I think he's saying sitting in a bar drinking is devoid of meaning. Work gives meaning.

a few good quotes in here ...

interesting take by Nixon.

And the apps don't attract creepy losers? I don't go into bars often, but when I walk by the women seem to be having fun sometimes being chatted up by the creeps and playing pool. And the advantage of being in a bar is they can make additional money with drinks. Maybe some girls rely mostly on drinks and don't even go with customers that much. Maybe the bars will disappear, but probably not. May be fewer of them ...

So, did Biden have a body double wearing a mask?
-
Also, speaks differently. At 11:33, he's mumbling incoherently. But then at 11:45, he sounds very different.
-
If you look at this photo, the neck is darker than the face, suggesting this man may be wearing a MASK. Masks have gotten very sophisticated.

eSims can be bought separately, no? any other compelling reason to have the iphone over an android? I've never owned an iphone or felt like I needed to. also, since you have a 2018 model, you're missing the entire point of the iPhone. it is a status symbol. and a 2018 shows maybe even lower status than a modern Chinese android. maybe you dont care about status, but does the 2018 iPhone really have the up to date stuff that's on a new android? fingerprinting? face recognition? you can't even use the bank apps without these features.

nah, it doesn't help much. great art is too deep for most people. not many people actually take it in. or even if they did, they wouldn't know what to do with it. because most people are glued to cnn and fox news. no one ever heard of this guy, but everyone knows who anderson cooper is. -

I didn't experience people being fired. I didn't see it in my life. So I don't care about your links. Life experience is the most reliable teacher as news is too distorted and cannot be trusted. -

Employers didn't even check where I was. They dropped it soon after the vaxes were administered. I will take any claims of massive job losses as fake news as I did not witness this in my own life. I don't even think employers were legally allowed to ask if you had taken the jab. Ostracized from society is again blown out of proportion by the fear-mongering news. Being labeled a conspiracy theorist ... well, the conspiracy folks are advertising themselves. They can choose to be more discrete about it if they want to, but they are the ones who get in people's faces with their anti-vax claims and of course you will have some backlash when you express unpopular opinions. But conspiracy folks are made tough. They can handle it. -

Yeah but is it really the political parties or the evil media fear-mongering and blowing things out of proportion? Is the media a trusted mouthpiece of the govt with all the lies and distortions? Terrorists supposedly .... and yet .... nothing happened to people who refused to take the vaccine. -

There should be psychological evaluations of anyone posting on AN too. -
You people are putting an overly negative spin on this. If you can't find a job, you can still volunteer or attend school to be eligible. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/22/upshot/medicaid-republicans-work-requirement.html The current proposal would require childless adults without disabilities who want Medicaid coverage to prove that they had worked, volunteered or attended school for 80 hours in the month before enrollment.

I did. https://theins.ru/en/society/281495 The Insider. But .ru means what? Russia? Here's another one. Cornell University. There must be thousands of these articles, and most people will not take the time to try to figure out if it's a reliable news source. And it's almost impossible to know what's reliable information in this day and age, anyway. You want free speech? You got it. Now no one knows what to believe anymore. https://as.cornell.edu/news/trumps-abrupt-decision-play-dj-sign-accelerating-cognitive-decline-says-cornell-expert

I just googled it and sure enough there are news articles about Trump's cognitive decline, backed by real life psychiatrists, of course. Not saying it's true, but I'm saying anybody can put a spin on anything and there is an army of spin doctors out there doing just that. Again, good luck getting the last word and finding the smoking gun. There's way too much spin out there. https://theins.ru/en/society/281495
