  1. Back in the days I liked a tiny club on soi Cowboy called the Penny Black. No joke. Really cool place where bar girls come to chill after work. Not too many farangs.
  2. Can't read that unfortunately. Shows up in Thai for me. Interesting job ???? Ok so all the buses in the network aren't part of the same company, right? How does it go? Each color is a different company with different prices? Is there a map available somewhere or even better an app to find my way in this maze? Guys, thank you so much. I know I've been asking many questions and I appreciate you taking the time to reply ????
  3. By the way, how about the buses ? Is the bus network good ? How much is it ? Passes available ? Do you have a link to the official website ? Thx ! @Crossy @Celcius @Seppius @tomazbodner
  4. Well thanks for your replies. I'm not gonna lie. This is disappointing. Bangkok municipality should make monthly and yearly passes mandatory for all public transportation companies (train, BTS, MRT, buses, etc...). Thailand signed the Kyoto protocol in 1999 and the Paris agreement in 2016. Might be about time to act on it and make public transportation attractive to people. Just sayin' ????
  5. I'm in Pattaya right now. Many cheap rooms available (even on Agoda). Hotels are far from being fully booked. Pretty logical if you look at tourism numbers. I'm leaving for Bangkok soon. Even there I found extremely good deals which means hotels are struggling getting enough customers.
  6. In the soi Bua Khao / soi Pothole area, you will find tons of signs for rooms around 4000THB/month. Same thing in the area just above Walking Street. Book a cheap hotel for a couple of days and then go for a walk to find your monthly rental. Shouldn't take you long: tourism is still pretty weak. So many places have rooms available even though high season is approaching ????
  7. Hi guys, Is there a monthly pass available for the BTS and MRT? If so, does that pass allow access to both transportation systems? How much is it? Thanks for your help ????????
  8. There are so many different configurations to book anyway. I always book through Agoda with a Wise card and that gives me a 6% discount on my rooms on top of all the other discounts that the site offers (long stay discount, flash sales...). You end up with a price that is difficult to beat. Now some places aren't on Agoda or Booking etc... And it's true that you can get some great deal with them. I've seen rooms with a monthly rent of 4000-5000THB. At that price the only thing you gonna find on Agoda are dorms. So it really depends on how you wanna play your cards.
  9. Didn't work on my maps.me application ???? Those are laundries and not laundromats but I've modified the request in the search engine and got what I needed. Thanks ????????
  10. Hi guys, Just trying to figure out how things are in Patong right now. Tourism, nightlife, prices, etc... Hotels are pretty cheap on Agoda right now eventhough high season is starting. So I was wondering... Thanks for sharing your views on the current state of affairs ????
  11. Hi guys, I'm looking for a good laundromat not too far from the soi Si Bamphen / soi Suwan Sawat junction (Sathorn). If you have any suggestions, please comment below. Thanks ????
  12. It doesn't look quiet. It is quiet. Not sure it's a good thing for anybody really. If workers ain't happy, they can't really make their customers happy. The vib in most bars is just horrible and fake. It has been a pleasure exploring Pattaya for a few weeks but leaving for BKK in a few days seems to be the right move for me. I will miss the Otteri laundromat though... Who ? ????
  13. Weekends are usually better for sure. I agree. Don't know why... Maybe expats going out on Fridays and Saturdays? It is far from what I've known 5-6 years ago though. I remember Walking Street being so packed one had to "fight" his way through the crowd - especially in that little soi where Sapphire is. Pretty crazy. Might have been high season though. Can't really remember. Anyway, no need to flip about a little police stunt. It happens now and then. No big deal imo.
  14. Yes I do. Just ask business owners and girls what they think about the current state of affairs. Not good at all. Went to Walking Street the other night just to compare with the Bua Khao area. Thought it would be better but it was actually worse. And it was around 10pm. Weekends are a bit better for sure though.
  15. Who cares? The nightlife in Pattaya is pretty much dead anyway.
