Drink deep, my brothers, of the delicious tears of the deluded left!
Wrwest replied to Hanaguma's topic in Political Soapbox
"... gigantic mistake made allowing those incapable to participate in voting" certainly we will shortly learn if that was the case in the recent American election ... -
Slice of toast with slice of cheese, boiled egg, Oscar Meyer Wiener with a cup of coffee. Tomorrow, oatmeal with a banana and cup of coffee.

The '50-50 Race' Pre-Election Polls Were Phony

what I would like matters not, they will do what they will do ... a waste of my life's remaining time to make a wish list. -
The '50-50 Race' Pre-Election Polls Were Phony
Wrwest replied to rwilem's topic in Political Soapbox
I'm thinking ... it is the friend/lover in whom we put your belief/trust which causes the stronger reaction of disappointment/heartbreak (rather than those we know who oppose us openly). Absolutely, the Democrats received the brunt of the built-up justified frustration/anger from the working middle class. I would observe, however, that the traditional Republican Party has also been rejected out of the same emotion. Thus, the majority are following Trump who has given voice to the frustration/anger. OK, now Trump and his Project 2025 ilk are in government. All bthree branches of government are in their control (yikes! cold shiver down my back) ... let's see what they do to address that built-up frustration/anger within the working middle class ... -

Absolutely agree. And now they have total responsibility for the results. Popcorn is ready ... watching from halfway around the globe ... -
The '50-50 Race' Pre-Election Polls Were Phony

While I do not agree with Rubio on much, I cannot oppose his appointment as he has the needed background. As to Healthcare appointments? Lack of qualifications and sadly into conspiracy theories, in addition to the foolish anti-vaccine stance. While I allow that, in hindsight, we might have taken some different steps on the inconsistency of isolating ... we were dealing with a new virus pandemic. I would add, more drastic steps taken in light of the Trump caused unnecessary deaths. As far as vaccines in general? DPT baby shots ... polio, smallpox, etc. science based benefits. The majority of voters supported Trump and the Project 2025 aims. Have at it ... and the benefits or total responsibility for the results. Sorry, I don't want to spin my wheels on Gabbert, inexperience in Defense (administrative not military service). Trump clearly stated he wants to disrupt ... appointing many of these folks will certainly do the trick. Let's see what the Republican Senators will do with these nominees and any stated reasoning. -
I would remind all that the policies followed are in accord with US Immigration Law. There was an opportunity to begin addressing the issue we all recognize ... Trump called on Republicans in Congress to kill the bi-partisan agreed on immigration proposed law bill so he could harp on "open borders" as a campaign issue. Seems to have succeeded in large measure.

The '50-50 Race' Pre-Election Polls Were Phony

As has been observed, this representation is misleading as it shows land mass not people voting. Absolutely, Trump and his Project 2025 ilk won this election. And I do not care to waste time on "what ifs", awaiting concrete actions ... such as the majority of his nominees for appointed posts. Quite positive ... to carry out his stated goal of disrupting the federal government. -
The '50-50 Race' Pre-Election Polls Were Phony

While I agree, as an American, I will await the concrete results. We have a beginning in his appointments ... less than impressive qualifications for most but quite good to achieve his stated goal of disrupting the government institutions. Well, that is what my fellow Americans voted to support. Me? I am an economic refugee living in a lower cost country. I will keep my head down and sadly observe from the other side of the globe. -

The President’s Dilemma: Weighing Justice, Hunter, and Legacy
Wrwest replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Confess to having mixed emotions. Trump gets off scot free from the valid federal charges, of which, we are all aware. Commutation? Adding to the idea of the rich and famous being above the law? Or tit for tat? I really don't know the best way here. -

Agreed. Two accounts, use monthly transfers $2200.00 usd monthly) so no cumulative amount meeting the requirements. My status is an economic refugee unable to afford a sustainable working middle class retirement in the USA. -
Agreed. And thus is the place to which both major political parties have brought us through their policies, actions/inactions. I thought we might squeak by the knock down/drag out fight with the hope that the American majority would reject Trump and his Project 2025 ilk, putting overwhelming responsibility on the Democrats to “put up or shut up”. I was fully appreciative of the justified frustration/anger within the working middle class as a result of the economic squeeze over the past decades (afterall, I could not have a sustainable retirement in the USA and thus am an economic refugee in a lower cost country). OK, enough voters have declared they were not willing to take a further chance that the Democrats might follow the reasoning of Bernie Sanders and move forcefully to address the very real issues of the working middle class. We should not miss the additional message … that same voting majority has rejected the traditional Republicans also. That is why they followed Trump who has declared that, indeed the American federal government system is in need of drastic change. While some of us vehemently oppose Trump, we agree that drastic changes are needed … we find no evidence that Trump and his Project 2025 ilk will make progress forward in the interest of the working middle class. I expect any progress in this direction to stand out as an aberration in the next four years. So have at it fellow Americans … I am estranged from you as I think your choice will spell a major disaster. I feel certain that I will not be able to support nor defend most of what is about to take place. And Republicans? Congratulations, ALL responsibility is now yours … you allowed/supported him as your party’s leader again, you now have the Presidency, majorities in the House of Representatives, the Senate and thanks the Sen. McConnell (R-KY) the additional majority control of the Supreme Court of the United States.

White House Retreats from Public Eye After Trump Victory
Wrwest replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Agreed. Soundly defeated 76+ million popular vote vs 73+ million popular vote, no denying the rejection by the American voting majority. I too am feeling estranged from my country. Those who supported Trump and the Project 2025 ilk ... have at it. No, I do not wish "good luck" because while I join in the justified frustration/anger. I think following this direction to be a very serious, sad wrong decision. -
Not really a surprise from a general populace reading at the 7th-8th grade level (who are filled with justified frustration/anger at the working middle class economic squeeze). I should add ... the result of the policies, actions/inactions of both major political parties. Thus, they have rejected both the Democrats and traditional Republicans and followed Trump and his Project 2025 ilk.

I await Day One as he is actively (Trump has stated publicly) preparing a host of Executive Orders to take effect immediately. should be akin to a grenade going off and most likely, due to the impressive number of orders, impossible to take immediate effect. May we live in interesting times ... Well, this is what the majority of American voters supported by voting for Trump.

While I file FBAR some years, if I do not hold over $10,000.00 usd in an account at any time during the year, I am not required to file FBAR. As to FACTA ... required only if over $50,000.00 usd so does not apply to me. -
