  1. Troll or naive.
  2. Social media broadcaster. Historian? Not by any standards I am aware and the study/teaching of American/European History has been my my field for over half my now retired lifetime.
  3. So, I have been working on my own genealogy, guess that can be expected from a retired history Professor. My lines are traceable far back in the British Isles and further back through my DNA test results. I looked back to my Great Grandfathers' to see my listed "Granduncles" and Grandaunts" (they being in the late 1800s). Then I looked at their children who would have been Brothers and Sisters of my Grandfathers (Cooper and West). Then I looked at their children who would have the same relationship with me as the pictured kin would have to Tim Walz (Cousins, 1st removed). Only ... I do not carry my family tree out to those children as they are too distant from me and I certainly have never known any of them. ... what else you got? This dog won't hunt ... Immediate family rejecting support is a matter I would take a look at ... yep, with Walz but then equally with immediate Trump family members rejecting support as to why.
  4. Maybe it was the "goup" that confused the search. My computer shows pages of returns on the search. By the way, thanks for throwing up the challenge as I am sure, by doing so, you encouraged more people to test the search and perhaps read the articles of how many are turning away from Trump.
  5. Wait, what? Crickets from the usual Trump supporters. Come on ... awaiting your creative thinking ...
  6. First, the disruption of the election. Local precincts refusing to certify to the state. Perhaps, state officials refusing to certify the vote. That brings on the law suits. But there are mandatory Constitutional timeline demands so the courts will intervene. As a national Presidential election is in question ... immediate SCOTUS involvement. After all, a major Constitutional crisis. Trump loses by an overwhelming popular vote (more than the 3 million votes opposing him in 2016, more than the 7 million votes opposing him in 2020 ... I'm looking for 10+ million votes opposing in 2024). He will count on the Electoral College. The Electoral College overthrows an overwhelming popular vote and ... Katy bar the door. Increasingly happy to be an American economic working middle class refugee. My mail-in, Absentee Ballot will, no doubt be attacked y MAGA as it will definitely be cast in opposition to Trump and his Project 2025 ilk.
  7. Thanks. I had not seen before. Certainly an assault was shown. I take your point of not actually seeing battery.
  8. And the results of what? 60 lawsuits finding no widespread voter fraud as accused ...
  9. Hmm, damning all those who oppose the destruction of a US participatory democracy? Yes, I certainly do hope there is an overwhelming bias/prejudice in support of the American documented fair/free elections.
  10. And so, an attempt to influence US elections, including from a Russian connection has been defeated keeping our American elections secure is successful. There should be little doubt that we will experience multiple attempts by foreign and domestic enemies of the US participatory democracy to sow doubt on US elections. As an American being familiar with local election safeguards, I trust implicitly that my mail-in "Absentee Ballot" will be duly recorded by my local election officials (and I thank them for their dedication while under threat).
  11. Wow! Quite a stretch to imply that those late attempts somehow equates with bringing on the French Revolution.
  12. Apology, garbled statement. Should be ... I just got the image of in my mind. The interviews of President and Vice Presidents doing interviews together can be found by doing an internet search as a matter of public record.
  13. "The Marxist tag may well stick and hit home". Yes, but only with the ignorant ... and due note, ignorant means one without knowledge.
  14. Agreed and consistent with my approach as an older retired American. Quite honestly stated that I was not rich. That I could not afford to retire in my own country. That I had a sustainable monthly income of the required immigration 65K. Willing to share that amount but ... that is all there is (any baht currency benefit goes toward trips mostly). Going on 8 years.
  15. Oops, forgot to post the credible source of this post?
  16. Ha! Whoa, I just had the sage of Pence holding Donald's hand when they too did a campaign interview together ... but that was different ... of course,
  17. Respect your outlook. Mine, however, is that her campaign handled it wisely. First out to the campaign gatherings to continue building momentum following the convention. Then the interviews.
  18. Some folks commenting on Presidential Nominee doing an interview with their Vice Presidential Nominee has a long established history, including Trump in the past.
  19. Involves Social Security ... 3rd rail so avoided in discussion.
  20. I am thinking, Thailand being very mindful of the Chinese interests in Myanmar ...
  21. While I understand your assessment, do we give up our wallet with the gun at our head? What choice. History does document that there was an active resistance of the Free Thai both within and outside of Thai government. My only point is that I can understand that to absolutely confront can mean virtual elimination. Tough call ...
  22. Sorry, I went back for further reading. Thailand declared war on Great Britain and the United States on January 25, 1942. The British responded by declaring war on Thailand; the U.S. government ignored Thailand’s declaration of war. The war declaration on the USA was delivered through the Swiss government, representing US interests in Thailand. It was Seni Pramot, Thailand's Ambassador to the US who reportedly did not deliver the declaration of war in Washington. That may have been a face saving story as Pridi pointed out in raising the question as to way Seni would have been directed to deliver the declaration already transmitted through the Swiss previously.
  23. Until he has his day (s) in court and a American citizen Trial Jury hears the evidence that the American citizen Grand Jury decided presented enough evidence to warrant a Trial.
  24. Oh, I agree but seems quite acceptable in SCOTUS Justice Thomas' case. I long ago had to face the reality that money has corrupted many, if not all, American society institutions of government, as well as business.
  25. Illegally appointed? Says the one Jude appointed by Trump. I'll wait to see what a full 11th Circuit Court finds as Smith's Appeal certainly outlines the validity of all such appointments in long usage, including during the Trump Administration.
