    Stand by for a ton of conspiracy theories in the wake of the attempt on Trump's life. I'm not buying any of that. This was pure incompetence by the Secret Service. How could a gunman get access to a roof under those circumstances? President Biden has reason to worry about his own safety if this is the best they can do. Trump has pulled a "Teddy Roosevelt" and may just grab an extra couple of terms as he becomes a near martyr.

    I won't allow my contempt for Trump to blind me to the fact that he has a very good chance at another term or possibly two. I made that mistake in 2016. because I could not believe that Americans would vote this monster into office. I realized then that I had lost the ability to call elections. I want to see Trump out at any cost. I am tired of stupidity and incompetence.

    We will recover from Trump, just as we have recovered from many other crisis-situations. One man cannot sink the ship of state. Trump will be dead soon and his MAGA followers will have no place to go.

Even though I draw about100 thousand baht a month in retirement income, there are many on this forum who consider me a backpacker. This attitude is what drives the Immigration idea that Thailand needs only wealthy expats.
