya sell it as a desert (along with apple/fruit crumble which is also very tasty as I'm sure you are aware). The restaurants that offer Sunday roast etc. They may well be able to pack you up a couple of portions aswell as takeaway which will reheat ok in a microwave. Best of luck with your search.
  22. Ah yes, but will you be riding a bicycle? In the immortal words of Hill Street Blues - 'Let's be careful out there'
  23. Being mindful of the impending 'dry' weekend, this morning I thought I'd better get some supplies in for the weekend. Off I went to 7/11 on my bicycle and bought 8 large bottles of Singha Reserve and put them in my bicycle basket. Just as I was about to return home I thought 'hang on, what happens to all the beer if I fall off my bicycle?' So I sat outside 7/11 and drank the lot, one after the other. Turned out to be a very wise decision as I fell off my bike seven times on the way home.
  24. On a past recommendation of yours, I just purchased some cans of Tapper (6.5%) from 7/11 - 56 baht per can. Thought I'd better get some supplies in for the 'dry' impending weekend. Just cracked a can to see what it's like. Lovely drop of beer. Doesn't taste like a 'strong' lager and leaves a very smooth aftertaste. 👍 for the recommendation - Cheers 🍻
  25. Thank you very much for your prompt response, much appreciated.
